Thanks Paul. Another great video with lots of information and tips. I just wish it wasn't Winter here in Australia at the moment, otherwise I would be out giving paste another try. By the way, I also used to have problems with the wind causing noise through the microphone. You can buy a thing which is often referred to as a "Dead Cat" which is actually a furry wind shield which fits over the head of the microphone and stops the problem completely. If you can't buy one for your microphone, they are easy to make if you have some furry material lying around. Just cut a small piece out and stitch it into a tube which fits tightly over the head. (Stitch it inside out and then push it back through itself). I know you sometimes watch my videos, so just have a quick look at one and you will see what I mean. It will help enormously when you come to do the actual fishing video. Cheers mate.

Another great video, it's good to know that paste works on silt! I will definitely give that a try next time when it starts fizzing.

Glad you enjoyed it. I think the next one showing the float bobbing around, as it does with paste, of interest.

Well explained Paul. I had trouble with the float tangling so I tied a .5gm float & put a .3gm sliding olivette on the rig line. This then slides between the float and the hook length. This allows the rig to form a "u" shape & doesn't tangle. You can then position your pot anywhere on the top section. Hope this helps. Regards Peter

I’ve tried the olivette method a few times but always come back to nothing on the line. Not saying I’m right but it’s what works for each individual.

Hi Paul, thanks for the great video. Just wondered where you got the shotting tube from? Thanks again.

I don’t think it was designed as a shotting tube - I got it from IKEA, it’s very handy.
