Jin I have always calculated armhole depth from chest measurement and it always worked! The other formula is based not only on chest measurements but also on height too.
Ok WOW that was awesome, clear and understandable. I have to make a tailored men's blazer for a designer as a sample and your video is super clear on how to draw the pattern. I am definitely subscribing!!
Thank you very much I watched many videos it is very helpful for me excuse me I visited your website but I didn't find (armhole depth chart) , could you guide me how can I reach for it please ? thank very much again
Thank you so much! You are so good at explaining. May I ask what software you use to create your own patterns? I have been struggling to make a basic men's bodice for the longest time. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am having a hard time comprehending how to give the back between the shoulders more height and space... it always ends up too tight. basically the relationship between the arm hole and giving more space in the back... I don't get it!
Hi I'm using PAD system for pattern drafting. And about the men's body, I don't think I understood your question. If you’re on Facebook, join my Facebook group "pattern making professionals" and post your questions with simple drawings. Then it will be way easier to understand and give you feedback. It's just hard to communicate with only text.
Hello Jin, thanks for making pattern work look so simple. Wanted to ask if a person has a hip which is more than the allowance you added to the chest, what do you do?
You radiate such joyful vibes. Thank you for your smiles. 😊
Oh, thank you 😊

Awesome 💯 but I don't get the inch thing 😢 have to Google what's 10inch to cm 😤
Sorry... my latest videos have inches and centimeters together.
1inch is equal to 2.54 cm.
Hello Jin, thanks for making pattern work look so simple. Wanted to ask if a person has a hip which is more than the allowance you added to the chest, what do you do?
Hi Akuoko, keep your chest and add to hip. To make seams nicely curved, you can add waist a little. But you don't have to increase chest.
Thanks ma'am
My pleasure 😊
Thanks u for your method, can you make another video for 6 pieces women 's blazer, plz ?
Hi, yes, I'll have a chance to do that. Thanks!!
@@PatternStudio101 Many thanks, I'll love it
Please I will like to know what application you use to draft pattern on the computer
I'm using PAD system And I have program tutorial videos on my channel.
@@PatternStudio101 oh, that's great... I will check them out... I just discovered your channel today ..
Very wonderful work you are doing ma'am
Can I use the same technique for a women's blazer?
Yes, you can. It's going to be a loose fit blazer for women because there’s no bust dart.
How can I get the Back length, hip length?
You measure the body. Center back neck to the waist is the back length. Waist to the hip line is hip length.
