S.33 criminal justice act defines a pubic space as "“Public place” includes any highway and any other premises or place to which at the material time the public have or are permitted to have access, whether on payment or otherwise ”." If they don't want these areas to be accessed they can have locked gates or locked bins. Who owns the land (private property) is immaterial. These businesses have to pay for waste disposal. They should be happy to have it taken away for free Sad fact is that this manager is probably paid not much more than £1 above minimum wage.
Great you guys are recyling and saving good items from landfill, but please wear gloves and get some mini step ladders and get straight in those bins and recycle faster 👍👍👍👍

You could take the car seat cover off and wash them and wipe down the plastic I do that all the time of my kids and I had those handed down to me by my cousins

Okay my advice to you guys is to see who that guy was saving all of that for that is working for your public works and sanitation departments because that's going to be your biggest road blocks and if that's not the case then turn him into your public works and sanitation departments especially if he's just a part of the management team because if so they will be having a conversation with the owners of the business and explaining to them that the bins belong to them and that he can't stop you from going through the bins once that they have thrown it out guys!
