I'm a jeep guy and I'd choose the yota every time lol.
You guys have the best auto reviews out of any channel I've seen on YT, both TFL car and TFL Truck. Keep up the good work! Really digging this little thing, plan on a used evoque or discovery sport in the future
Very good video gentlemen, I am not looking at getting Evoque, but good information for what it is. 👍
Evoque is a more all rounder. Its good for light off road use but excels in bad weather such as PNW weather: heavy rain, snowy/ice(mountains) weather. the 4 runner excels more on the off road but its high suspension and chassis make it an all right streetable car. The high suspension makes it bad handler and unstable at high speeds whereas the evoque can zip(with speed) through the roads in the worst weather condition with ease that is why the wanted to compared the audi with it. Really depends what you are using the car for.

Finally an Honest review without bashing Toyota.
I have a 2015 trail 4-Runner and have no complaints what so ever.
My opinion is the only thing that needs to be upgraded are your tires to match your off road driving conditions.
The tires that come with the truck are basic pavement tires and need to be upgraded.
Tires are one of, if not the most, important part of any driving scenario. So many people seem to either not know or forget this

I pick 4 runner, it is more truck based and I guess you could say tougher. As an added bonus that 4.0 is bullet proof.

love the comparison ! 40k 4 runner 50k rover , the ford motor in the rover for a 50k vehicle is a joke !! 4 runners are one of the only framed suv left and they still last forever !! I think they should put them with the v8 still as a option and get them to be able to tow more than 4700 that would be awesome .

this Range Rover is a good car, if you need decent MPG, to get you from point A too point B with comfort, while looking good. good for light off road and snow. not a bad car over all. Definitely not a hardcore off roader.

The Renegade Trailhawk has better approach / departure angles and thus more confidence off-road.

Except for a few diehards-- I don't see many Range Rovers going extremely offroad especially the Evoque. Let alone off pavement. Now, the Toyota 4Runner -- pure offroader.
Well you guys tried. I'm sick of seeing evoque reviews and just wanna see someone drive and hit some easy/moderate trails so we can see if it's capable. Thank you for this video attempting a trail. So many videos just talk about evoque specs then maybe drive through some grass. No one films mojave etc in evoque

RANGE ROVER EVOQUE VS HONDA VEZEL
Looks like the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk would be better off road than the Land Rover Evoque. The Renegade might be small enough it could squeeze around that rock. What are your thoughts TFLTruck?
The Opinion of Matt Agree, with a 4x4 system and a mechanical Rear diff lock, and a higher ride high, the Cherokee trail hawk is definitely more capable than this. Plus don’t forget the trailhawk come with AT tires and skid plates

I Live in the UK, and i would take the Yota anytime, although Range Rovers Nail the interior comforts and luxury feel, sadly the build quality is not so good, with far too many failures of major components. If I had to take a 10,000 mile road trip of mixed terrain, I would leave the Evoque and take the 4Runner without a second think, even if you gave me a Vogue. the Toyota will get the job done.

Nice to see prejudice and stereotyping alive and well. I've just chopped in my 5.0L Supercharged Range Rover for an Evoque to be a bit more ecologically responsible yet still be able to take mountain bike up some loose gravel hills. Not all Evoque owners are soccer moms (I'm sure some are)
