@Luna Azulis I agree. Our British press is evil incarnate. They criticised Princess Diana with increasing degrees of brutality, and the moment she died their malice instantly turned into 12-page pull-outs of the 'People's Princess.'
Likewise, on the same day one thoughtless newspaper ran a headline calling for The Queen's abdication because she was 'too old' to attend functions - so she died a few hours later.
Then barely is she in the ground when our papers start up a load of nastiness about a feud between Charles and Andrew, and the Sussex's. They hadn't even been allowed their time to grieve properly before it all started.
And that's just The Royal Family - never mind celebrities and countless ordinary people who've had their lives ruined by biased, exaggerated and downright inaccurate headlines.

And I do not blame her, as she has been abused and knows women need protection from (biological) men.
As you may not know, men have gained access to some women prisons by claiming to be trans women, only to then start violating the defenseless female inmates. That example clearly demonstrates how right Rowling is.

Which is why he supported Brexit, a personal project of the worst of the British media. I love his work, but this man seems like a weathervane. One moment we need to be out of the EU, next moment it's all the media's fault. I wonder which party he supports, because it seems like he's avoiding discussing failings of government.

Scottish people, are straightforward, passionate and egalitarian, instinctively stick up for the underdog and are unflinchingly loyal should they choose to be in your corner. I tell this to everyone I meet - providing they are not Scottish. As an English person, you just can’t say that to a Scottish person without unleashing a tirade of preening smugness and arrogance. So I prefer most Scots people think I’m ambivalent about them - it just brings out their best. And the best of a Scot is very fine thing indeed. Maybe John was doing the same.

Having known the inside information behind many stories, it's shocking the drivel published in most British newspapers. Worse than that, they vindictively continue to publish material about individuals who have had some misfortune, and even when the information is long expired, they pathetically claim it's in the public interest to keep it there. The mechanisms to deal with them are pathetic and inaccessible to most, particularly those burdened by the very event(s) published.
