Thank you for including us on RUclips and instagram in your guild’s monthly challenges. This is a great idea and I look forward to learning and practicing new techniques and skills.
What a great idea!!!! Seriously, thanks for sharing your guild projects with this community. I am definitely participating in this and think I will loop my daughter in too since she is a new sewer/quilter but has fully embraced quilting.
🎉 Congratulations and thanks for sharing. I accept the challenge. I need more placemats so I will do some with flying geese all over. ❤ Greetings from Germany
Thanks for sharing your quilt guild projects with us :) I like the Dutchman's Puzzle quilt block using flying geese. I have a large table topper I made using 9 Dutchman's puzzle blocks using florals from my fat quarter stash and I'm big stitch quilting it but have fallen behind. Hopefully I can work on that this month as part of this challenge.
Lovely idea, Jessica! Thanks for thinking of it. Funny, but just today I saw a quilt picture of Wind Spinner by Kim Diehl - her pattern in Whatnots III…lots of different sized geese! Very compelling!
I’m so excited I found your channel! I’ve been wanting to quilt and I keep just searching around to find someone with easy and beginner friendly tutorial! So excited to try one of them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love for quilting with all of us. ❤ Cynthia
I'm so glad to hear this! It might seem overwhelming at first but just pick a project and work on it. You learn as you go and it is fun once you get started!
Congratulations on becoming the President of your guild! That is quite an honor for sure. I just may practice a few flying geese this month too. Thanks for the suggestion/challenge. But I may not be up to stacking them on my mat and slicing off the excess in one fell swoop like you do 😂. Wow! Cheers from NC
This is a wonderful idea Jessica. I’m all in! I have a project that I started put aside it has 1 1/2”x2” flying geese. I’m so excited to be a part of this.😄💗
I love Running Doe Quilts Lazy Goose (postcard) pattern. It’s the only quilt I’ve made twice. It’s a great showcase for fabrics that you may not want to cut up small and it’s a nice size (and quick) quilt. Love this idea of challenges!!
I’ve not made many flying geese so this is a great challenge for me. I will make this my birthday month (September) challenge since I often try to do a challenge for my birthday month. Love ya sis and all the beautiful work you do!
Thanks Jessica. I think this is a great idea and I definitely need a boost to get my sewing mojo back. Not sure. Not sure what i'm going to do as yet but I have an idea. Take care
Congratulations on becoming you Guild's President! Great Idea, fly geese has always been of a challenge as quite often they come out a bit wonky. So I try to avoid them but I am going for this challenge and make a sawtooth block as well!
A Quilting Life blog has a free quilt block a month that uses tiny and medium sized flying geese. The setting will be in December. Each block usually has both sizes of flying geese in it.
First time watching your RUclips channel but definitely won't be my last. I do NOT like making flying geese so perhaps this challenge will help me hate them a little less LOL. Congrats on being selected President of you guild. I am the VP of our guild here in Northern Michigan and it's my responsibility to have presentations at most of our meetings ... which can be challenging in itself sometimes. Have a great week/weekend ... off to tame some geese!!
I like the idea of a monthly themed challenge, it definitely helps me staying focused and motivated 😊 I also have an ongoing project where I need to make 364 (it's a long term project^^) scrappy 1 1/2×2 1/2 flying geese. No time like the present, right? 😅 So I guess I accept your challenge and try to make as much tiny geese as possible in September and I'll post the results on IG :) Greetings from Germany!
I just started a scrappy FG quilt with my blues and greens scraps. I accept your challenge! Fun!!
Congratulations on your acceptance of the President position for your local quilt guild. They are lucky to have you.
Thank you!

You are so welcome! I'm so glad to hear it!
I would love to join. Congratulations on becoming the guild president. You really deserve this responsibility
You are going to be a great President. Guilds need a person who can bring challenges to them. Good luck.
Thank you!!
Sounds like a great challenge Jessica. I am going to try doing it for the month of September. Thank you!
That's wonderful!
I Love this monthly challenge!! Fun times coming this year! Thank you Jessica😃
You are so welcome!

I'm in! I am self taught, a LOT of reading Quilt Magazines and Books so I'm always looking to learn something new or sharpen my skills!
Wonderful! So glad to hear it!

Love your tutorials
Thanks so much!
I like the flexible nature of this challenge. You are a quilting efficiency expert.
This sounds fun! 😊
Love this challenge. It makes me feel like I’m apart of a guild. Would love it if you find something fun to turn the geese into!
You can look for a pattern for if you'd like! That was you'll know what size to make and have a plan to use the ones that you make.
How fun! 😊❤😊

Great idea! Thanks for including us in the challenge. I am learning a lot from your channel.
SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!! I will enjoy this, I do not have a guild near me and have always wanted to be a part of one!!!
I'm so happy to hear that! I hope you enjoy!
Thanks Jessica. I think this is a great idea and I definitely need a boost to get my sewing mojo back. Not sure. Not sure what i'm going to do as yet but I have an idea. Take care
I'm glad you hear you think it will be helpful for you!
Brilliant idea!
May Chappell's Cane Creek Quilt patter is a fabulous one for FG.
I just looked and that's a beautiful one! Thanks for the suggestion!!

Eleanor Burns book 'Wild Goose Chase Quilts.' Stars and lots of geese.
Thank you!

Thank you!
Fat Quarter shop has a free pattern called Swan Dive Quilt. It has HST but I wanted to make this with flying geese instead.

That's fantastic! Thanks for joining me!
❤❤❤
Doing a silly goose now. Might not count because it uses HST squares instead of the traditional block.
Thank you very much Jessica. This challenge sounds like fun.
You are welcome! I hope it is!
