You're right. She's definitely underrated and under appreciated. She has so much soul and gospel sound in her runs. What I love about this song is that it is empowering. Most female songs is about "I can't live without you. Please don't leave me cause I'll fall apart" kind of message. This one says, "you didn't love me like the way I deserve to be treated, so I am leaving your sorry a** behind" :)

You got to feel the music not just hear it
It's kinda frustrating to see vocal coaches react to the technical aspect of her performance without correlating it with the emotional content of the song. Those runs and vocal fries aren't there just for the sake of hitting one.
Her name does ring a bell in phil entertainment and for music industry not putting her more in the limelight is beyond me. Shes got distinct clean voice and classy approach to singing. You got good taste maj you spot the good places in a singers rendition that may otherwise go unnoticed by casual listeners. If only you can grow that stache and beardy a bit thicker.
