I want to buy a speaker for building site. Started with ch5. Really good choice in my opinion but wanted something with bit more boom. So ordered mifa and how disappointed I was after testing ( straight to 2.10 firmware). Probably of lack of eq with mifa and +2 bass on ch5. Then day later ordered Xtreme 3 ( Also +2 bass) and after around 30min of testing packed up ch5 and mifa for return. Then on the end of the day I'm discovered eq on Spotify ( My main and mostly only source of music) after years of listening 😂. So take mifa out of the box again, turn eq off on x3 in the jbl app and after around half an hour quiet listening can't really choose between them 2. I'm think x3 it's bit more meaty and bit lower with bass but not so sure if that's worth another 160£. Was late Sunday night so can't turn up the vol for proper test. Will edit that comment after that. But considering price ( today at Amazon 88£ for Mifa and 248£ for x3) I'm might pack up x3 and buy another mifa and still have 80 quid for 4 bottles of whisky 😂

i am impressed i was waiting for this since some day's ago i heard the mifa was better then the boom from ppl and those not as accurate reviewers. Well not exacly its more like a draw as you say, mifa more deep and louder but a bit more uncontroled at higher vol., other reviewer said it was cleaner though, but doesn t matter since its outputing more anyways. But what i thought was that the mifa was way thinner and worse sounding than the boom also due to the fact that its kinda inspired or made to compete against the boom. In conclusion both is good but different as u showed, i believe, and i hope more just to see more speakers like this impressive sounding but on a budget and not some generic boombox with only upper bass and horrid treble extencion. @@alanrossreviews Thank you for the response, I actually just got back from Best Buy, I ended up buying the Sony XG300 as it went on a 100$ off sale, making it 250$US, and it met all my needs. No handle, aux input, and ip67.
Great comparison video. Never seen you try to match the EQs before. If I didn't have the Boom already I probably would be using the Wildbox - its close enough to the Boom and has an aux which would make things so much more convenient for myself. Just glad we are getting more affordable options on a whole.

I was just checking out prices for the Mifa and I think the Boom retains its title based on value for money. From the options I see, almost 2 Booms could be purchased for the price of 1 Wildbox.
yeah this seems to vary a lot, for me it was closer when i checked but if there is more than a marginal difference in price then the cheaper one takes it.

Wildbox looks like it would be the better buy if they cost similar. But it's not available through Amazon Australia or an official eBay Australia store and is getting towards twice the price of the Motion Boom at its deepest discount. AliExpress just can't match the discounts of country specific online stores. Maybe it's something to do with selling in USD and having an exchange rate that often drops off a cliff.
Well I was looking for the wildbox I can only get it off Ebay for 120$ and all the way to 220$ and that's if I would actually get it. I like the wildbox I would say more but the thinner sound is ok but the amount of distortion the Boom produces is a lot its not unbearable but its definitely there but it is a draw in a way also I hope you enjoyed my 46+ minutes of watch time from me😁
yup! i appreciated your company! drinking alone aint cool 😁😁 also appreciated you being open about yourself! we all have our issues, believe me i have more than most 😎😎
not realyl for the new firmware, just to get closer to the tuning of the wildbox. a bit too much bass for me but actually im liking a hybrid between that and my old eq.
The Boom has that great advantage of the eq stored in the same unit. A very very convenient thing when playing from a player with no options of equalizing
Hey Alan, New here to your comparisons. I am from Australia, and at the moment for the price of 2 motion boom compared to jbl charge 5 I could probably still get 2 JBL charge 5, would it be worth getting the 2 JBLs or just get a single boom and wait till christmas? I'm currently using a powered party speaker made by sony, the MHCV72D (which is quite the monster system for a single party box). but when the power is out at my place or to take out and about with me. I also am a bit on the fence about both because of monotonous speaker sound of jbl and lack of ip67 for motion boom. I got no punchy uppers or deep bass, and instead I mostly have trebles, because my phone can't produce loud enough sound on it's own. If not these 2 units, would there be any other unit that would make for a great portable replacement? Before today I was thinking the Sony XB33 but in all your reviews you've not given it a solid recommendation. (by the sound of the Mifa Wildbox, i didn't like it compared to the boom. but thats probably because of the lack of EQ and because the highs aren't balanced out.)
Hello , I just ordered the soundcore motion boom yesterday based on your reviews and recommendations and then when i sow this video the day after i make the order i was almost sad ,but after the end of the presentation you made me relax and i can't wait for my toy receiving .I will use this speaker at work in a large hall to make my day go better at work. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do and i hope i will not be disappointed with the motion boom 😊
Hi Alan! Is it worth buying two moution booms to play in stereo and create a wow effect? I already have two moution+, I'm completely happy with them. I would like to know your opinion on this. Best wishes from Mother Russia!
The real purpose outdoor tuning is to boost the bass and roll off the highs instead of boosting the highs and cutting off the bass like many "outdoor equalization" modes do in speakers now a days. Btw yes that's probably why I want the W-King X10. Imo it may sound not so impressive indoors but I think the tuning is perfect for outdoor use.
Hello, how long lasting your battery, i played today on 80% volume by 4h30min and it says 40% left, its rly weird on 50% volume it should laat 24h and o full volume about 12h, i have motion plus and on full volume i get only 3h of playing battery problem or what and think same about boom again bad battery? With 80% volume about 8h thats what i have observed.
@@TheEgzorcysta Your numbers are normal. Motion Boom is around 6 hours at max volume. 24 hours at 50% doesn't mean 12h at max, it means that battery life is halved when adding 10db (which is probably between 60 and 70%). Since 10db more mean twice the loudness
Mifa release software upgrades to fix low volume bass and rgb ligh now display according to music beat... Mifa WildBox now has low volume bass.. We need video comparism from you.. 😍
Great reviews, pulling the curtain back for others, which is great, but not if a speaker is already wrapped under the tree. I was happy in my ignorance. £120 deal, Charge 5 black/gold Tomorrowland. Now have an itch, maybe Motion+ or maybe Boom. A speaker to take in any room with her phone. And do her morning exercise online class with better sounds than laptop speakers. Would have been easier if found you after Xmas, can’t do much about it then :)
I will. Really loved the Migrig 4:2, sounded excellent. But it’s £750ish. Heart says oh yes! Head says what, are you crazy, you’re only a casual listener, you’re doing it again, wanting the best when something a fraction of the price will do just fine. Head has a point. Look forward to your next reviews.
Wehn you compare the price from the wildbox 130 euros vs 69 euros from the motion boom i take twice the boom becasue the diference its not so big that you can shot 60 euros more for an speaker that hast no waranty in europe and you have to order from aliexpress, pound to pund champion still ashead, the motiom boom sounds fuller and hat no tweeters XD.
@@alanrossreviews yes alan the mifa is really expensive when you compare with the motiom boom at this time and also when you poay the full price of amotiomboom still like 30-40 euros diference. in the price, and thats when you have luck and you dont have to pay taxes extra

Wow, our pound for pound champion from Soundcore finally has to share its throne with someone else, that's good it's lonely at the top, finally some good competition :D. Really impressed with the Mifa. I think the Mifa looks more fun (don't like the JBL-y red tag on the front though) those lights look really nice and finally an auxiliary jack that's just awesome. Gotta say this one is mighty tempting. Still the main advantage of the Motion Boom is the app with the EQ but it starts to pale in comparison to the Mifa's other tricks ups its sleeves. Come on Soundcore gotta get a Motion Boom 2 up and running :p Also the one Motion Boom that people might have been saying was the Motion Boom 2 is the Soundcore Select Pro, you can see it in Soundcore's app but i don't think it's very far off the Motion Boom soundwise, not sure. Thanks for this amazing video as usual Alan
@@alanrossreviews Yeah i think it has something to do with the lights inside. Like the illuminated translucent part seems to be part of the membrane moving so i'm guessing that's not made of the best material for Sound honestly. I'd say skip, why sacrifice the Motion Boom's greatness in sound for some shiny lights inside 🤔 i think the Mifa's lights are very well done even if it's like they fused a Motion Boom and JBL's look and lights together, as long as it sounds good 😄
I have the soundcore select pro. I bought it for 50 bucks on Black Friday. It has the same titanium drivers as the motion boom. The specs are the same except it has a much smaller battery and it has lights. The lights are ok The lights do not respond to the music only change with set patterns. I had multiple motion +s and made quite a few returns when the firmware update bricked them. I had left my motion + untouched for 6 months and I charged them up before using and the battery was virtually dead. It was past the warranty so I gave up on them.
The Mifa has a really nice default sound, but you definitely hear the huge difference with the 13k spike on the Motion Boom especially as you turn the volume up. The fact you can custom EQ the Soundcore to me far out-weighs the funky lights on the Mifa. The Mifa is clearly louder however, the track Coopex & Benlon - In My Dreams on the Mifa had an uncomfortable kick to my ear, so I wonder if they gave you custom EQ on the Mifa, would it be total game over for the Motion Boom. The micro SD slot is a nice addition, not needing a phone / BT device to play music, but being a floating pool speaker, but only if you're throwing a party for Nemo & Dory is just stupid! At the end of the day, the Mifa Wildbox is currently up to twice the price of the Motion Boom (as of May 2022), and for me, I'd rather buy 2 Motion Boom's, TWS them and custom EQ!
for me the problem with the wildbox is how the sound thins out as the volume goes up. i much prefer the fuller sound of the boom even though the wildbox can play deeper. i have never really been able to settle on one eq with the boom. the drivers and no tweeters limit the eq you can do. i tried it with a flat tuning but sounds really dull. if you push the highs they sound a bit nasty of course with the woofers already playing deep. so yeah soundcore eq on the wildbox would be game over i guess 🥳
I just learned from Oluv that you can connect the old version of The MaxSound Plus with the new version for TWS. I don’t know if a firmware update is required in order for this to happen
this is like you are creating history in bluetooth speakers by comparing them with measurements ... mifa is making history by beating the boom in this size category ... I thik mifa has more useful features ... boom can't win with just having custom eq here
@@alanrossreviews Ok thanks and you are right, So many speaker. 😅Lol. I Totally forgot about the soundcore rave neo. It could be the mifa wildbox worst nightmare.
@@alanrossreviews So I recently purchased a w-king d7 and I think it sounds great for what it is. I feel like like it would compare well with the JBL extreme linup or w-king's own x10. As for my next purchase I'm considering something bigger in the ballpark of wking t9 or whatever might compete with it. I am also looking at Bluetooth Speaker, XDOBO 80W Portable Wireless on Amazon here in Canada but don't know anything of this speaker or brand, do you?
Hi Alan! Just discovered your old videos related to Sony xb23. Can you pls suggest which one should I pick among JBL flip 4, tribit motion sound plus and Sony xb23 23. Note that there are no service centers India for tribit in case if any issue arises.
well I bought wildbox because it was a little cheaper than boom on Aliexpress. Even though these comments of this video made me disppointed about mifa, I think I'll keep my order. In fact, both are great speakers and it's better than spend my money on a flip 5 which costs the same as a wildbox here in my country ;)
Thank you! What about this opinion, since mboom doesnt have tweeters but mifa does, maybe mifa is great replacement for motion+ because of larger battery and volume? Or motion+ beats mifa anyways sound wise? What do you think, Alan?
Boom does sound warmer, while the wildbox sound flat. Why would anyone want to listen to music that sounds flat and devoid of life is beyond me. Bass on the wildbox does go deeper but also distort. No eq control means you can't make it sound better or to your liking. Aux is not a big deal these days. And that grill comes off too easy, which is not good for outdoor activities. Boom takes this one like a champ.
@@pareklund Thing is, wildbox won't stay tuned like boom, and so you will need to open the app every time. And in a social situation when other people want to connect the wildbox will play on default eq.
As duas Caixas são incríveis, eu comprei a wildbox por conta que eu conseguir um preço muito bom no lançamento, e segundo a Mifa o App para EQ vai vim!!, Ótimo Vídeo!!
Just want a soundcore motion+ version of the motion boom and willing to pay a bit more, I think that would destroy many speakers more than the motion boom already does. The build quality probably holds people back and the tweeters are nice for better dispersion as well. Nice video!
people who did the survey after updating their booms said it showed a picture of yet to come soundcore speaker looking more like an xtreme with tweeters. maybe even more of a boombox.

Hi mr Ross. Could you do a comparison between Mifa Wildbox and W King X10 -1 ?? or any other for the early 2022 budget king?
that might be an interesting one 👍

Thanks for the new EQ for firmware 00.35!
🙂 🇧🇷 👍🏽
not realyl for the new firmware, just to get closer to the tuning of the wildbox. a bit too much bass for me but actually im liking a hybrid between that and my old eq.
@@alanrossreviews I really liked her!
Are those Bad Taste Bears you collect or what are they? They're so cute!
yeah i collect them 😁
The Boom has that great advantage of the eq stored in the same unit. A very very convenient thing when playing from a player with no options of equalizing
Its a deal maker 😁
Hi Alan, again came across your video on soundcore motion plus by Anker, pls suggest should I go for soundcore motion plus or tribit maxsound plus?
motion plus!
(by the sound of the Mifa Wildbox, i didn't like it compared to the boom. but thats probably because of the lack of EQ and because the highs aren't balanced out.)
if you are saying you can get 2 charge 5s for the price of a single boom then i would go with two c5s. is that what you meant?
I think both are sounds better.30 watt=60 watt.nice video and your reviews alan
Please do comparism between W-king X10 vs mifa wildbox..

Hi Alan! Is it worth buying two moution booms to play in stereo and create a wow effect? I already have two moution+, I'm completely happy with them. I would like to know your opinion on this. Best wishes from Mother Russia!
yes it takes them to the next level. Hi from UK 👍
love this comparation! New subscriber here 😘😁👌

Can't wait to buy the Mifa Wildbox when it comes out on Amazon India 🙌😍

The real purpose outdoor tuning is to boost the bass and roll off the highs instead of boosting the highs and cutting off the bass like many "outdoor equalization" modes do in speakers now a days. Btw yes that's probably why I want the W-King X10. Imo it may sound not so impressive indoors but I think the tuning is perfect for outdoor use.
i guess it would be more suited outdoors, true.
Just bought a motion boom few days ago.feel the bass deep inside my ears....so impressive
Would have been easier if found you after Xmas, can’t do much about it then :)
well you can still watch me after xmas as well, its a win win 🤗🤗
Two motion booms can also be a great way to get some bang for buck 😜
Wehn you compare the price from the wildbox 130 euros vs 69 euros from the motion boom i take twice the boom becasue the diference its not so big that you can shot 60 euros more for an speaker that hast no waranty in europe and you have to order from aliexpress, pound to pund champion still ashead, the motiom boom sounds fuller and hat no tweeters XD.
well if thats the price difference it is no cigar, only consider them if same price. very little between them.
@@alanrossreviews yes alan the mifa is really expensive when you compare with the motiom boom at this time and also when you poay the full price of amotiomboom still like 30-40 euros diference. in the price, and thats when you have luck and you dont have to pay taxes extra

@@lucascarvalhosilva8257 bien por ti supongo que tomaste una buena oferta. en europa estos productos por ahora son mas caros y de dudosa procendencia como lo es ali express
Come on Soundcore gotta get a Motion Boom 2 up and running :p
Also the one Motion Boom that people might have been saying was the Motion Boom 2 is the Soundcore Select Pro, you can see it in Soundcore's app but i don't think it's very far off the Motion Boom soundwise, not sure. Thanks for this amazing video as usual Alan
well i might try the pro but people i respect tell me its inferior to the boom.
@@alanrossreviews Yeah i think it has something to do with the lights inside. Like the illuminated translucent part seems to be part of the membrane moving so i'm guessing that's not made of the best material for Sound honestly. I'd say skip, why sacrifice the Motion Boom's greatness in sound for some shiny lights inside 🤔 i think the Mifa's lights are very well done even if it's like they fused a Motion Boom and JBL's look and lights together, as long as it sounds good 😄
watched the whole video! thanks for doing this!!
you did good! 😁👍
its a draw...both sound👌🏻👌🏻...deep bass on the mifa..& custom eq on the mb...can't go wrong with either one
yup its a draw IFFF same price 👍💪
Yooo 😇
If the mifa had a good app and eq
Or the motion boom had lights
It would make alot of people happy
indeed 😛
I have the soundcore select pro.
I bought it for 50 bucks on Black Friday.
It has the same titanium drivers as the motion boom.
The specs are the same except it has a much smaller battery and it has lights.
The lights are ok
The lights do not respond to the music only change with set patterns.
I still prefer Soundcore because of its fantastic eq app. I like this flexibility.
yup that is a massive plus 👍👍
Hands down you produce the best reviews Anna you're trustworthy. Thank you so much for all your hard work Alan!
I appreciate that! thank you 👍
Ive two motion boom, dont think its worth upgrading 🤨 thank you Alan
right, its too close to switch. i would not call it an upgrade, just different eq.
Based on what I can find is a little more expensive
yeah they need to be same price or boom wins.
I just learned from Oluv that you can connect the old version of The MaxSound Plus with the new version for TWS. I don’t know if a firmware update is required in order for this to happen
Well nice to know, wonder why they haven't publicised this. 🙄
this is like you are creating history in bluetooth speakers by comparing them with measurements ... mifa is making history by beating the boom in this size category ... I thik mifa has more useful features ... boom can't win with just having custom eq here
but one thing remains, boom has a warm sound and mifa has a lean sound and this for me is the difference, personally i prefer warm.
@@alanrossreviews yeah ... I like smooth warm sound too
Are you going to take a look at huawei sound joy. And how do the mifa compare to the motion plus
its not top of the list but its noted. just so many speakers and so little time 😂
@@alanrossreviews Ok thanks and you are right, So many speaker. 😅Lol. I Totally forgot about the soundcore rave neo. It could be the mifa wildbox worst nightmare.
different form factors and mifa is probably more neutral.
Which one will you recommend me getting between the two I want an upgrade from my motion plus
watch the video to understand the difference in sound signature. wildbox leaner, soundcore warmer....
Another great review Alan! The dog bark at 8:30 killed me 🤣
😁😁
Just a side note, the drivers and tweeters in the mifa are actually jbl xtreme 3 drivers.
Interesting, thanks
you should add that mifa sd card can play loseless flac etc by itself hope you try it. greetings!

well what do you plan to buy? maybe i could review that anyway 😁😁
@@alanrossreviews So I recently purchased a w-king d7 and I think it sounds great for what it is. I feel like like it would compare well with the JBL extreme linup or w-king's own x10.

In fact, both are great speakers and it's better than spend my money on a flip 5 which costs the same as a wildbox here in my country ;)
very very similar, both have good deep bass.
In Amazon Italy motion boom cost 80 euro. The mifa on aliexpress 135 euro
Thank you! What about this opinion, since mboom doesnt have tweeters but mifa does, maybe mifa is great replacement for motion+ because of larger battery and volume? Or motion+ beats mifa anyways sound wise? What do you think, Alan?
they are so different form factor and sound wise. the motion plus is more of an all rounder and still has the app for eq.
@@alanrossreviews Got it, thank you so much for your honest point of view.
I preferred the boom at 50% but the mifa above that but they really did sound the same when you equalised the boom to sound like the mifa

Boom takes this one like a champ.
well dont go by the video, i had already removed the grill once. first time takes some prising out.
You can eq it if you have Dolby Atmos in your phone (e.g. Oneplus, Sony, Realme). Or you can download an eq app.
@@pareklund
Thing is, wildbox won't stay tuned like boom, and so you will need to open the app every time.
And in a social situation when other people want to connect the wildbox will play on default eq.
@@DoronD well every time you connect to it, the settings in Dolby Atmos will be applied automatically since it is remembered for each speaker.
