    Lots more protected covering means more convenience and more comfort. Really smart purchase. 👏 I'm sure the "kids" will enjoy it like mom and dad will!!

      Thanks Bill! It hasn't rained much since I put it on so, I have yet to fully test it 😄 But I'm sure it will hold up just fine! 👍

    Have the same rack as you do on my 2016 4runner trail. I purchased the four walls with it, three of them have the screened doors, and you'll be surprised at how much covered you have. I totally love it when I have it set up, and yes, clear Christmas lights along the edge of it. I'm actually heading out soon for a four day solo trip, love my 4runner ( sorry, Jeep 😊😊 ). Just remember, be safe out there.

      Hi Michael I've had a difficult few years, my Dad passed away on the 1st Jan just gone, he was suffering from Cancer for a few year so he needed a lot of care from the family and my own health hasnt been great, I am starting to feel more like myself headwise so I do have plans for my channel. I've started to get my stored kit out and check the itinerary. Thank you so much for you subscription and patience.

    I did find that camping with a jeep when raining was not so awesome. But this really solves this issue. Very nice add on. Thanks and take care

    Couple of tips, find your comfortable height and pack legs up at that height.
    When solo setting up, grab all four legs and swing out together and lower each leg as awning unfurls, always double peg legs down always.
    The walls add so much realestate underneath.
    Top video.

      Great tips! Setting the legs really help on the next setup for sure 👍

    That’s a great set up. They are worth the effort and cost. We set up a portable awning when camping last summer. Gave us great shelter from the endless sun,heat and ridiculous hail storm lol.

      Very true - I dry place when camping or in the sun is defiantly worth the investment 👍

    We used that awning for a couple years. It’s a great system. I really like the stake holes on the bottom of the poles that let you use 2 stakes in a crossed configuration. It holds them down really well. We never broke any hinges but I made sure to drop the poles down as I was extending it around to make sure they were supported. It’s nice to cook on the tailgate table without getting wet.
    Enjoy your trip.

      Thanks Mike - I leaned the same trick to drop a leg on the way around - Its not that much extra effort. So far so good with the awning 👍

    Esme in the background: "Dad, I thought we were going to eat batwings" The wing is big enough to sell fruits and vegetables under. 🤪 The wing is cool, definitely going to be great to use. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧✌️

    I like the upgrade, Michael. From the description in the Rhino Rack link, it seems this is designed for shade, but not rain. Can you lower the poles to pitch the awning so that rain will run off?

    • @TheEmporiumOutdoors
      @TheEmporiumOutdoors  Год назад

      Hi Ted - I think they list it under shade and I can attest to it working for rain too 😄 As mentioned, just drop a corner and the rain just slides off 👍

    How did you mount the iKamper to the Pioneer Platform? Were you able to use the 3.0 clamps, and did they fit in-between the slats? Thanks!

    • @TheEmporiumOutdoors
      @TheEmporiumOutdoors  Год назад

      Yup - they just bolted up right between the slats- You can slide the clamps to match the rails and they provide a long Allen wrench to tighten them - Fits perfectly 👍
