Crazy how companies get away with false advertising. If you say unlimited priority, it should be unlimited. 300GB its not unlimited. 900GB is not unlimited. How hard is it to just be transparent?

I think the problem comes when you think about how advertisers would take advantage of different caps. If your 99 percentile only uses 10gb a month, you could set your cap at 20gb. That seems reasonable. But your competitor will advertise at 50gb cap, because almost nobody is using over 10gb, so it almost won't matter at all if you increase the cap. Then the next competitor will raise that to 75gb, and so on. To many customers these numbers don't even mean anything, they don't know what they're using a month, so they don't realize that the 50 or 75gb is so useless. So if "Unlimited" covers 99% of your highest usage customers, I think it does start to make sense to advertise this way. Note these numbers are just thrown out there, I don't know what people use on average. Personally I barely use any, like less than a couple gigs a month, so the cap is meaningless to me. I'm not downloading 200gb games like I am on pc.
I didn’t know they were as low as $25. I’ve been thinking about getting a Light Speed SIM for the GSM radio / infotainment I’m installing in my truck. It’s not compatible with Verizon, which is my current service and home internet.

Really underrated imo, but if you're a casual user then it makes sense that it would matter less to you. In the same vein, priority really isn't that important unless you live in very specific areas. When I'm traveling I only have issues at theme parks, and for that month I could just upgrade to priority. I haven't had experience with using carriers that cover multiple sets of towers so I don't know how that factors in though.
I am on Total since last month, getting my discount through the customer support was a hassle but in the end it’s working now. As for the streaming cap- I don’t think there is one. I can definitely stream 4k at-least on RUclips. Seen speeds upto 3gbps on ultrawide band!
@jeffreygoldman8120 thank you Jeff. Am on visible and was considering total wirelles if only if i can stream 4k. Sorry for the dumb question but 4.3mbps is 480p?
Total Wireless throttles Video to 4Mbps on LTE and 5G, and 10Mbps on 5Guw (C-band and mmWave). The price is also locked for 5 years when you sign up... So it can do 4k video, and my iPhone 12 can only do 1440p60 HDR. The hardware can't process higher, but it made no difference between Total Wireless and my fiber WiFi for video playback.

Just switched to total wireless from mint mobiles “unlimited” plan (40gb) to totals 5g+ unlimited. So far no issues whatsoever with total wireless or the customer support team, but my free Disney+ with no ads is having issues not due to totals team but Disneys billing department charging me twice after already confirming in 2 different calls that I do in fact have everything setup properly and issued one refund so far but now having issues with the second charge saying they don’t see the charge but my bank account reflects the first charge, first refund and second charge
Update Disney had to escalate to call to their supervisor for them to see the second charge and the root cause of the issue was their system “stacking” the subscriptions and unpausing the original subscription I had while having the one by total all on the same Disney account they now issued the 2nd refund and assured me it wouldn’t happen again And for clarity my first call with Disney was 30mins total was involved with that call for maybe half of that and the second call to Disney also involving total was almost an hour long and total only being involved for 10-20mins after they confirmed they didn’t charge me I told them it wasn’t an issue whatsoever with total but in fact Disney, Disney then hung up on total before they could finish talking so I’d say totals customer service department is great Disney on the other hand has alright customer service service just terrible billing system (Will update if anything happens again)
For Boston which plan do you recommend? Right now I have mint and paying $40 per month for unlimited. This video was super informative and very helpful!! Thank you so much for creating this!
I don’t have throttled streaming with US Mobile (Verizon one)- I noticed it this weekend when I didn’t have WiFi available. It was defaulting to 720p with RUclips.
It turns out video streaming quality that RUclips shows is different from a video streaming speed cap. The video streaming speed cap artificially limits the speeds of video content. So you could select 4K quality on any plan, but the capped 2 Mbps speeds would cause the video to buffer, for example. Here’s a video with more info on this: ruclips.net/video/Rme2S4Ivio4/видео.html

I just saw a video regarding Visible customer service. Sounded like a horror story. What can you tell us about the customer service of these companies. Also, why is Mint Mobile not in this video?
No. To switch networks, you need to do a network transfer. This takes anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple of hours. If you add a second line on a different network, then you can just toggle between the two networks on your phone with the tap of a button.

Update Disney had to escalate to call to their supervisor for them to see the second charge and the root cause of the issue was their system “stacking” the subscriptions and unpausing the original subscription I had while having the one by total all on the same Disney account they now issued the 2nd refund and assured me it wouldn’t happen again
And for clarity my first call with Disney was 30mins total was involved with that call for maybe half of that and the second call to Disney also involving total was almost an hour long and total only being involved for 10-20mins after they confirmed they didn’t charge me I told them it wasn’t an issue whatsoever with total but in fact Disney, Disney then hung up on total before they could finish talking so I’d say totals customer service department is great Disney on the other hand has alright customer service service just terrible billing system
(Will update if anything happens again)
If you're on a family plan with like 5 people, you can get Cricket for $25/mo per line AND there is an optional hotspot for an extra $10/mo.
I decided to try one of Mobile X new plans. I'm on the Unlimited Plan. So far it's pretty good. Can't wait to see what other new things they could come with in the future. The price is not bad
I ended up getting a line for my iPad from Lyca and it’s unlimited data call and text for 10 dollars for Black Friday great deal
I'm happy with the US Mobile plan so far. Almost 1 year with them and paid the annual rate so its 22.50 a month. I chose the Verizon network and even clocked 5G data speeds of over 1.2gb at certain locations in the city I live in. I'm kicking myself for wasting money with T-Mobile for years at $55 a month.
Awesome plan breakdown. Is the mint mobile plan obsolete ?
This channel is the GOAT for mobile data 🐐
What are you thoughts on Visible's offer of a free iphone 13 if you get visible+ for a year for black friday?
Worth it? Or is something hiding in the fine print.
I used your coverage map site for boost but I can't tell if I'm on the boost native or not. All I do know is I have full bars in my house
You also get disney plus no ads with total
I was very close to going with total, but their hotspot can only be used for one device.
I catch the visible with 20$ a month for 24 months! 🎉 We will see when it ends what i can pick i use unlock phones🎉
The Total 5G Unlimited link doesn't work and I can't find that deal anywhere.
I have visible basic paired with NordVpn and I stream 4k easily without any buffering whatsoever
What are your download and upload speeds without vpn and with vpn and have you experienced any issues in congested areas as that’s when the deprioritized comes into play
Cool video, thanks for the information
I have Cricket Core and Visible Base , AT&T & Verizon!
I have US Mobile and I don't always feel like it's the fastest. I'm on the Verizon network and Verizon is the fastest in my area but sometimes I open social media and its pixilated like I'm in the middle of nowhere. Straight talk was just as bad. 1:11
Big difference and bonus is US Mobile allows you to switch networks when you need to. As long as phone is capable.
I'm on the total wireless unlimited plan for 15 bucks a month guaranteed lock for 5 years, i don't know about streaming on other platforms but youtube I'm able to stream up to 4k.
Hi stetson! What do you think of tello'a unlimited plan?
don't do it!
@xaviy649 why is that?
You mention cricket, but isn’t AT&T prepaid for one year a better option?
Why not include Helium Mobile, 28GB of data then 1mbps throttle.
for $20/month
Visible base is 20 rn and pretty often
I just saw a video regarding Visible customer service. Sounded like a horror story. What can you tell us about the customer service of these companies. Also, why is Mint Mobile not in this video?
Why not Tello?
I thought the total price was gaurenteed for 5 years?
it is once you get the deal.. but the deal isn't forever..
Can you make similar videos for canada as well ??
I’d think twice before going with Total Wireless , their customer service sucks.
visible 1.0+ for 35/month (lifetime promo) vs. total wireless 25/month or 30/month unlimited hotspot and disney +?
I think Total Wireless is a better value, but a worse app and worse customer service.
With US mobile can you just switch where you get your data from whenever?
No. To switch networks, you need to do a network transfer. This takes anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple of hours. If you add a second line on a different network, then you can just toggle between the two networks on your phone with the tap of a button.
Y U skip Tello?
Really informative video. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Leaning towards Visible+ ($30/mo) or US Mobile ($32.50/mo). Any suggestions to sway me towards one of them?
Visible plus any day.with US MOBILE after 100gb of data usage it’s unusable
Roaming is at 2g or 3g speeds. This is the big catch with low cost providers.
From what I remember from having total it’s 720p streaming on LTE and 1080p on UW but I can be wrong.
How do you get the $25 a month total wireless...? when I sign up it comes up at $30, not $25.
Extra $5 off once you do autopay
