Great informative video as usual mate thanks for taking the time to help us all and the willingness to reply and follow up questions with an actual answer. Truly are a legend thanks mate
Mate you are off chops, one of the most versatile fishermen on RUclips, fucking fish whisperer! mad respect to you on the time and effort to study fish, techniques and hone tactics on so many quality sport species in Australia. You’re Good mate, honestly. 10% of fishermen catch 90% of fish, you’re definitely in the top 5%. You should seriously consider Guiding on Barra and Cod!!
Thanks heaps legend! You just made my day! Much appreciated, I try to pass on information to help people catch fish! There just isn’t enough info out there to help people learn new species.
@@DeanSilvester mate you’re doing a hell of a good job, better than most. But man! you can seriously tell you’ve put some mileage on the water, fucking mad respect. Not to mention you’re gifted and patient, you don’t get as good as you without patience, and long hard days and nights on the water. You’d have some stories to tell I bet. Fucking legend Dean!
I started RUclips to try to help people but it’s also cool to have the cameras running most of the time because now I get to capture a lot of crazy stuff that you would normally only be able to tell stories about! Thanks again legend
Unreal sounding tips which I have yet seen anyone else do. Thanks for sharing Dean. Sweet outfit too, any chance of a video on you doing you rig set-up ie how you do windon, type double knot, hook knot etc
Thanks mate, yep I am pretty sure I have already filmed what you need. Will get it up in the next week or so! Had a crazy solo session when I was filming these videos went 7-5-3 in 3 hours by myself haha so hectic
@@DeanSilvester Looks like you've sussed it out and there appears to be good numbers about. South Qld seems to have a good inshore run which appear easier to access. Recently the NSW south coast has had good runs of stripes but probably a bit more patchy with lots of unproductive ground in-between. Thanks for the motivating clips.
Very handy tips for using the simrad to target fish down deeper. Cool to see the nuances of sounder set-up to get better clarity of your image returns. What size sinker do you recommend using in around 2-3knots of current? Do you attach it with a specific type of rubber band or breakaway connection? Cheers Dean great Video and appreciate the helpful advice and tips you give out to help other anglers.
Thanks heaps mate, will do video on sinker set up! Current doesn’t matter it’s more of wind and current not aligning. I like to run an 8 or smaller but at times run a 12 so I can bomb to them quickly if I see them deeper. 12 does about 2m/sec and 8 is just over 1.2m/sec
Hahaha it’s seriously not mate, hardest part is getting out there and then second hardest part is catching the bait haha! Especially if there are marlin around. Will have a video up later with the tackle and rig etc that will help

Glad to help 🤙🏻🤙🏻
