Love these same but different cards and the fact that you show that you don't have to copy someones idea but that you can make it your one by making different variations , they are all gorgious. The one with the little skier is my favorite.

I like all the cards and I found it interesting to use the same color with every one.
I will often use the same colours for a set of cards because they match (and can be given as a set) and because it means I don't have to think about what colours to use. It makes the creative process faster, but you could certainly change them up to use whatever colours you want. Thanks for your lovely visit, Michelle!

I do enjoy sketches, and rarely enjoy making more than 4 repeats of the same card - so your variations on the sketch make perfect sense to me. My favorite is the skier and mountains, but I adore those jumbo bells, too.
I am so totally with you... I would say making the same card 2 times would be my limit lol. A sketch is a great option as you can use any of your stamps. I could have easily made 12 cards with this sketch! Thanks so much for your lovely visit here today!

Well I guess we called them bells because when I was a little gal, a very long time ago! They were shaped like bells. People say baubles too. I always thought baubles was a funny word…..a bit posh. Tee heee.

It wasn't til I started on CASE this Sketch that I realised that I could create with them. I love that they make me look at my stamps differently, because I am starting with the design first instead of colour or image.

Another wonderful set of cards in your same but different series Therese, these are all gorgeous. I love the idea of keeping strictly to the limited colour palette and the clean and simple design with lots of white space really allows you some creative licence almost…. Excellent. Thank you so much, Orla! With the same colour palette and the same basic layout (the thinking was done) and it was just a matter of grabbing the stamps I wanted to use. Then the cards came together very quickly after that.
I have never used a sketch, but now see the purpose and it does make sense. Love all five of the cards. I would say that the poinsettia is my absolute favorite. Only because I love those at the holiday time. TFS and great job!
Me too Anne, I love me a Poinsettia for Christmas too! And yes, it took me a while to appreciate the power of a sketch, it's like starting opposite to the way that I usually create lol. But it's truly the basics!

Thes cards are very inspiring Therese. I love them all and particularly the colour scheme. It tells me that even if I only have small images I can still make very elegant cards. To answer one of your questions, I don't use sketches, because I have a hard time translating them into my own design. This was a helpful exercise, to see different ways to interpret one sketch. THANKS!!!
Hi Ann, I also struggled with sketches until I worked them out in my head and being able to look at a sketch and fit your own images and colours into that instead of the other way around really helped me to balance out and prethink my designs so much better. That was my fave too, and the closest to the sketch! I struggled with sketches until I joined CASE this Sketch challenge and it really helped me to look at 'design' rather than start with an image and or a colour combo. It felt like I turned my mind around lol.

You've brought me right back to my beginnings, Therese! I just loved playing at CASE this Sketch and being on that team was a dream come true for me! You've really stretched the sketch of Michelle's card so beautifully! Can you guess my favorite? I'll give you a hint it starts with P and ends in amazing!! x
Hahaha so glad you liked the Poinsettia my friend x AND yes, this did bring back memories of the CASE this Sketch. When Jacqui asked me to join I remember having a panic attack as I was a 'colour' girl and had never created with sketches before. But she said I could do it... And she was right, it really helped me to open my eyes to look at the design of the card rather than the elements. A much easier way to get balance and to use multiple supplies in a different way.

I have a friend who was discharged home from hospital last week. She is now in a wheelchair, and was a standing crafter, and she was saying just how different crafting felt for her when sitting in a chair. My battles are small indeed, sending crafty hugs your way Tx
