The interesting part of this story is that the intended keyboard player fell ill about 4 weeks before the tour was to begin. An SOS when out to the fans to see if anyone could fill the shoes of Ralph Schuckett. An acquaintance of Todd's son knew a guy who he thought he should check out. With only 2 weeks to learn a 2+ hour show of highly technical keyboard parts, that were in the past done by 3 keyboard players and never having ever played anything by Todd or Utopia- Gil Assayas saved the tour. He not only had to learn the keyboard parts but also the vocals. A tremendous undertaking. He has since toured with Todd and with Kasim Sulton's Utopia, Celebrating David Bowie and the Beatles themed "50 Years Ago Today" tour. Let's hear it for Gil.
