Got mine a month or so ago. Super cool and couldn't be happier with it as the tech geek I am
I was stoked at the intro, but my jaw dropped when I saw it's twice as expensive as my phone 😭
It is like 280 bucks, how cheap is your phone?
Your phone must suck
$230 bucks, yeah I imagine it’s nice.
It looks overpriced but when you compare to the other options (there aren't many) this looks good. I know many people will immediately compare it to another one they found in thier local store which was 20$. This has more than 20 times the storage of that one while it's also small. It's only for laptop users from what I imagine.
it better shoot heroin into my heart directly while charging my devices for lite console money like that.
@@shlokshah5379 ? What do you mean this is perfect for camping and can save your life, you can charge electrical lighters, flashlights, Smartphones and I can't even think the amount of things that can be very useful with this battery.
@@psycho_ch7281 my wife and I do multi week bike tours, this is not necessary. A 4 bay 18650 charger with 2 outputs and 12 (total) 18650s will get you just as far for much less money.
@@shlokshah5379 get something that you can use your own 18650 cells. Nitecore has a 4bay for about $20. I get it though. My point was, at that price it better be good.
that's a versatile little bank. might have to check it out.
Got mine today. This thing is super awesome.
How much did you pay? Any sales
I’d be down to watch more power bank reviews.
Sweet numbers and stuff
Just got one for $184 on the random prime day sale for my steam deck mostly and i imagine i none of my devices will starve for power any time soon
Is there a good powerbank that charges a gaming laptop with the usual three prong power cord? Or do gaming laptops require too much wattage for a power bank?
SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR GEEK! Looks sweet! But I would go for a frosted durable plastic like many transparent gaming devices, like the RG353 or something. Too damn expensive though, it's a showpiece.
Can you show me how to program one of the USB-C jacks for 5V 3A output? Thanks!
I got mines today... i love it!!!! My other power banks are Blah!!!!!!!!
Damn, your voice is so relaxing 😀
Wish I could buy one, but thanks for sharing.
If you want one that's similar but cheaper I recommend you check out the Anker 737 Power Bank on a black friday deal.
I liked your review. Just at the beginning you mention it has "4 batteries inside", actually they are 8... I wish if you had tested also the DC in/out functionality in detail...
Can you take it as a carry on? Any problems with TSA?
Thanks for this review. Does the mentioned "timer option" allow to disable automatic shutdown (enable always on mode)? Would be interesting to know, if this thing could continously supply low-power DIY-projects.
The timer is literally like an odometer. it doesnt allow you to set it for 10 minutes to turn off. its ALWAYS running. if you plug a phone in, and leave it, it will hit 100% and continue to drain the charger.
I bought my second hand for 50$ have been cycling 9 times 👍🏻
So are they available in the UK?
So not available in the UK then?
can it supply a constant 19V , 1.5A to my AN517 , 17inch Nitro 5 . 2020 model for at least 1 hour
Looking for something smaller for my steam deck and oculus can anyone help me decide between Anker 737 and Storm 2 slim??? I’m trying to find the charge cycles to help me decide because I heard the 737’s is bad
Do shargeek sell to the UK?
I mistakenly read that title as *Naruto Storm 2* and thought Skyline started supporting it 😂
It must be good, they sold out over on Amazon.
I liked their charge Shargeek 140W PD3.1 GaN Charger
I would like to see a version of this product with a greater Watt Hour capacity (Around 175 Wh), and the 12 Volt DC output must be able to handle a higher Amperage current rating from it's existing 5 Amps max output up to at least 12 Amps. Why ? Simple. Once you step up to the more utilitarian DC Voltages, such as 12, 18, and 24 Volts DC, the devices which consume these higher voltages also often draw considerably higher amounts of current - Usually between 10 to 15 Amps @ 12 Volts DC, and up to 8 Amps @ 24 Volts DC. Also, it would be nice to see a built in MPPT Solar Charge controller to be able to connect a 100 Watt solar panel, and a micro pure sine wave AC 115 Volt 200 watt inverter and socket added. I don't know how much more size this would add to this device, but the possibility of having such a powerful device in such a simple hand held footprint would be of considerable utility. The excellent Goal Zero Sherpa 100 AC portable power bank comes pretty darn close with its 4th Generation version of the product, but it also has a larger, rectangular footprint, which makes it slightly less of a hand friendly device to pack or carry around. I think there is a big trade off between increased capacity and the footprint and time it will take to recharge the device from near 0 % - Especially if you are recharging from a small, portable solar panel. I noticed the nifty fold out solar panel kit you can add onto the Storm 2 Power Bank. I really think this is a strong concept, but poorly executed by the manufacturer. I would like to see at least a 20 Watt set of less than 12 fold out Monocrystalline panels, and an added option for 12 to 18 Volt DC charge output plug to go into the 12 Volt DC input of the device @ 5 Amps of current intensity. This is a very strong and good power bank, but it could be a great power bank with these added features. *Most importantly, I would like to see the option to parallel connect two Storm 2 Power Banks for twice the capacity !*
Could this charge a gaming laptop?
Flycast 2.0 just released with Naomi 2 support and more on Git
This is more interesting.
I think he reported on it earlier today.
@@KyleRuggles yea, I just realized lol
good review but i think I'll just use an outlet.
I just bought one and for the love of God can you please tell me how to turn it off or dose it shut off on its own
The charger will time out on its own (unless something is plugged into it). If you go into the "long press" menu, there is an option to shut down the device manually, or simply turn the display off.
Bro can you show us your gaming setup please 🙂🙂
And also your recommended emulators for PC
And which console you like most
To anyone who is planning to order, just don't get it from the official website. They've been in lockdown for weeks now. My Storm2 order last month still didn't arrive.
Best to just get it from Amazon or other stores with stock, outside China.
nice
On a different note...could someone help me run nfs 2 hp SMOOTHLY(60fps) on dolphin emulator on my SD 865 device please???
3:30 usb A*
Got it for 184 off Amazon flash sale worth it
I'm torn between this and the Anker 737
Same. What did you end up getting?
Anker 737. will not negotiate 12v 3a charging a dji mini 3 drone is out of the question, but it negotiates first to 9v 2a then it drops to a weird 6v 3a for some reason. trash
what u do with the dc port
do not stick a paper clip in it
Locate the required voltage for a device of your choosing that needs charging. Acquire the appropriate DC adapters. Program the prior mentioned voltage into the Storm 2. Turn DC Output "ON". Plug in your device and it will begin charging.
I ordered mine today, April 14, 2023, and I also got the solar panel... I used code CART15 and I got both of those for $236 before tax... If that helps anyone else... I thought it was a good deal...
how was it the solar panel? do you recomend it?
I hate yellow but I’m getting one anyway
I don't understand why some people would want a wireless charging when it can only go up to 10 watt or 15 watt max. My phone requires 20 watt to charge...so unless they can make a wireless qi that can do 20 watt wireless then it would be ideal. Other than that I stay away from all wireless qi charge less than 15 watt outout.output. for that kind of money, seems like they miss a few important features such a rubber feet and a scratch proof clear case t
Drop test? From oh... ~8 feet? Also, water test! and I'm also curious how it reacts to a completely accidental, but satisfyingly hard baseball hit.
Looks nice but it overheats and it not efficient enough storing and transferring the energy it captures from the mainframe (the plug). Also, power banks do not work in a vacuum and charging speeds depend on the devices connected (mobile brand, etc) and the usb type cables used to charge those devices. Again great design but poor execution and expensive.
The Anker 737 power bank is better and cheaper. Although, it doesn't look as cool.
Anker has always been my go too for power banks.
It's not better, though. Only 1 USB C port at 60w, and it presumably also charges at only 60w, and 2 USB A ports at 18w combined. That vs 1 USB C at 100w, another at 30w, and a USB A at 18w on the Shargeek. It also has a DC in/out which didn't get mentioned at all and can be used to charge the power bank or power non-usb devices. Oh, and the Shargeek charges at 100w through USB C. Ignoring the looks, the only advantage the Anker has is that it includes a 60w USB C charger, but if you need a 60W USB C port, you likely have a 60w USB C charger lying around anyways.
@@MrFastFox666 I don't know where you got your info from. It's clearly stated on their port charge info and product page that max single port is 140w charging. Three ports is 61 per USB-C and 18w USB-A. Only thing about Anker which is less than Shargeek Storm is that it has 1600mah less.
@@leviathon1113 lmao yeah maybe I made a typo or something, I was looking at the wrong one.
Ask yourself, which one would you rather for a zombie apocalypse? That's the better one. Shargeek.
It's nice, but is it worth the investment for the long run....not really! I like the concept design, but there is just too many red flag about the longevity and durability of it all. The clear case itself flex, and has no protection against scratch, ding, and accidental drop. People in general are clumsy so yeah durability takes second priority.
the last feature it should have is charge itself
nah im kidding
Put some rubber feet on it. All your dislikes made no sense to me.
Can you truley review something honestly that you get for free?
100% yes. I am always upfront with companies that I only provide fair and honest reviews. I have a bunch of reviews on this channel where I don't recommend products sent in.
no because u cant trust that these companies wont purposely send special review units that arent the same as what they send to normal end users
But, can it play DOOM?? ;-)
Ordered mine but still waiting for it to turn up - am going to be avoiding buying things from China - as it simply takes months to arrive…. It’s 2022 not 1991…
Let me sit down and strap myself in. Now, of what possible consequence can it be to observe the voltage whilst this is charging something? Whose idea of fun is to watch electronic devices being recharged? What you call useful information, I call a shiny distraction [like one of those mobiles hang above babies cribs]. It's a big, fat, battery - like all the others. Looks more interesting than the shiny box alternatives, but it's not different to them. And there's the rub, it's not smaller or lighter than other p/banks of similar capacity. Given the oft presented bonus, of being able to charge multiple things at once, is just fluff- who actually finds on a regular basis that they need to recharge four items at exactly the same time? I don't believe anyone who answers yes to that question. What's left is how is it actually better than it's shiny box cousins?
(To me) It is super useful because it has a DC in/output which is very helpful for someone who has solar panels with dc outputs. And yes there are DC input/output battery banks but not many with high power usb type c for newer laptops, and there are power banks with high power usb c ports but not dc inputs
So that's my use case, is it niche? Oh hell yes, but it does have a use that does set it apart from the competition
I love being able to run my Laptop for race data and also charge my LiPo battery while I am in he Pits at the go-kart Track, simultaneously. This uses 2 usb-c connections and will honestly last me an entire night of laptop and phone and LiPo cycles. Voltages are excellent to know for testing purposes, and to monitor that my LiPo set up is not going to burst into flames from low voltage. The DC port has a HUGE number of flexible options seeing as its purely a +/- output, meaning i can use it to charge any and all devices I need to, or simply run some LED Lights in the Tent. With just a few simple adapters I have a wide range of usability. It is both stylish and practical.
Your critical review of this product leads me to wonder why you have such a hard time coexisting with this product. If you don't want one, then don't buy one.
My only personal gripes I have with the device, is that it does not output the same wattage from both usb-c ports, it DOES NOT actually do pass through charging, and it will not stop charging a device when it is at 100%.
@@kyrougue Clearly I lead a simple life. I actually have no gripe with this product itself, I'm just rather nonplussed by the adulation it has caused. My little Zendure is a kept in the shadows backup.
Everyone I know who has a powerbank, including several of those multi sectioned solar numbers, pays scant attention to them in use. When recharging the one item I find [on the go] needs recharging, my attention is only to observe: red light on, wait for it, green light on, go for it. I then move on with my life.
Some of the reviews I've seen treat this PB's readouts as special features, yet never seem to explain why. I snapped - sorry
User manual is a joke and that display is only for 20/20 eyes

Dont buy from this company. My screen crapped out after a month of light use, so now i have no idea what capacity i have left, and parasitic drain was high. I have attempted to contact shark geek multiple times. They replied initially with instructions to perform a reset, which i did, and screen still buggered. Since that reply and my response advising reset did not fix, many follow ups by me have gone unanswered. I have not been able to instigate any warranty return / exchange / refund, as they simply will not answer.
Considering priced as a very premium product in the space - the fact that a) mine broke so early and b) if you do have problem, you have ZERO warranty as they just will not answer if you have problem - do not buy. Their support department is obviously non existent, it is all about sales, sales, sales of what is likely cheap electronics behind flashy marketing and pricing to make you believe it is a PREMIUM product.
Will now have to try get consumer affairs onto the case, as well as letting everyone know on as many platforms as i can what they are really like as a company.
230 bucks for a fancy battery charger, that's an automatic PASS.
Did you watch it? It's like an outlet for camping. I get it you don't need it, but "automatic pass"?
Yeah, I got one that can jump my car and be used as a power bank. It's 20,000 mah and I got it for $80.
160s at drop. If you want but I don’t trust it. He has it free so only good is said. I read bad that it burns out because no power protection. (Amazon review)
