  • This one is going to upset some of you...but only if you choose not listen to what I'm actually saying!
I'm not saying these are bad fragrances...regardless of my very particular reasoning for avoiding these 5 fragrances, here is what is most important:
If you have already smelled these fragrances and you love them, keep loving them. Pay me no mind.
But if you remotely care about my opinion on fragrances, I only suggest that you consider what I'm saying about each of these fragrances before you decide to BLIND purchase them. If you are genuinely interested in any of them, PLEASE sample them first. No matter what any reviewer is saying about any of them, try to avoid blind buying a bottle if you can.
Should you still have interest in checking out the fragrances I've outlined, I'll have links below if I can find them.

Of course, the scent is lively, positive, shining, simple, high-quality, inviting, attractive and very long-lasting with a beautiful cloud of scent. Bro I own fragrances for an irresponsibly amout of money, it's one of my hobbies and getting compliments is a nice side effect but it's not a priority. Over the years I especially appreciate the scents that brighten my mood and make me even more confident and so Vibrato is one of the best choices in my collection. Hey Justin, I'm so glad you kept it real with Vibrato man. I've done a very similar review comparing Tygar,Arrakis, Turathi Blue to Vibrato and its the same fragrance. I've recommended Turathi Blue because it smells better to me than Arrakis and lasts a bit longer, and if price is not a biggie, I recommended Tygar, because it's the OG and it can be found easily below the Sospiro asking price.
I would recommend checking out Basso from Sospiro because it's essentially Oligarch, but with better performance and actually available to buy. Great video, love this series!

I like Dior Homme Sport and I, personally, think it's totally different from Dior Homme 2020. I wear both. However, now that I think about it, there isn't a Dior Home Sport aftershave that I've been able to find, so I do use the Dior Homme aftershave when I wear Sport because they are similar enough that it pretty much works. Great work, bro. It's like how I think CK eternity is just a copycat of Davidoff Cool Water, but no one else seems to think they smell similar.

Its really interesting as someone who recently joined the fragrance community from the watch community the different use of words for fragrances that are similar to others. In the watch community the word "homage" is used for watches that are securely in the grey area between a total knockoff and something that takes some elements of inspiration but for the most part is original. Lots of arguing over the criteria there too.

I loved the video, Justin. I have Bvlgari Tygar and I almost buy Vibrato. Now, keep in mind that Tygar costs more than Vibrato. Tygar goes for $349 vs Vibrato's $325. I did sample Arrakis and quite frankly, I didn't like it. Not even if I pay $20 bucks. Hehe.

I’ve been wearing vibrato and like most of my colognes my girlfriend has had a few spins with it (gave her my addiction to niche) and when doing so not only up close on myself which is lovely, even in the air with whiffs as she passes by it is delectable ‼️ maybe my nose is trained to smell notes and know what they mean but I don’t ever put that much thought when smelling perfume on others. I get the same powdery, grapefruit and flow in the air as I do up close which is why of my 5 scent signature rotation for everything in life aside which are stars of my 20+ cologne collection and putting my nose on 100’s of scents over time this one is top 3 .

I only have a sample right now (because of the price, like you said) but goodness that is some special smelling stuff. Sweet but with some things going on that I just can’t get enough of. I’ll save(and hope the price drops) and splurge on this one. I’m a patchouli guy but this knocked me off my patchouli obsession if only for a little while.

Agree with them all except Vibrato. I find it quite different to Tygar in its own way whether up close or in the air. and unlike most, I respectfully disagree that they are overhyped. The only fault of fragrances like afternoon swim, vibrato and tygar is that in the eyes of the fragrance aficionado, they are too simple. But sometimes there’s beauty in simplicity so long as no compromise is being made in the quality of ingredients used and the overall craftsmanship.

I tried Vibrato & the ginger opening really reminds me of L'home by YSL which I got for like 50. bucks. To be fair, the first day a wore the sample of Vibrato to work I got a compliment & it does have some green notes that separate it from L'home or Tygar, I think but $350? Ouch!

For what its worth i originally agreed with the Vibrato assesment but as I worked my way through the decant, it grew on me. Especially considering i had a side by side decant of Tygar; I just found that Sospiro lasted longer and was an overall better scent.
The bail in the coffin is that its not uncommon to get Sospiro at discounter these days anywhere from 175 to 220. At that prices its just a much betyer buy than Tygar.

$325 for Vibrato? $220 here in Serbia which is a good deal. Arrakis Spirit of Kings is also great alternative. Arrakis is not bursting of citruses and with more amber/woody notes it makes it the most likeable among the rest. I'm very picky in the summer cuz I can't stand strong citruses or blue fragrances.

I had to delete my earlier comment, but here’s my updated take.
Sospiro Vibrato isn’t groundbreaking, though it is a good fresh fragrance. Is it worth the $325 price tag? Absolutely not. It's a dumb rich ‘luxury fresh scent’ or for those willing to splurge. Essentially, it’s Afternoon Swim but with better projection, and just better in general. What I do love is the scent bubble it creates around you, especially in warm weather where its projection really shines!

Your recent video announcing that this clone was available again on a special platform could be easily misread as advertising - which I found frankly not in your style and regrettable. I think your independent voice is way to important in this fast-paced, rather crazy and fundamentally changing business to be jeopardized. The clarifications concerning "niche" versus "luxury" and questioning prizes versus value and quality and unique profile (often you get more of the same but screamingly loud with synthetics and more expensive; now even the brands clone themselves...😕 sorry that I sound like grumpy old grandpa, but it is getting kind of crazy...) is extremly valuable...so please stay on course...👍

When thinking about compliments I always wonder how many people actually dislike a perfume but obviously would never say it... for every person that likes/loves a scent there might be two who dislike it.. 😅 so in that sense even compliments do not tell the whole story.. But we don´t care about the potential dislikers do we 🤣, I know I don´t!

Man I normally agree with all of his choices but issy noir hombre is incredible.....it's warm, amber, woody and dry....I wore it to a Christmas party and I had 4 different women come up and sniff me and say how good I smelled and they were trying to pick out who it was in the group that smelled so damn good. It's a very cozy and comforting scent and worth every penny if you can't get it for it's original price.

I’ve always thought Vibrato is super overrated. It’s only worth it at $160 or below, and even then, you can get better fragrances for the same price.

I will always pick the Vibrato over Tigar anytime for the day . Price wise, Vibrato is well- positioned & has more complex structure . The very reasons why is decided to get Vibrato and not Tigar is the price( $325 vs $400) & Tigar performance/longevity is mediocre to my skin.

@@stayfreshproductions So I have smelled sample of Bvlgari Tygar. I quite liked it. Not the most complicated scent profile, but it just seemed a well done scent, plus gave me those endorphin tingle with smelling. My question is if I like that should I go for any of the scents talked about? Ie Bvlgari Tygar, Vibrato, or Arrakis? The first two seem to only be 20- 40 bucks difference in price. In that case is the bvlgari more the worth it buy over the Vibrato for the similar price point? Thanks btw

I had heard, though never smelled, similar things about Sospiro's 'Basso;' essentially that it was a "high quality" clone of TdH. I picked up 100ml of TdH pafum for $85, so I don't think I'll be sampling Basso any time soon. 😂Being a sister brand to Xerjoff, I wonder how many of their scents are just "niche" takes on massively successful designer fragrances.(?) It certainly doesn't endear me to the house. Wonderful insights, as always. 👊

from this video I'm guessing you like complexity and non-freshness? I like it when they make a fragrance more fresh, citrusy or more summery or salty aquatic. it's practically summer 9-10 months a year where I live. so your they made it better is my they made it worse and vice versa
