On 7-15-23, I caught a bit of switching activity at Union Pacific's Davidson yard in Fort Worth, Texas. Besides the 2 different switching operations, an Eastbound intermodal passed, as well as an inbound manifest led by a BNSF unit. Sitting at the fuel pad and waiting their turn in the engine shop were various other UP units along with NREX and CSX units. Thanks for watching!

It’s rather unfortunate that they no longer blow their horns at these crossings in Davison yard anymore. You gotta dislike, quiet zones I sure as heck do yeah it would be a lot easier if we had quiet zones like Australia in Australia, the quiet zone is only affect during night time hours, and all the level crossing signals are modified to have the bells shut off and nighttime hours and the bills with reactivate at first light in the horn zone would reactivate as well when we have horns zones during the day and quiet zones at night that would make things a whole lot easier.
Yeah daytime quiet zones kinda suck. At night QZs are pretty nice when you live trackside lol
