      Karajan gets immersed in the music but still remains more or less controlled. You can see he's into it, but he's "dignified" about it.

      by the 1960s cinematic cameras were capable of capturing decent footage, as long as you had the money to pay for it. Panavision 70 was capturing full colour with even higher resolution in the same era.

    Since my early youth, this is one of my favourites. What is better than Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker. I met Karajan at his house in the Salzburg area and frequently at my work at Basel, Switzerland. Nevertheless, I could tell the reader some episodes as well.

Peccato che all'autore non sia stato dato allora il successo che meritava, ma il tempo (ed il pubblico) è galantuomo per cui la Sinfonia continua a descrivere ed interpretare l'anima piu vera degli Stati Uniti.     The composition was not written as a celebration of the kingdom, but as a reaction to the turbulent world and mainly as a longing for home (Czechoslovakia). The composer Dvořák was not paid for the composition (he received a bad check):-(

    2:13 to 2:48 is some of the most beautiful music ever composed IMHO. As Beethoven said, ''music should strike fire from the heart of a man, and bring tears to the eyes of a woman''. I think this accomplishes that beautifully.

    Since weeks I am listening to this symphony and each time I have tears in my eyes at the end.
    In Karajans version I feel its faster but more rigidly conducted than the the one I am used too. Also very pleasurable!

    @Ayala I think it's a transfer problem. This was most probably a magnetic tape recording, and when the speed of the tape is played too fast during transfer, the pitch gets higher. The reverse also applies when the tape is played too slow, the pitch becomes lower.

      @Rachman Noor -- So you agree that the pitch is higher than Dvorak is played because the transfer to a new recording or to you tube was sped up which raises the pitch. I make this video to be at about 162 beats per second, about 15 percent faster than the normal approx 142 bps that the great orchestras actually perform it at. So the faster sound and frenetic motion of the players upsets my pathetic ears and eyes-- still great music though, even when played too fast,

      I think that was one of the best performances I’ve seen like I’m still in shock and SEONGHWAAA when the line opened up for him with them holding out the guns like damn ateez never disappoint but now I’m so curious for next weeks stage I hope they switched with ikon I truly want to see them cover bling bling or something

      @@elbasado8292 Hi there 😊 Not sure what you mean by "ruin". Personally I'm glad classical music is used (and re-used) in more modern areas of music and performances, since it gives a new generation the opportunity to listen to it and maybe become interested in hearing more.
