To do even better day 1 I recommend running to a bunch of the abandoned bandit camps and tipped over carts instead. With a good route you can end day 1 with over 3000 money, a recurve bow and iron arrows, along with the upgraded packs and few other nice items if you want.
If you're lucky you can find a large wicker basket at an abandoned bandit camp and your carrying problems are over. If you go east from Gostovia and then follow the river up you'll pass by a spot that, if you're lucky, will have a basket waiting for you, and you might even find an iron crossbow along that route too if the game gods are smiling on you. You can fill the basket up with stone knives in bundles and save a lot of time running back and forth between the merchant and wherever you're collecting from. There's also a blacksmith at Lenica which can be reached on foot on day one. Personally, I go for a wooden crossbow with iron bolts for day 1 weapons, but that's completely personal choice, I prefer a crossbow.
Thx for the video. But, it is not necessary to build your village near a mine. While walking to the mine in the morning and walking back in the evening, the workers also produce ore. They dont have to be in the mine for this. So you can build your village near the river or anywhere else. Same with clay or something like this. They produce it, no matter if your village is directly at a clay spot or miles away.
I agree it's not necessary, it just always strikes me as odd to have my village in one place and my mine somewhere else. That's why I said it's a suggestion but certainly not something you have to do.
For the sake of „realism“ I built a complete outpost near the mine. Houses, storage, smithy and the mine (even an (unused) well just for the look). Now the workers live near their workplace and stay in the area all the time.
Lmfao "im just an ignorant american, and that's all i know," had me almost spit my coffee all over my steering wheel as i wait for my friend to get off work.
For those who don't know, you can get a recurve bow and iron arrows for free virtually right from spawn. There's a triple waterfall to the east of where you spawn, and when you get there, you'll find a bandit camp. It will have a recurve bow and arrows. It will also have some clothing and other items which can be sold. If you also go into the water next to the camp toward the 3 waterfalls, there's tin ore, limestone, and a bronze pickaxe (usually a random spawn)
The game's developers are from Poland so they pronounce "W" as "V". I've been saying it wrong the whole time, but then again I usually just call them "Tatonka". Nice work. Thanks for sharing! :D
I usually loot along the way in the beginning. I run along the river at gostovia, hitting all the barrels, carts and chests on one end, then run it along the other before heading to branica. I grab sticks and stones along the way (knives) as well, but the loot I get I sell in Branica before wagoning to Hornica for Jan's weapons. Different strat, same results :)
There is something to be said for playing this game with god mode settings on Racimir. Unlimited carry weight especially. Once you get later into the game and unlock the woodshed and workshop, then you can make & sell wooden vials. They're made of planks and are the true path to filthy medieval riches.
That's true. I definitely did a playthrough or 2 with those settings. I just have come to really enjoy overcoming the restrictions the game can put on you.
Wooden vials won't get you rich any longer, not that, or wooden spoons etc. They reset prices and adjusted the economy, so the values of items are more realistic. I mean would you really find more value in a wooden spoon, vial or bowl or would a copper pickaxe have greater value.? The items like tools or clothing are a good price to sell because there is more time and effort to make them. These changes are game wide, not just in the co op mode. I have a mine IN my villiage, and 2 more on the map. The first day of the season I going to town to sell my metal tools.
The V in Wisent comes from the German/Deuch pronunciation of the letter W. The map is supposed to be based in northwestern medieval Europe, which is why everyone has english and Irish accents. But since I have been coincidentally learning German, I pronounce every name as if it was German, and it actually works really well! I'm half a year late here but just wanted to point out something I noticed that I haven't seen anyone do. Also my personal money making method I'd chopping down a few trees, get logs, and turn them into the planks in the woodshed, and then turn them into wooden vials in the workshop. Early game you can sell them for 1.5 coins, later on they're 3 coins each...now that may not seem like much until you realise that one log gives 2 planks...and you get 10 wooden vials per plank. Yeah, crazy! Awesome video though, I'll try this out next time I start off a new life.
Thanks for this vid - buying the game because you make it look so much fun :) Just want to come home after work and relax playing games, not spend hours figuring out how to make money in games too. Have enough of that during reality time lol. Great video, super funny 👍👍
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Let me know how you like the game. It's one that's really easy to spend a lot of time in imo
@@phobiahavoc Great game! I absolutely love it, have tried all "modes" but once you go into unlimited carry and cheating items for purposes of building it kind of breaks the game. Good for seeing what there is to see but it's the challenge of playing it slowly and grinding for resources that makes it fun, as the dev's intended. I'm disappointed in how limited the storyline is in terms of zero variation between playthroughs and would have loved to see a ton more of the artwork displayed on the loading screen - they are really awesome - but overall I'm happy I've bought the game. That being said, having played the demo of Mannor Lords, for me personally a mix between Mannor Lord's city building with Medieval Dynasty's first person view where you could potentially help build the burgage plots, hunt, collect resources, do quests and participate in warfare would have been the perfect game for me. Maybe a collaboration between the two dev teams could be extremely interesting, don't you think?
in early game, i just turn the carry weight limit off until i get my shit together a little. i really like the realism of not being able to carry EVERYTHING you want with zero limits, but in early game, you just don't have anywhere to store your items so you just have to drop it all on the ground then run around trying to figure out where your stack of sticks is. your house only comes with 50 kg of storage space and it takes a lot of points to finally unlock a storage chest.
I'm so looking forward to this new update and co-op multiple players and more map's of course I'm Big fan of medieval dynasty love playing this game when well it releases to play
Thanks Havoc. I am enjoying Medieval Dynasty so far, about 25 hours vested. I am going to restart a game using your method. I like the idea of a base right outside of the mine northeast of Danica. I've been to five mines and this one is probably the best as far as logistics. I am also gonna tweak the game and use the unlimited weight so I can just go nuts collecting sticks and stones :)
Thank you so much for making this I started playing this game today and this will help me massively dropped a like and subbed keep the great content coming!!!
Also good tip I literally just found out, cos I was dirty and nobody was talking to me lol so I jumped in the lake cleaned off and I spotted floating logs they are literally a stack of 20 or 30 floating logs saves you axes and time
Haha I did that for a bit too but only got a few seasons in before I changed. It just took forever for simple progression like crops growing so it wasn't for me. My sweet spot is somewhere around 6-10 day seasons. More power to you though! Hope you enjoy
@@daveisnothere yup.. so you have plenty of time to get everything done. And then ya don't have to rush to the towns to do those side missions. And like ya said once you're caught up... then you can skip the rest of the season... if ya want to 🤷♂️
Hey man, totally agree with you. I was just in the game recently and already sunk like 30 hours into it before I learned anything (I read from Reddit and Steam discussions). Apparently, everyone realized that they need this trick in their 2nd or 3rd play-through 😂 If you start from scratch, we have to walk back every time we cut 2-3 trees, when we build something, which is not efficient and boring (because of weight). So the weight capacity is very important. It also takes a lot of time (materials, building, and tech) to make a pouch, backpack, and bow. I don't have any of them in my first game after 3 years and still kill birds and rabbits for food and think it's a good gameplay 😂 I would suggest Denica and Lesica, they have pouch and bow shops as well, and not very far like Hornica. Some people already pointed out that we can walk through abandoned camp, that's a good trick also.
Trying this game for the first time since it just came to gamepass. Pretty good so far But that cave you showed is now full of bandits. Well, three came running after me when I got close.
I actually got lucky when i started like generally believe it was pure luck, i started did the first mission then i got sent to pick up the scythe and my way there i came across bandits, one had a crossbow and bolts, down the road was a cart it had a longbow with arrows, on my way back another cart had a copper spear, then i took the long way for resources and more bandits lol in the loot piles was a iron spiked crude/club thingy
Large Pouch - $690.- Simple large Backpack - $ 1190.- It's insane now. Knifes sell for less than 3.- Bucks now. So it's better to sell; Iron, Salt, Cooper etc. from the Mine.
I wish I knew this start. I did ok but this was much easier. I now make money having my villagers chop trees for me whilst my wife makes shit loads of wooden vials for me to sell
This reminds me of the guy who works in nyc just going outside jewel stores digging in dirt and finding diamond and stones small but whatever going home and make at avg 300 dollars a week
Just run around and pick up these items from the camps/loot on day one. I started again last week, and after two days had picked up a full set of copper/bronze/iron tools, a recurve bow with various arrows, made around 2000 coin selling the stuff I didn't need, with all of the fun of the exploring and none of the grind of picking up 7 million stones from the ground. Your start isn't OP because of the grind, and it's also just the way to play the game.
No, most of us don't focus on specific strats like this, we just play the way it's designed; following a few quests, building the new exciting things we're unlocking, experimenting with the new systems. Generally it's the content locust who blast past everything using popular metas to avoid 75% of the game for the achievement.
I would say once you have gathered your bow and arrow you may find it easier and a little less monotonous hunting for leather to sell simple bags there a pretty big cash cow as well
Everyone is always talking about how broken this game is but no one mentions how you can access the customize the game settings at literally every moment in the game. Switching settings on and off at your every whim
Question Can you choose to do the complete opposite of the game title? Instead of building a kingdom, just live on your own and give the goal of the game the middle finger and just chill till your character dies?
Without quick crafting? Not really Can only buy the bag and pouch Then i have to race with time planting crops and build house Now is last day of spring, 3 pm Gonna gather those berries for fertilizer
Is there a upcoming video from this game coming also? (Hoe bemest je de velden? Ik zit telkens vast op de varkens boerderijen). Ow, and another questio.. can youre workers work on a empty mine?
If I'm understanding your question correctly, yes, there is another Medieval Dynasty video coming soon. I could be wrong, but I don't believe it matters if you've already mined everything out of a mine. I'm pretty sure workers will still produce what they're assigned to even if the mine is empty.
Oddly saddened the games broke now the challenge of it gone, its almost why play sigh.I was happy initially but having done this method and your new one as well in Oxbow ty Hunting im over it already dang...
Ok so what am I missing here? You're flexing your "start" but if I just turn on unlimited carry weight and a few other settings I can get over 1000 knives to sell right off the bat? Also skip the silly backpack and pouch... I mean, sure the games not fun like that but idk... I'm just not getting the flex
The worst thing you can do in this game is change the days off 3. Take your time in this game there is no need to rush at all. In fact its a part of game design to grow old and play as your son at some point and players that raise the days off 3 never get that far.
My tip for beginners: Start a new game, turn on infinite stamina and weight and set seasons to 30 days. Now you take some time and just go farming materials for 3-4 hours. After farming you save it. Now you have a save game which you can use everytime you want to start a new game and you won't need to farm again.
Haha well Syphix (my editor) and I consider that quite the compliment! Certainly not trying to be Spiff, but he is a great creator for sure! Thanks for the kind words!
I did this 1st part gathered sticks stones made stone knife's but when I go to Branica sell to Lubomira she I can only sell them for 2.5 gold each NOT 20 idk how outdated this information is but yea
They definitely nerfed it. I made so many knives and lost so much stone for not even a thousand coins. Guess I gotta wait til I can have my fertilizer farm...
Game developers are so worried people cheat in their game by exploiting stuff like this then they go and nerf stuff that was originally designed to be like that. If somebody wants to cheat, they WILL cheat.. It just takes 1 thing only: Cheat Engine. Done, no need for knives. You nerf the knives, I open up Cheat Engine. Haiz
You do need to at least talk to Uniegost at some point because you won't be able to actually construct and buildings until you do. This start just shows you how you can double carry capacity and become end-game level powerful on the first day.
You can have your village elsewhere while still having that mine. I just recommended that location if you want the mine to be in the same place as the rest of the village.
Fast Way make money make plenty of spoons and take too every village it work for me lolol I have started new game my other game could I'm Max out over 200 workers in my villages 😊
Only if you focus exclusively on this, the game really isn't meant to be this way, this is a special tactic for maximizing early profit. The game is actually designed for you to play along the storyline and build a village as you go. Every time you walk through a forest, i.e. constantly, you're gathering sticks and stones.
@phobiahavoc I found it right after I posted this. Good stuff. I'm still on the OG campaign because this is my first time playing, but I'll try it. Even with 2 buck chuck knives I was able to get the Large BP day 2 and have an entire house built outside the cave. I'm just grinding the game normal style though. I'll definitely keep watching you videos.
i'm playing on xbox gamepass, but on the pc. it is super frustrating that there is no tutorial to get you started that shows you even the most basic controls. it doesn't even tell you how to walk or change the camera view. doesn't explain the skills tree or the technology. i hate that every single time i figure out there is something i need, i have to google to find out how/if i can make/buy it because looking through all the crafting wheels is tedious af. it's always like " i need a bowl, how do i make that? oh, i need a worktable inside a workshop. how do i make a workshop? oh, i don't have the technology unlocked. how do i get those particular tech points?" it would be nice to have some guidance. i don't want a walkthrough, but it's getting tiring going back and forth to google. plus, i'm sure there are features that i'll never use just because i don't know they exist.
@@everwhat013 when I first started I really wanted to just do my own thing and not really focus on the quests. I had to restart and make a new game because I realized how important the Chapter quests are. Just follow them and it'll guide you through a lot of what you need to know. Plus, the food storage and item storage will automatically distribute items as people need them. Put EVERYTHING in those chests unless you want it for yourself. Items gathered and made by villagers also automatically go in those two storages.
So I have decided to quit my job and start gathering sticks and stones....
Smart choice...

Wisent is like Volkswagen = (Volksvagen). sounds like a german word maybe.
Add winter clothes to this and your all set 😉
The secret to mass wealth is selling seeds, unless they've nerfed it since I played last.
Oddly saddened the games broke now the challenge of it gone, its almost why play sigh.I was happy initially but having done this method and your new one as well in Oxbow ty Hunting im over it already dang...
Nice one!
I followed after the pizza comment cause mood
Ok so what am I missing here? You're flexing your "start" but if I just turn on unlimited carry weight and a few other settings I can get over 1000 knives to sell right off the bat? Also skip the silly backpack and pouch... I mean, sure the games not fun like that but idk... I'm just not getting the flex
The main thing I turn off is taxes cause I don't want to pay them in a video game, I also like 30 day seasons
50 sticks + 20 stones = 10 stone knives
Great guide but...they seemed to have nerfed the value of the stone knives. As of today they only sell for 2.5 coin.
Check out the new video on the channel. I provided a new easy money mechanic though that video also shows off the new map
What about looking for Dyter's camp and free longbow?
Or does that spawn later?
I picked it up before completing the quest, didn't say Steal...
in the non english speaking world, w is mostly pronounced double v and used as a thick v sound in slavic languages
The worst thing you can do in this game is change the days off 3. Take your time in this game there is no need to rush at all. In fact its a part of game design to grow old and play as your son at some point and players that raise the days off 3 never get that far.
My tip for beginners:
Start a new game, turn on infinite stamina and weight and set seasons to 30 days. Now you take some time and just go farming materials for 3-4 hours. After farming you save it.
Now you have a save game which you can use everytime you want to start a new game and you won't need to farm again.
Like Bethesda games, play until you get the second *confirm create character* prompt, save, then save again for each character.
The pronouciaton u got there for „Wisent“ is a german one. We pronounce „wie“ like a „v“. 🤷♂️
Idk y but your editing style and tone reminds me of the spiffing brit i like it tho
Haha well Syphix (my editor) and I consider that quite the compliment! Certainly not trying to be Spiff, but he is a great creator for sure! Thanks for the kind words!
Unstuck would also get you close to the southern city no?
Not anymore. They fixed that. Unstuck will now drop you a few meters away, if that.
Does the sticks and stones money method work irl aswell?
I'm oneshotting deers in the face with stone arrows using Longbow. Could be a cheaper option.
Unfortunately they nerfed the sell price of stone knifes, so they only sell for 5
I did this 1st part gathered sticks stones made stone knife's but when I go to Branica sell to Lubomira she I can only sell them for 2.5 gold each NOT 20 idk how outdated this information is but yea
It's been updated...everything sell for less n sold for less now
The v sound in wisent comes from the w because w is pronounced in german like your v not doublu u
I think they nerfed the stone knife cost :( still pretty good but it took me all of spring first year
They definitely nerfed it.
Haiz
Sub. Nice vid. But I'm doing a slow grind🤣 maybe on my next one
So we dont need to take the quest talk to castellan? , i have already build first house at gostovia in the first day
You do need to at least talk to Uniegost at some point because you won't be able to actually construct and buildings until you do. This start just shows you how you can double carry capacity and become end-game level powerful on the first day.
yes you need to talk to him, you can not even build a fire to cook food, until you do.
Im building my first farming village, can I make a smaller villages near the mine or would I need to move my whole village?
You can have your village elsewhere while still having that mine. I just recommended that location if you want the mine to be in the same place as the rest of the village.
Fast Way make money make plenty of spoons and take too every village it work for me lolol I have started new game my other game could I'm Max out over 200 workers in my villages 😊
Anyone found outfits worth talking about?? I'm just beginning on ps4
W's are pronounced as V's in German..
might as well change the name of the game "Sticks and Stones".
Sady, knives barely sell for anything now.
Check the latest video on the channel
To small flat area.
Have the devs watched this and patched it all out yet? :)
Nope! Tested it about 2 weeks ago, and it still works exactly how the video shows.
doesn't all this sticks & stones make the game boring??? Pity the map isn't random, or even custom maps you can download.
Only if you focus exclusively on this, the game really isn't meant to be this way, this is a special tactic for maximizing early profit. The game is actually designed for you to play along the storyline and build a village as you go. Every time you walk through a forest, i.e. constantly, you're gathering sticks and stones.
Bruh this didn't work even a little bit. Stone knives sell for 2.5 now not 20 😢 I was so pumped when I saw this video
Check the new video on the channel. This is an old video and the game has had a massive update since.
Way to many memes. Don't even bother there is a shorter video that describes this while getting to the point
I started it on xbox today and its really hard to understand the game I never have the tools for my hunters and water villagers
i'm playing on xbox gamepass, but on the pc. it is super frustrating that there is no tutorial to get you started that shows you even the most basic controls. it doesn't even tell you how to walk or change the camera view. doesn't explain the skills tree or the technology. i hate that every single time i figure out there is something i need, i have to google to find out how/if i can make/buy it because looking through all the crafting wheels is tedious af.
it's always like " i need a bowl, how do i make that? oh, i need a worktable inside a workshop. how do i make a workshop? oh, i don't have the technology unlocked. how do i get those particular tech points?"
it would be nice to have some guidance. i don't want a walkthrough, but it's getting tiring going back and forth to google. plus, i'm sure there are features that i'll never use just because i don't know they exist.
@everwhat013 doesn't explain how to get more settlers either so I'm limited to 2 and me so can't use the buildings properly
god u zoomers are so helpless
@@tippidink I ain't no zoomer
@@everwhat013 when I first started I really wanted to just do my own thing and not really focus on the quests. I had to restart and make a new game because I realized how important the Chapter quests are. Just follow them and it'll guide you through a lot of what you need to know. Plus, the food storage and item storage will automatically distribute items as people need them. Put EVERYTHING in those chests unless you want it for yourself. Items gathered and made by villagers also automatically go in those two storages.
