last night i rewatched in theatre the Avatar 1 in its newest released version and i must say this 13yr old movie feels in 2022 more actual than ever.
it's as if in 2009 it was too advanced to catch its deepness fully.

My partner and i went to see Avatar yesterday making its return to the big screen and we absolutely loved it. It was so much better than the first time I recall watching it in 2009. The film is a total knockout from visual cinematography and the narrative holds up incredibly well in particular seeing what's happening on the global stage right now whether it's Russia and Ukraine or Covid 19 with the side effects and all the fallout with big business and certain monopolies.
I love the romance between the two leads and otherworldly creatures. I cannot wait to see AVATAR 2!
same. i rewatched it 2 days ago and wow it was insane. The first one looked good, but now the remastered looks even way better it was insane. Even tho i was sad at the end of the movie cuz of the plot its still great

I remember watching before in my teens, I was completely in awe. The theme that resonated with me was the connection with the natural environment, I live and grew up in a tropical country where nature and wildlife are a daily part of our lives. We've seen and experienced firsthand the effects when humans get ahead of themselves and exploit nature. Flooding and landslides because of deforestation, stronger typhoons because of the changing climate.
Couldnt belive that it came out in 2009. There hasnt really been better CGI in those years. Did you see the Avatar 2 clip at the end?

It took 13 years for the technology to catch up to the vision. I feel like we’re about to see something straight up mind blowing when it comes to the characters and CGI.
I saw the 3d clip in the cinema and its the best CGI I've ever seen.

Everyone should go watch the re - release of Avatar in IMAX 3D. Even if you have seen Avatar a ton of times. You remember the story. It is still absolutely mesmerising. There is something about the 3D in Avatar that just feels different than other 3D movies. It feels very organic. Oh and if that isn't enough, the preview of Avatar 2 at the end. That is so worth sitting through the movie again. Watching that preview in IMAX 3D. Omg, speechless. The visuals. I would even say you feel like you are in the water because of how well done the CGI and the 3D is. I am gonna be definitely watching Avatar 2 in IMAX 3D and I probably watch it at least 3 times. It's not just a movie, it's an experience to be had.

Our Jake is getting older. My kid is super excited for the part 2 we always watch part 1 whenever we have time. we made his room Pandora theme too with toruk customize piece above his bed. The nostalgia of this movie, I watched it when i was 13 yrs old and now i got to share my excitement with my own kid whose turning 5 now
"He didn't get preachy." And that's why Avatar works and the audiences are open to the message. More modern filmmakers could learn from Cameron's approach. Let the audience come to their own conclusions about the message of the film, don't beat them over the head with it.

I waited for this sequel since they announced they were going to do one a couple of years after the first film came out. I hated James for so long for promising something that was never going to happen for years. And now over a decade later, after having to read the books, to learning their language, to having my gamertag and email names be a reference to the movie, after closely paying attention to Cameron's works over the last decade... I still cannot believe this is a real tangible thing we are going to see in December. I still remember where I sat, and which cinema I watched it the first time around and how the studio was full and how it changed my life. I'm the ultimate Avatar lover and the last thing that I want is to have expectations.... but I can only just hope that this second one is going to be just as special.

James Cameron came here to Guam to go to the Marianas Trench. My friend met him at a bar. She didn’t recognize him. He just said “Hi, I’m Jim”. As someone who was a diving instructor and fell in love with the underwater world decades ago, I’m looking forward to this. I just saw Avatar I again yesterday.

Like Avatar ended up becoming the most special/iconic movie of the 2000s decade, I have a feeling that Avatar: Way of Water will be the most special/iconic movie of this generation. James Cameron is hands down the greatest director alive today (yeah, I know Spielberg is still alive).

I'm happy they're back, unlike most I love the first film, since the beginning, didn't have to grow into it..
Black don't crack is a law of reality! Man... black people have put up with some bullshit in the USA historically for sure... but they are blessed with beautiful seemingly ageless skin. She has barely aged a day in a decade yet Sam, still a good looking man, is looking far older now. Zoe was my favorite part of the original (great) film. Her character is a fantastic example of how to write a great female character. She was strong, but also a good person, she was a competent, resourceful, loving, rounded person. They also didn't make Sam's character a dunce, moron, weak, fool, even though he was learning and being taught things. Her strength was being written as his expense. She also wasn't pretending to be a man, or macho, or literally take on traditionally toxic, cruel male traits that the writers confuse as strong. So many Woke religious writers pushing girl power agenda crap have been doing this lately and it is awful to watch.
I thought Sam has become a ghost or something coz there was no exiwtenve of him for quite some time#... But now good to see him back!💕🙏
