Hearing people talk about a house reno is interesting, but seeing it's better. More focus on the house would be nice.

lol honestly... I love hearing the backstory but a nice extended walkthrough would be great. Especially since this is a house showcase.

They need to learn from Houzz's videos. They do a fantastic job actually showing the house and not running cringey infomercials on cars

Thank you, thank you for not placing the tv over the fireplace! It seems that so many houses are built or arranged around the tv, and that the best place to put it is above the fireplace for some reason.

I love Mortiz and grew up in what I assume was a replica of his designs. The same exact layout of this home with an extra wing on the right on the water in Connecticut. We loved it so much we didn’t mess around with the design. When my parents sold it the new owners changed just about everything About it sadly and didn’t keep to the original mid century design styles. It was brown instead of blue and had framed what I consider my dream house to be. House hunting is much more difficult when you only like modern and mid century designs.

Considering the view and the direction of light and a breeze when building a home vs. your local development where every house looks the same and there are no trees.

  • @katew947

Wish in the interior design they had used some more mid century pieces. The interior design is very basic and trendy and seems a shame not to compliment the architecture with the design. Although you can hardly see the house in this video so maybe they did and I just can’t see it haha

It is a downhill from here with gas plumbed firepit, cutting down the mature pines and making an open-concept kitchen (instead of keeping it enclosed behind sliding panels). Floor color and format is also wrong. Looks like these ugly engineered floors. Decor and furniture are hotel-ugly.
