I think the 10 minute challenge is an awesome idea! It is all to easy to get bogged down in details and lose the essence of the moment. I always try to define the mood of a picture, then capture that first. For me personally, working fast is best. Starting with something small, like your delightful snail, is the way to go. It pretty soon becomes a habit!. Thankyou so much for another awesome video! 👍😁
Haha thanks Jeni - I'm surprised how much love the snail is getting. Totally agree with you, for me working fast is the most fun and gets the best results!
@@TobySketchLoose Oh that would be awesome. It’s different than the usual. That’s why I liked it. Yeah…I’d follow along for sure. I’ll be watching regardless.
Yes of course! I've filmed me and an alpaca which is coming up in a couple of weeks, but more than happy to do some other animals. Did you anything specific in mind?
@@TobySketchLoose great, I'm looking forward to see your alpaca. Any other animals will do, thanks for asking. What might be interesting is to see animals in relations to buildings/landscape. Or an animal tutorial like you did with humans.
@@PinkDreama Sorry, just back from holiday so only just saw this reply! An animal tutorial is certainly possible, and I'll have a think about your other ideas - thanks for the feedback, it's really useful :)
oh my gosh, I love this lil guy. Whish I'd have your ease & confident. I stumbled over your channel some minutes ago & just subscribed for watch'n' hopefully learn 😃 But please tell me Toby, won't the rough paper ruin the liner's tips on the long run?
Welcome aboard! Sorry i didn't see your comment earlier, youtube put it in my spam folder for some reason?!? Khadi paper is very soft, so I havent found it damaging my pens much actually! 'Rough' paper made in the more traditional style can do, but cold pressed normally seems ok.

I LOVE this SNAIL !! 🎉
I hope you have some other strange and exciting drawings as this one.
I’ll have to take a look.
Please do! Thanks for all the lovely comments, perhaps I should sketch another snail!

J'aime beaucoup les escargots et cette une très jolie démonstration ! MERCI à vous :-)
Merci beacoup!
I really like your style. Can you do more animals in a "urban sketch" style?
