Yes if you have a phone that iPhone X and up you’re good to go. I just converted my SIM card to e sim today because I will be upgrading to 14 pro and will swap over. It should work fine
Likely not since you have to let visible know the Imei of your new iPhone esim. Same with T-Mobile esim because you have to tell them the long id number for the iPhone for their system to recognize you, because their QR code is generic, but the system recognizes your phone on the back end assuming it’s registered properly
A little off topic but Visible should really expand their esim program by allowing their currently customers with a physical sim transfer to an esim, a similar issue is when anyone purchasing an iPhone from Visible, they are getting an actual sim card and the only way to get an esim is BYOD which to me is going backwards.
Anyone know why a prepaid Iphone SE 2020 wont activate with sim card put in ? It says the Sim card is not compatible. But its a ATT phone an a ATT sim card.
Wonder if I have a s22 and iPhone. Both have numbers but I want to swap both. Do I need a temporary third phone? Or will it just swap the two devices automatically?
Swap the number you want on the iPhone to the iPhone first. The iPhone can store multiple eSIM profiles at the same time. Then swap from the iPhone to the S22.
Dumb question(s): So when you transfer over and eSIM, it automatically can no longer be used on your previous phone? Or can you now the same number on both phones?
Is my phone glitching or is it showing I can transfer a physical sim to an esim? because I have an iPhone 11 with a physical Sim ATT. Plan and an iPhone XR and it showing I can transfer my physical Sim phone number to my eSIM on my XR?
I’m going to try this as I have two iPhones and I want to have a work phone I use in the week and the other is my weekend phone. And wish back every weekend… I hope there isn’t a limit to this. Like I wish it was a real sim Cuz I couldn’t be stopped at all.
What if my current iphone 11 has a physical sim and i bought an unlocked phone from apple (iphone13). How would i get my service on my new phone and have access to 5g that my plan offers? Can i transfer the physical sim to an esim on the new phone and take advantage of 5g? Hope that makes sense
Yes. First, insert your physical SIM into your new iPhone 13. If you’d like, you can stop here and everything will just work. However, if you’d prefer to use eSIM, iOS 15 has a new setting that will automatically let you convert your physical SIM to an eSIM. Just go to Settings > Cellular and tap “convert to eSIM”. The convert to eSIM option may not be available for all plans or carriers. But it should work for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
@@StetsonDoggett awesome thanks for the info! Do I need to get a new physical sim tho to get 5g? If I don’t then I’d would just swap sims. Thanks Stetson!
I wanna go from iPhone 13 to iPhone 7 but I don't think it will work :( iPhone 7 doesn't have eSim and my 13 doesn't have a physical SIM card inside to transfer out
Hey, nice video! Just a quick question since you mentioned that esim is bounded to your Apple ID. Does wiping down the iPhone through iTunes removes the esim entirety?
anyone having problems moving esim cellular plan between iphones on Verizon? i have a Pro and a Pro Max. I like the Max for home and when out on the job i take the Pro. trying to move the esim it gets me an error message.
Unlimited but just be careful and patient. I messed up many times and had to call ATT. I had the pro max and the mini and swapped for my weekend jobs. Works perfect and better than physical sim. I can’t do it on Verizon or T-Mobile
New iPhone 14 will be esim only. Will this method work from old iPhone physical SIM card to new iPhone 14 esim? Thanks.
Yes if you have a phone that iPhone X and up you’re good to go. I just converted my SIM card to e sim today because I will be upgrading to 14 pro and will swap over. It should work fine
Can you switch back and forth?
do the two phones have to be on the same iOS when doing this?
Not able to find cellular option on my iPhone SE three and iPhone 12, why is it so?
how about for visible esim wil the process be the same you showed us
Likely not since you have to let visible know the Imei of your new iPhone esim.

I have been searching for this kind of technical solution to transfer my Indian esim from one iPhone to another. Thanks buddy. We explained.
Did you try this in India to move esim between iPhones, and if yes - did it work?

Stetson, thanks for the information and have a nice holiday weekend.
What about when it says transfer not supported and it’s grayed out? Is this something a carrier can block?
same issue here
Would this work if I grab a new iPhone while my current iPhone is still under lease payments? Even though my lease payments are $0 per month?
Did it work?
Do you think I can switch back and forth everyday? For using two iPhones with same iCloud but one for entertainment and one for work.
I want to know too
That’s Cool. I was just telling a friend about how easy it was to set up and esim plan. Didn’t know you could transfer the esim youself
me too and here i see they want to to get new one and new every time this is ridiculous.... all for moneys.... hope is this works here in my country

sim may be locked
Well then you can't transfer ur esim
Im not getting rhe optiion for add cellular plan for whatever reason
after i upload my old iPhone backup into my new iPhone, then do a eSim transfer. That’s fine right?
A little off topic but Visible should really expand their esim program by allowing their currently customers with a physical sim transfer to an esim, a similar issue is when anyone purchasing an iPhone from Visible, they are getting an actual sim card and the only way to get an esim is BYOD which to me is going backwards.
They have this available as long as your phone is compatible.
can we use the sim in one i phone (with all the functions) and transfer only the data plan to another i phone(Share)?
what if your 1st phone is already broken and you can't approve the eSIM transfer?
You need to contact your current carrier’s customer support so they can help you out.
What about swapping between iphone and samsung?
Is it possible to transfer the same way from Iphone to Ipad back and forward e.g. if I want to use cellular data!?
How about a video Google pixel 8 a to the new iPhone 16?
Hi, thanks for your great video. What about if I want transfer my number back to my old iPhone, can I do it?
Can i put it on ipad without card features?
Can you please do a demo of this on a android phone. Ty

what if your phone w eSim gets lost and you need to put your esim in a backup?
What about back to previous phone?
Obviously you can but have yet to see anyone do it on video
How do you transfer the remaining esims which are inactive from the old iphone to new iphone?
Can we do the same for - Pixel phones ?
I have no option on my new phone to choose from any other plan when I tap add cellular plan
Does the eSIM move automatically from one iPhone to the other if I transfer from phone to phone?
Wonder if I have a s22 and iPhone. Both have numbers but I want to swap both. Do I need a temporary third phone? Or will it just swap the two devices automatically?
Swap the number you want on the iPhone to the iPhone first. The iPhone can store multiple eSIM profiles at the same time. Then swap from the iPhone to the S22.
Ok now how to switch it back now both my phones are off
How can you transfer
from eSim to regula sim?? Can you use iMessage on both numbers?? 🤔
What about from an iPhone that does not have esim like an 8 Plus?
Do you need Face ID to transfer your number or I don’t
what do i do if my old phone is broken?
You did this after backing up all other data from your old iphone and restoring it to the new one through iTunes?
well i wish i can do that beacuse my old phone broke and now on my new I only have that card and I don't know what to do now
Changing esim doesnt do anything to phone correct? All other data stays?
Correct.
The old plan is no there for me so idk what to do
Do you know how to transfer for us mobile?
Saved me a trip to the wireless phone store! Thank you
How do I transfer it back to my old phone
is the previous phone can activate the esim after transfer it to other phone? or its disable already after transfering it to other phone?
i did this and it says i have no service
