It's about time they made Rachel's story a movie!!! I have wondered for the longest time, why no one had moved on that. This shooting happened 1 year after I graduated and affected me deeply. I heard her story, I read her book (Rachel's Tears) which is enough to bring you to your knees... Rachel Joy Scott was an AMAZING TEENAGER that knew the struggles of "the walk"... She's an inspiration to us all, as she was in Life, and will forever be in Death. Love to you Rachel --- 💗💗💗💗💗

It comes out exaclty a week before my birthday and I really want to see it on my birthday. I have been wanting to see this movie since day 1 of the news about the movie.
I started tearing up watching this, her life and story has made a profound impact on my life! I can't wait to see this!

Why not? This movie is a clear cash-grab based on a tragedy with no remorse for the victims or their families.
Might as well go full immersion of selflessness like the writers did when thinking this was a good medium to push their victim complex on it's viewers.
The mother was an insane Evangelist who thought her daughter (the girl in the movie here) was a prophet and a seer that foretold the future and pushed books, media attention, and a cult following following the death of her daughter.
Her father, who is a Christian, didn't want her daughter made into some false symbol of of end-times prophecies and took a positive route. He divorced his wife and went to schools around the country to promote awareness for depression, bullying, and was a positive influence on communities around the country for his talks surrounding this shooting.
The mother made up countless lies about how the shooters went around asking "Do you believe in god?" before shooting them when every single eye witness and survivor stated that never happened. The mother pushed her writings to get rich and make millions. Now years later, here we are again. Almost like everyone has forgotten... you may have been too young at the time, but I'm not gonna assume your age, you may in fact be older than me. But you clearly have forgotten. Go look it up yourself.

Intense. I hope this movie lives up to what a Columbine movie should be. This is a good company, and I hope they don't drop the ball on this one.
Here's the thing about this movie, SOMEONE at Pureflix if not several people did some serious research about the shooting and the shooters. The people bullying Eric and Dylan wearing white hats, the weapons they used, the basement tapes, it looks like it's all gonna be included into this movie. The question is are they going to skip over the shooting and just cut to after Rachel's dead? or will they also include the deaths of the other 12 people who lost their life in the mass shooting.

Hello there and I'm hoping everybody has a great weekend, also I hope all is well too.
I am watching I'm not ashamed for my first time ever. This is a great movie and I'm enjoying it. However it's a shame what happens in here, also it happens in real life too.
The teachers and principal has to start getting down or on the students and get rid of these bullies. As long as there's more bullying there's going to be more school shootings I hope that's not the case here.

Why does she only get a movie? What about the other students who were killed? What do they just become background characters in this movie? I have a feeling this is going to be awful, and they're gonna make Rachel act like she tried to 'save' the bullied killers. If anything this seems like an insult to the others who were killed. Why is it just because she was the first one killed does she get a full on movie?

Looks like to me the message of the movie is compassion, selflessness, love, and laying down your life for others. The same message Jesus brought. I can see why that would be offensive to "atheists." They cannot NOT be offended by the message of the cross.

I haven't seen the film..but I have seen God's Not Dead and
I feel very very disappointed. I'm sure that Rachel Joy Scott was of actual good character and of loving heart and devoted to Jehovah-Jireh . But this was not the way to do a Rachel Joy Scott film nor a film about the Columbine shooting. There was no need to over-speculate the events building up to the killings, sure you could call it a cinematic liberty with movies based on true events, but this is dumb. "I am good girl in bad world, praise Jesus" "We are shooters who act like the Joker muahuahua". The Scott Family should've not accepted the pitch to the biography film, they should've brought it over to an actual film group who understands that there are dimensions
within the ways people act. Not, up, down, left, right, black, white. I get it, this is Pure Flix, of God's Not Dead fame...but I think they need to step up their game if they wanna make their movies actually last generations like Mel Gibson's double Christianity-related success "Passion of The Christ" and "Hacksaw Ridge"...which may mean you may have to fudge the "Pure" in Pure Flix so that more people can actually feel remorse for characters.

so, i am confused about this, why focus on something so random and vague. although these are from her diary, i doubt alot of this movie is true to heart. no one honestly cares what your religion is, just as long as you do not throw it into their faces, as the same with politics. people should debate and grow, not push agendas. i feel like this movie will just be like other religous movies, eveyone stays the same and the story just happens. no real arc and characters are more characterchers

She wasn't "singled out for her faith" the shooters didn't even exchange words with her...and why are you making Rachel's story so motivational compared to anyone else...just because she was the first one to be brutally murdered in a school shooting doesn't make her any different from the other students who lost their lives that day...
