dam bad ass video watching this makes me miss my three Wheeler mine wasn't a Honda 350x or the 250r but I had a Honda 200s and I have to say Honda always had the baddest three wheelers I had a blast spring Summer fall and winter a friend of mine had a Honda 350x my cousin's had quads a Honda 400ex a Yamaha warrior 350 a Yamaha blaster 200 and my uncle had a Yamaha yfz450 I could out run the Yamaha warrior and the Yamaha blaster on the trails and the street and I also had the manco dingo buggy 8hp Briggs Stratton that is in my picture I could run 65/70 mph all day I took the role cage off and I could go anywhere that a quad and three Wheeler could go
I'm laying in bed right now with my foot in a boot because I test rode my friends 200 and me being a dirtbike guy, I'm not used to having 2 bubble tires right behind my heel. I'm sure you know what happened
Great pair of ATC's you guys got there, I hope you still own them? I never got to own a 350X or 200X. I only owned the 83 ATC250r air cooled model. It was still a very fun ride as they improved the chassis a lot over the first editions of 81,82. I was always the enduro bike, mx bike rider but loved my 250r..It was so much fun in the wintertime too. I want to find a decent pair of 350x for a project for my son and I to build someday..they have really gone up in value. oh, I purchased the first year Honda Fourtrax 250r atv as well. The engine was actually slightly detuned over the 86 250r Trike. That thing was an incredible four wheeler. What gets me is to me the old ATC's and early Honda or Suzuki 250 two stroke atvs were safer than any new modern big hp multiple cylinder 4wd quad. It just comes down to their weight. None of the old machines were near 300lbs.!! These new ones,,holy hell they are heavy..One bad accident on a 70mph+ atv that doesn't handle anywhere as easily as the early atc/atvs and your life could be lost very easily...I will stick with the old ones imo.
All i used to ride were trikes.....my dad had a 250sx....n i had a 350x....loves em......couldnt keep rear bearings in mine...too much creek riding but man was it fuckn fast
I use to sandbag the shit out a 350 with my 85 LC 250 r so much fun I had those days are not gone just looking for another ride to top them times 1 in the works is a XR 650 l jammed in to a 350x frame yet to have the money to finish it but it will defiantly be a 250 r eater.
I can't see a stock x doing over 60-65. Mine is an 85 bored .040 over with 10.25 to1compression wiesco piston, port and polish job, DG exhaust, 400ex carb, 14 tooth front sprocket and 40 rear with 23" gbc gators for rear tires. It does 68 mph according to my Garmin gps. Not saying there slow by any means, but no where near 72 mph stock.
R Factor thumb throttle is the only way on a three wheeler, if you use a twist throttle on a trike you are dumb i mean dumb as fuck you have no clue about riding trikes
I am 43 years old and have been riding trikes since I was 9 years old. I have owned 4 1984-1985 Kawasaki Tecate's(twist throttle), 2 1986 Kawasaki Tecate 3's (twist throttle), 2 1987-1988 Kawasaki Tecate 4's(twist throttle), 2 1983-1984 Honda ATC250R's (thumb throttle), 1 1986 Honda ATC250R(thumb throttle) and 3 1985-1986 Yamaha Tri-Z 250R's(thumb throttle). Maybe it's just because I have small hands and short thumbs is why I am biased towards a twist throttle. I think a thumb throttle is ok for me on left hand turns while hanging the rear out but right hand turns in a power slide condition make it difficult for me to reach a thumb throttle. I do tend to like a thumb throttle better on 4 wheelers due to the bump steer trying to jerk the bars out of your hands on whoops and hard trail riding. On a motocross track, with a 3 wheeler, I have always been faster and more comfortable with a twist throttle. Having to lean off the bike while the bike stays upright has never been a problem for me with a twist throttle. I have always preferred it.

Looks like you're trying to mess up the trails for dirtbikes. ATC's and ATC riders both have bad reputations because of this.
