Thank you ever so much for doing this video. I watched it all. I am handicap and couldn't do this trip and was ever so curious how it looked inside and on the island. You took me all over and now I'm satisfied with your visit.
I've been there in summer 2019 and I can tell you he totally nail it! It's as close as you can be to being there for real. And if you did not you should listen with headphones, the sound is really good and you hear the difference when he change room or pass from outside to inside! Good job from the Silent Walker!
How fantastic for you :)
I visited on a school outing from the uk in the 70s as a child.
Best video on Mont-Saint-Michel ! Loved every minute of it!
This is truly the heritage of time
Thank you SO MUCH for the slowness, the thoroughness and the silence without muting the environmental sounds. From minute 55 I found myself in a meditative state. Thank you.
25 years ago today I was lucky enough to visit this incredible place. What a joy to see this today and be able to relive the thrill I felt then and how much I was in awe of it.
I agree
I LOVE RUclips AND THE INTERNET! You get to travel the world without leaving your home. Thank you, Silent Walker for recording and sharing! Saint Michael is a magical place.
We were there last month, "take a bow" you captured this magical place, thank you. Now I can replay the memories of my mind through your eyes. You are a gifted videographer that captured the intricacies and beauty offered .
We were there, first week of May also...perhaps I’m one of those tourists you videoed!! Fantastic weather, glad it wasn’t cloudy and gray. Keep up the good work, love these crisp colorful videos.
what an awesome video, the pic is very clear and sharp!! awesome!! thank you
It is april 2020, im in Ireland isolated because of covid 19 virus and i have because of your video been able to travel to france to a beautiful place and feel like i was there . Thank you
@Fünf Vorzwölf i am, thank you☘
Easy top 5 locations i've visited. Very nice to see it again. Pictures alone are not enough.
I spent a night there in 1973, before there was a raised walkway. When the tide came rushing in at sundown, an awe-inspiring sight, we were surrounded by the ocean until the tide turned the next morning. A beautiful memory of Europe and the great culture of the Middle Ages.
that's not true
@@eggbenedict5848 Do tell.
@@eggbenedict5848 Still waiting for you to fill in the blanks, Scooper.
@@eggbenedict5848 Hey, Scooper, where'd you go? What is untrue in what I said and how do you know it? Such a weird reply to make about an innocuous story about a place and time you were absent from.
Thank you , this was so enjoyable to view. We watched it on our smart tv. Love that you actually stop to view something long enough to be appreciated. A fan from Canada.
Japanese boy with samurai soul but no ninja skills. Banzai!
With any luck he'll see this video and realize he needs to practice more; he might even use his phone to check his progress : )
Wow, great video showing beautiful view of Mont Saint-Michel. Thank you.
Очень профессионально, масштабно,красочно и интересно!!!
Loved your video. You did an amazing job. I feel like I have been there without walking up all those stairs. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this video! Mont Saint Michel is breathtaking. I hope to see it in person one day! Merci!
C'est le plus beau tour du mont Saint Michel..Le caméraman est excellent.. il nous faut découvrir les coins et les recoins du lieu...nous avons l impression d être au Mont Saint Michel..et de découvrir pour nos propres yeux...Bravooooooo.
Thank you ever so much Silent Walker....I watched the whole film and enjoyed it immensely....I feel as though I had been there with you....You stopped at all the places I myself would have stopped... Thank you again and bless you my brother....
Thank you for this video.. I was beginning to wonder if there was any video out there that just took you on a tour of what the documentaries never show you.. It was a delightful journey.
Great video, I love it ! I went to this place so many times, I unfortunately cannot anymore because from what I've heard, going there has become very complicated, but your video made me feel like I was back to this place ! It is one of my favourite childhood places, so beautiful...
Magical place
Brilliant work my man brilliant work
My old desire came true. I finally went to Mont-Saint-Michel with you. Thank you :)
Thank you for posting this. Very helpful in coping with being cooped up via Covid.
Congratulations! A very good work, I'm fascinated....... Thank you! You are
Very much enjoyed this. I am from a tiny town in Pennsylvania USA-- I would have never seen this. Thank you/
Merci infiniment pour cette visite virtuelle, à voir et à revoir.
Thank you so much. I hope I can go there one of these days. You did a great job.
You're welcome
Thank you for this walk is like magic
Excellent, thank you!
Great! Fabulous! Gracias, es como viajar una vez más allá
1:04 LOL Another great video, thanks!
Thank you for this wonderful tour. You did an excellent job. I too am disabled would have never been able to hand those stairs, sooooo many stairs. It looks much like how I imagined, especially all the restaurants and tourists. My favorite thing about Mont St Michel are the flying buttresses. The abbey isn't too shabby either.
Well, that video deserves a Thumbs Up!! Great scenary
amazing 4k video
Ti ringrazio per avermi dato l'opportunità di visitare questo luogo magico...
Bravo well done! Great Job. Thanks
I with my wife have visited Mont Saint Michel in 2020 March . We have lived in Pontorson.
Merci beaucoup for touring me to Mont saint Michel.Good luck and God bless always..From the Philippines...
Great comprehensive video. The wide angle lens and the gimbal make all the difference in the world. I also liked that you had almost one continuous scene which gave me a much better feel for the place than a bunch of chopped up clips. And you tend to look into every nook and cranny just like I would. I most enjoyed those places where you leaned over the wall and shot down into those tiny courtyards. Fantastic. Thank you very much for sharing.
9:19 First time I went there as a kid I was like thats the real "Diagon Alley" (chemin de traverse) from Harry Potter lool
yeah i remember that harry potter also hahah
thank you so much for this. I was always fascinated by this place, but knew I could never see, until now.
Your videos are the best ! Can’t stop watching them
Adding your marvelous walks to my travel list thank you
Amazing place. Amazing video.
Wonderful place. I'll be there someday

Superbe! More Normandie also please!

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
so amazing, ty very much
Love this very much!
This was nice.
what a joy to watch on my 4k oled tv.
been there, and done the climb through the narrow streets, nice to see it all again! Its a nice escape from the total Covid-19 isolation i'm currently in. Thanks for making this video!
Great video! I came here following a documentary on Mont-Saint-Michel. I hope the shops and restaurants are ok!
marvelous...
The torture wheel is crazy. It’s just crazy that they strapped people to it and spun them around like that.
if you think of the wheel at 1:11:09 , it's not a torture wheel, it's the mecanism of the lift for fournitures and stuffs....
One of the most stunning pieces of archichecture on the planet. Who needs Avatar when you have it right here on earth.
Whenever I see Medieval places I think about the Great Pestilence and how it shook up the World.
I watch the video today and think about how a great pestilence has shaken us up currently
@@roxborotomm 50% - 70% death rate during the Black death in the mid 1300 hundreds! Some towns experienced 100% death rate. Today I think we're experiencing 2% - 3% death rate. I think we are lucky compared to world of the past.
@@Olivierantain Yes. Correct. The 2% - 3% death rate I cite above is from confirmed infections. The general death rate is much lower.
Beautiful video. What camera did you use? Please share details. Thank you and keep doing what you are doing.
Great!!!!
Thank you to make and post this video. For many decades I dreamed to visit the beautiful St Michael but your video satisfied me and saved me a trip as I have no interest to go to a so cloudy place. Too many tourists, perhaps a few less after quarantine... who knows?
I've been here in October 2019, one of the most magical medieval places I've visited..thanks to your video I can revive the experience 💓... question..what do you use for filming?
J'étais ici et j'ai adoré, en 1971. Merci de m'avoir permis de revenir, en 2021. EDIT: Brit, now in USA, but at the time was living in Belgium. Salut!
Great vid
Beautiful. I wish the rooms were staged--so I can get an idea of what they were used for. It would mean so much more.
Thanks for the amazing video! Now I don’t have to spend money to go there.
12:08 the girl speaking softly to her baguette
Holy cow the video quality is amazing. What camera do you use? Or is this edited with a software?
heyy! thank you soooo much for showing this! this is one in my bucketlist.i hope could visit FRANCE soon... why theres no narration hmmn? heheh
How is the go pro attached to you? Seems wonderfully unnoticed which makes for a very realistic experience.
Thank you for the tour. Can you say something of what camera you used for this nice video walk?
Hello! another great video, if you don't mind me asking what camera was this shot with?
Silent Walker nice was that wide or super view? Love the videos!
Nice video.
i have clicked LIKE ND SUBCRIBED AND SHARED ALREADY.. you deserve a kiss!! hhahahaa thank you for this!
thank you
Thank you. I’d never get there by myself
I think I visited this place when I was very young. Can hardly remember. This is a nice viewing. What camera was used for this?
Thanks so much for the wonderful movie. I know and love Mont Saint Michel well. I was there 13 years ago and now I have been there again thanks to this wonderful film. You very accurately and competently built a travel route and showed all the most important. Congratulations. Can I use fragments of your film to prepare a video tour in Russian? Good luck and new films.
@@Olivierantain Thank you very much. I will try to make both beautiful and meaningful. I really liked shooting the GoPro Hero 7 camera. I want to purchase it. Advise?
Great quality footage but tbf this castle looks much more impressive from the outside than from the inside (with few exceptions).
I went there with my parents in 1988. Didn't know what it was. Nobody told me where we were going. The thing just popped up out of nowhere as we were driving
down the coast and I asked what the hell the small dot on the horizon was?
I'm not sure if they'd planned for us to go there, but I said "Let's go there" and so we did. It was only after we got there that my parents revealed that they knew of the place.
So we went inside. Had a look around. Wrestled with tourists as we climbed to the top. Walked down again. Left. And that was it.
Yeah...
guys i just saved money by watching this instead of a trip there :D, felt like i was there myself muahhaha
Do any buses use the walkway? Seems like a long walk just to get there
I want to know how it is to live there from the residents. Does anybody know of any video containing that?
On occasion I will visit this magnificent place. Did you realize that it is a labyrinth?
what's your camera equipment?
big brazilian fan here! say hello to us!
I wonder what kind of gears u use.
Is that kings landing from GOT ?
Love the man there 39:30, nope no shopping!
The Ingenuity
How much does the entrance cost?
for the abbaye, 11 euros, 18 if you take a guide. The town is free, but if you have to park your car it can be expansive : there are few free publics parkings but they are often crowded. for the privates ones, maybe something like 15 to 20 euros for the day.
