Yeah, that’s beautiful, similar to areas in Alaska. Looks like New Zealand takes good care of its hikers. It also sounds like geology wise your going to have some new mountains to hike. Very cool.
I was rained out of Mueller Hut a while back and was so disappointed but I'm glad a day trip is a good option if you have to wait for better weather. I did't know you could use it during the day if you didn't have a reservation but it looks like you can, based on the video. Great video!
Mt Cook rocks! Late last year, I enjoyed my time at hooker river taking photos and returned back at night on one of the hills to do bit of astrophotography. Also, did first time in ski-plane flight over aoraki/mt cook.. I was really scared but I really enjoyed it! :-)
I just watched another RUclips video entitled "What I Learned Watching 'The Bridge on the River Kwai'" and I think you should watch it. David Lean has some insightful comments on panning, cutting and framing for film-makers. I suggest panning a bit more slowly so as to avoid blurring the background scenery.

That's awesome. You should try and stay at the hut! Just make sure to book ahead and fingers crossed for a good weather day!
