This episode was soooo good. You can literally see what goes inside a chef's mind. The creativity level is insane. Not everytime a dish comes out the way you want to , but the thinking level, hats off to that. I loved the new concept , would loveee to see more of such episodes. ❤️ And yes , when you work long enough in the kitchen , you can create dishes in your mind and you have an idea (till some extent) how they will taste. 🖤
That peanut butter and jelly sandwich looked awesome 😍😍 loving the egg sandwich as well. Congratulations on getting married Sonny, I see a ring on your finger.
I love when he talks about growing up in Minnesota. I grew up there too and I know everything he talks about lol, brings back so many memories. It's cool having someone to relate too.

I mean a glass of champagne a week is gonna do less damage than a lot of other stuff, such as sugars, coffeine, nicotine e.tc. One should not drink while pregnant, sure. But one glass is not gonna do a lot.
"The bread itself doesn't taste black?... Can we even say that these days?" 😂😂😂.. I hate to admit the present is still the best time to be alive in. What a world😂
Sunny and his team make discovery channel look outdated. Another perfectly made video ! Sunny's personality, the shots and editing, everything on point.
The actual original Philly cheese steak sandwich looked glorious 🤤🤤🤤. I bet its all kinds of delicious? But the peanut butter and jelly expensive sandwich. Now that I'd buy 🤤😍😋 Thanks Sonny for another beautiful show. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦
I totally love the concept of the series. I'm a cook myself and this is highly interesting. I loved your shows before, but this is awesome. Please keep the concept of making "everyday" food really fancy. Sorry for my bad english. Ps: respekt to the first chef. She doesn't use any fancy ingredients but makes the fanciest pbj ever. :) this is cooking craft at its finest.
Super cool episode, I’d love to see this approach applied to cuisines all over the world, challenging chefs in different regions to try adapted or elevated forms of dishes from their global counterparts.
If you live on PB&J, you should also try Butter + Jelly. Take butter straight from the fridge, don't melt it. Cut round 0.2 inches thick (roughly 2 to 1 ratio to the jelly if it's the typical overly sweet factory-made jelly). Sprinkle some salt if your butter is unsalted. You're welcome.
"I love a sandwich that you can barely fit in your mounth because there's so much stuff on it. The bread should not be the main thing on a sandwich." These sandwiches are epic. Happy hungry! Cheers, Domenico.
This was an awesome episode! I love the concept. Definitely would love to watch more episodes of this concept with chefs doing something different and more extravagant of dishes. What about fancy cereal? Or $200 burritos!

Here in Saudi After watching this video, I am running to a small cafeteria and buy a boiled egg sandwich which cost 2 riyals and eating like how Sunny eats (equivalent half USD)...
Sonny: "Let's go for a couple of fancy sandwiches !" **proceeds to spend the same amount of money as I have for 3 weeks of food budget** Me: "Definitively looks like it's worth it though"
Ah yes, the good ol' "we're gonna shave some truffle on top" trick to make a $5 sandwich into $100 one. I was hoping he'd put some edible gold on top to make it $500😂😂😂😂😂

most of the time the food is just lathered in spices or so extremely expensive its good. but that PB&J looked absolutely phenomenal and sonny only paid for the labor to make it. props to that lady this is definitely one of my favorite moments on the show
i love this concept so much pls do more of it 😍 i had to cook instant noodle bcs of the century egg truffle sandwich and then imagined eating the philly cheese 🥲
Barclay Prime in Philly (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) actually has a $120 cheesesteak on their menu. It’s been on their menu for quite a long time and started out as the $100 USD Philly Cheesesteak. Their restaurant is a day trip destination location, just to try their cheesesteak. Usually 2 ppl will split one sandwich and add some sides...this way they get enough to eat, but at half the price. They’ve been on my food bucket list for several years. I just haven’t gone down state (southeast Pennsylvania) in a long time. Besides when going down state one must at least spend one night there so they can also get a cheesesteak from Gino’s. ✌🏻😊🥰 *LOVE THIS VIDEO*
These all looked amazing. I don't even like egg mayo and have never had PBJ or Philly cheese steak sandwiches, but I would be *so* willing to try them all in a heartbeat. Whether I could afford or even fit all that food in would be another story but they really do all look wonderful!

5:10, Sonny says ‘some people will say it isn’t PB&J’.
