Hi Nanny, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos! I’m a little bit new to them (about 3 or 4 months) I think. I feel like you are my new friend. I lost a beloved friend about 3 weeks ago and I feel that I need your videos to help me get over my loss. Of course her family really suffered loss, but we all feel it in different ways. Thanks for being there and doing your videos. Thanks also for having an upbeat attitude. It’s so good to watch and listen! Thanks again and God bless us all! 🩷

Hi from Annie you certainly get busy there and all that sewing. It is lovely that you do that for all the kids. The coyote is perhaps a bit like our dingos here they are always looking for food.As long as their bellies are full they are harmless. Some can be pets too. It is a wonder moosie never wakes up with all that noise and drama you have at times he must be a real solid sleeper. I am like you up n down all night. Those times you are without power can be really scary especially at nigh so it's good you had those lanterns handy. Those velvet PJ's look lovely on you too. Take care.

Oh Nanny... you make me think of our time in Arkansas... we lived right by a State Park... Our house sat up on a hill but every night about midnight the coyotes would run through the hollows. Yipping and yapping and howling .. I'm sure they were on the hunt of something to eat.. but they always made me smile.. the sheer joy and abandon in the those yips and yaps was just wonderful.. I was safe in my home and just consider it such a privilege to experience that..

Yes Nanny, needlework and sewing is a tactile experience. We need to touch and see the fabric, threads and ribbons. However when things are limited to online we are at the mercy of others. I have returned fabric to Amazon. Color and weight were totally different from how it was described. I wish the old days were back. There used to be some beautiful fabric stores in Orange County with decadent, gorgeous fabrics and trims.

I bought those lanterns for all the men in my family when you told us about them a couple of years ago. I didn't get myself any though. I will now. Thanks. You are so patient for your age. I am 76 and am not sure I would have all the patience you have. My husband died 4 years ago so I don't have to be a caregiver anymore. I was for a couple of years. It is hard. I live alone now. I have lots and lots of squirrels because I live in a pecan grove. I've had them in my attic. EEEkkk. I hate them. We also have coyotes and foxes and deer. I feel your pain. But remember I am alone. Your new phone is great. The picture is much clearer and sharper. Thank you for sharing your very lovely life with us. I look forward to each video. P.S. I've got to get out my sewing machine before Thanksgiving to make my daughter a curtain for an open cabinet. Hope I can remember how to do this.

Your lunch looks delicious. Oh, let me tell you about a day I had two weeks ago: our computer crashed, the internet went out, our answering machine did not work right for our business and my husband said his iphone was not working. This was all in one day!!!! I ended up getting a nice new computer, got online and fixed the internet, called the phone company for the business phone, and got the internal sim card activated for hubby’s cell phone at Verizon. (after waiting quite awhile on a wooden stool!)

Good morning Nanny. It is so hard to find the right fabrics any more. Fabric stores, quilt shops and needlework stores are gone. Everything is online. Your velvet is teal which has blue in it, however, it is very pretty. I am glad that you got the sewing machine figured out. The new phones will be nice. It is frustrating when our technology does not work. The Apple people are great. Very helpful. I have heard that you smother a fire. Put a lid on the pan. I love my lanterns. They come in handy when I need to see in a tight spot, for instance when I change the furnace filter. Or a bottom cupboard. Coyotes have become more prevalent everywhere. We are in their territory so I don’t blame them for wandering around. Our city has a newsletter and publishes articles about how to react if we are confronted by them. There are warning signs at the cemetery. One day when our family was there my granddaughter said “look at the dog”. I said that it is a coyote. We sat and watched it trot by. It knew where it was going and was not interested in us. In our neighborhood they are caught on camera jumping six foot fences. They do kill small dogs and cats. We are told to keep animals in the house. It is good for us to keep busy, that is what keeps us sharp and active. As you know I am a crafter. Twice a year I attend events. They are three days of learning and fun. After the classes the platform allows us to meet people from everywhere. We talk until the wee hours and then start over the next day. We can be involved virtually in so many things. It is a blessing for those of us who don’t get around anymore. For weeks I have been preparing and the event was last weekend. Now I have new contacts with the same interests as myself. I am still working on what I learned. I need to play catch up now on the necessities of life. As I have said before, pets and hobbies enrich our lives so much. Blessings to you both, love, Sharon

Hi Sharon…I was thinking a lot this week about the lack of Fabric Stores and Specialty TRIM AND craft places there are nowadays….in the past …sewing was so much more a hobby either women …and in many cases…a necessity.wherever we lived…there were so many choices of such stores. Buying fabric on line is not my cup of tea. Though…I need to feel it and see it…..I’m glad you are able to connect with like members of your craft, Sharon… I do plan to go back to Apple for some more of their instructional sessions with the new phone. Yes.. keep on learning…as long as my energy level holds up! Have a nice Thanksgiving, Sharon. Blessings to you, too.❤️

I have a couple and they are really handy in a closet where there is no lightbulb.

I sure miss seeing you, We went to Ill. to help my brother celebrate his 97th birthday with 6 of his 8 children. Our two daughters were there all of us from Fl. I had gotten a jar of Bio Gel, before we left, and was disappointed that it burned my eyes so badly. I am 81, and this looking fab is all new to me. I stopped using the Bio oil, and used Vit E oil. Then on the ride home, (2day trip) I got to thinking if I put the coconut oil on my eyes first, then the Bio oil, it might worked. It did!!!
I really enjoy your show, and am learning a lot as I watch and enjoy. bd 81

Goodness Nanny what a time you have had! So this is one reason why we admire you so. If Nanny can deal with all these issues, maybe I can too. But I’m telling you, all this technology that we deal with on a daily basis can get very tedious. Not just technology, trying to find the right fabric, sewing machine not working properly, invaders on the roof, power outages, a husband to care for, a home to take care of, meals to prepare, etc, etc. You’re the perfect example for this is how to get it done. Take care of yourself Nanny, you’re precious to a lot of people. God bless you and God bless us all. 🙏💕

When I saw the second fabric you pulled out I thought green, it looked of more quality. You’re still amazing with all you get done. Phew. You’re so comical. I mean that in a good way, you put a smile on my face 😊. Can’t wait to see the tool for extinguishing fires. I’m glad everything worked out with the electrical blackout. Raccoons are indestructible. I watch a documentary on them and they adapt to any situation. Fascinating, but quite annoying. Same with squirrels. Coyotes are a different story. I love the coyote on the roof story. Wild! I have racoon families that occasionally visit my deck at 2:00AM looking for any leftover stray cat food. I have a stray cat living on my deck and in my garage. I have also seen a white possum stop by. But never a coyote. There have been bears wandering through town, maybe once a year. Of
course the deer running through the neighborhood. No wonder Shamu is watching the roof. Good that you have a shelter for her. Nanny, I can't believe how much you can do with making these videos. Amazing that you can figure out all of the technical and editing aspects. I'm still thinking about the good old days of the phone on the wall, no message machine to answer. Simpler times. Good for you to be able to understand how to do all of the new phone technology. I think you look good on your new camera. I will mention that like Moose, I don't watch those shows like the Bachelor, etc. However, like you, I have become hooked on the Golden Bachelor for some reason. It's down to two. I think he should pick the one from Florida, but I think that he will probably pick the one from Minnesota. Who knows. Scary for me to think of. Finding a mate on a tv show. Anyway, we will find out. Have a great weekend. Thank you for the video. Take care.MJ♥️🐾🐺🐻☎️🐈‍⬛🦌🦝📱📞

Enjoyed hearing from you, MJ…yes. Things are so different these days..I began to realize that w5 years ago while still teaching…everything going digital…grading, testing, measuring the child’s performance, etc. I preferred the more personal and subjective assessments and still do.❤️

Thank you Nanny and Moose. Love the light my ten year old grandson gave me one, I live in Oklahoma and we are always having power outages. The squirrels are very bad to chew through the power lines.

You look so pretty in this video. Maybe it is the new phone? I know all too well the frustration of getting new phones. My hubby and I spent three hours at a Verizon store doing the transfers and getting some pretty good deals. We got the 14s though because they were really marking them down to get ready for the 15's coming out. I had to laugh at your comment about Moosie sleeping through everything. That is my hubby as well!!! I swear he would sleep through a hurricane if I did not wake him up. I want you to know that I recommend your channel all the time. I think it is wonderful that you do RUclips videos and take us through living over 60 etc. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Always great to see you Nanny! I love your new Pj's. I can't wait to see your Christmas stockings when to are finished. The two materials you showed are beautiful. One was a beautiful teal. I don't have the talent for crafts but I love to do interior design. Remember to take time for yourself with a little pampering!! See you next time Hugs and ❤

Ñanny lovely full informative video. Your sewing machine bobbin .,Always run the tiny brush (from the machine tool kit) .the build up of lint , does makes the bobbin pop out & can also loop your stitching .ESPECIALLY afrer stitching velvet !😅 Place the bobbin back in ,the 2 prong bits go to back .(The bobbin only has one way to fit in) .NOW gently SLOWLY hand crank/ turn the Machine wheel ,watch the needle ,you will see if its going to hit any metal. If it' looks like the needle WILL hit something and its not right give it a tiny jiggle the bobbin will almost shunt itself into correct position All you need to think about is 2 pointy prongs pointing out towards the back back ,but MORE important the SLIT in bobbin, where you always thread your cotton , is directly nearest to you .Remember gently hand turn the wheel ,the bobbin will almost jiggle itself into position. As you know ,from all your beautiful velvet stockings, just looking at it, velvet sheds its lint .
Im off to buy a firbkanjet for my kitchen ,thankyou Happy days love and resoect from U.K

The VONT was clear on our side - I think you saw it backwards on your end. So phone is good. When electricity goes out here in Indiana - iit usually is for days, not minutes or hours. This spring mine went out for 2 days - and next neighborhood didn't get it for 3 more days. And the way things are happening these days - everyone should be prepared for emergencies - a go-bag ready in case you have to leave your home - I know I have noticed earthquakes in California getting stronger and more frequent lately - be prepared.

I'm so happy for you Nanny. You seem to be having fun and actually have so many things to do. I go to thrift stores and look for dresses, blouses or shams that are made of velvet materials. I had found a beautiful brown velvet dress that was displayed before I got to the register, someone else had purchased it. 😢❤

That's quite a shopping trip. I also have those emergency lights sprinkled thru the house. Here in Northern California, they come in handy as our electric grid can be spotty at times. Love your new pj's. They look so cozy. We have coyotes here today. Blessings ❤

You have such stamina! One or two stops is about all I can do! Hint: many crafters often find eBay is a good source for fabric and even finding a garment with the desired fabric that they tear apart just for the fabric. As you know, it’s more work however. I wonder if you can store your footage in the cloud so you can keep your storage lower on your phone/video software. Or save to your computer and delete from phone….just guessing. Love your videos and look forward to your fun updates! ❤ Hi Moosie!

I bought those lanterns after you suggested them last time. Last week we had a power cut because of the storm, so I got to use it! So handy, much better than phone torch or candles! A great idea, I got my mom one too. x
