To anyone who wants to export standalone with external keyboards, go in the MPC and sequence your track, keep your audio set to IN and press record so that the audio track records your sounds from your keyboard, then when you want to export, set the audio setting to AUTO or OFF and it will bounce your recorded audio with your drum or sample tracks. You can record the audio per sequence and then use song mode, or convert all the sequences into one and just record all the audio in one pass. You don’t get nearly as much flexibility to mix this way but you can make clean sounding mixes in the MPC standalone defintely. I hope this helps and if I missed anything or made a mistake let me know 👍
Nice setup brother! I am lucky that over the years I built out a pure analog studio. I still use the MPC 4000 as the brains of the studio because of the 8 analog outs which go into my analog mixer (Toft 32). I have 2 Pro tools native HD interfaces which go into the Toft 32 which gives me 32 channels of analog. On the Toft I use the inserts to route out to external analog compressors. I split the Toft meaning I use 16 channels for tracking and the other channels I use for both tracking and sending signals out to external processors i.e delay, chorus and reverbs. On the sub groups on the Toft I route out to external EQ's and on the 2 channel I use the Neve Master Bus Processor .I also use external pre's for bass, vocals and guitars. When I first built the studio I added Studer, Otari and Tascam tape desks. The flow is Toft, into 16 channel Tascam into Pro tools and I use the MPC 4K to sync to Pro tools, I use the Otari to check mixes and the Studer A810 as the final stage. When I started building my studio over 10 years ago plugins where not as advance as they are now, plus I am old school :) I come up in the days of tape machines. I still use my Yamaha SX 6 its still a beast as you stated. I just added they Akai Key 61 for the faster work flow, but I will never get rid of my MPC 4K, the wonderful thing about my studio similar to yours is I can run everything out side the box. I use Pro Tools for editing etc. I use the Juno 106, JP8000 and other Roland rack modules.I am in the process of looking for a larger space as I want to upgrade to a Neve console. Yes I could trim down the fat as they say, but for me the beauty of having a hybrid studio is I get the best of both worlds and like I said I grew up in large recording studios back in the day and I enjoy using mixing consoles and hardware, for me its the love of putting yourself into the music when you can push a real fader and turn actual knobs! Nothing wrong with doing everything in the box but for me the joy of using hardware is still a passion for me.
Can you do a quick video one day of the setup with the Roland Fantom and the MPC to work seamlessly? I just bounce out wav's from the Fantom and load them from a flash drive into the MPC
I'm using MPC One,Korg minilogue, Roland JV90,Arturia 61key w/Lab5 pro( standalone mode)I prefer playing alot of the keys part live so that human feel is there
Didn't know the MPC was all that good being a central hub. I've heard quite a few problems about sending & receiving midi data (that I personally can't confirm). But then again from the look of it, you're hooking up just the audio of the other machines.
@@timothysoprano140 Look around, mate. How often do you see MPCs as the central hub of hardware setups compared to the likes of Digitakt, Beatstep Pro, or any dedicated sequencer?
You’re always 1 step ahead. I don’t have an ex I have the 6 and Juno and motif xs rack and nautilus and Sub37. I never thought about running the motif through the Fantom.
That's a really good setup. I'm thinking of doing the same thing. But, I need it to be semi-portable. I'm trying to choose whether to pair a GAIA 2 synth or a Roland SH-4d synth with my mpc one plus. I'm wondering which would be better as far as portability and the variety of sounds that can be used or made.
Namah Shivay, Sir Thank You Very much for sharing Standalone setup Audio Routing, if possible please share MIDI ROUTING, Thank You Very Much , Waiting 🙏
Thanks for that Bolo. How do you find working with the MPC up high on the stand? I think I may have mentioned, I'm using an MPC Keys 61, so I intend to have this on the bottom tier (since I spend the most time editing there), then with a Fantom EX 6 mounted above on an angle. I'll have to move my mixer and korg wavestate off to one side as I cant fit a 3rd tier on my stand. I use a mixer because I also record guitar to the MPCand it makes routing darn easy. Also I have other stuff I plug in for jams, like bass and extra keys. Ergonomics is allways a pain in the arse!
Thanks for the forecast! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
My Dude! Was than an Avalon compressor under the Apollo that you didn't mention or showcase? I've been wanting an Avalon ever since I heard the term "Vacuum Tube Compression" back in the late 90s! He did a video on this before, basically, if you dont have an MPC, the advantages of the SE is 4 gb of ram and a fair chunk of the paid plugins as part of the purchase. Personally, I think the extra ram is HIGHLY overrated and the plugins honestly can all be had on sale if you are patient for much less than the price difference between an x and SE. Personally, I find the price difference between the Live 2 and X or SE to be too significant to justify the purchase. You can get a very good condition Live 2 now for $600 and you wont be finding an x or SE for under $1500 used. The additional IO offered by the X can be obtained in the form of additional gear, so unless you really just want a device that does it all in one and have $1000 to burn, the Live 2 is fantastic. Heck, the Force can be had for $600 now in very good condition and if you arent considering a Force right now, you are missing out.
