After watching about 10 videos for the impala, this is the only video that I have seen so far where the person actually shows you a view of the camera inside the door so that you can see what he is actually hooking things up to. All the other videos just showed someone reaching their arm in and we were left to imagine/guess what he was doing. Great video and Great work.
This video helped me cross reference on my 2010 Chevy Malibu, which had the same setup. Found out the hard way that the “mystery mechanism” one of the rods connects to is the door lock cylinder above. Thanks 🙏🏾
I have this problem and I REALLY appreciate your attention to detail. My question is this, Does the window need to be removed in order to replace the door latch?
Great video. I'll be doing this door next. I started with the rear driver's side door first. That's a nightmare because the latch assembly is located high inside the door opening. I struggled with the door lock rod on that one!
I have to make a new connection from the harness to the motor, how do I know which pin goes to what wire? I don't have the old one for reference. It's an LTZ
