I really do love the box art on this MOTU Origins line. It truly takes me back. They have done an astounding job overall recreating the toyetic aspects of the original line along with the nostalgia fans like ourselves want. Shame about the stickers. They have definitely had some quality control issues along the way. Still quite a nice upgrade on this version. I’m glad you have also enjoyed the line!
This is definitely worth picking up, I found this several months ago at my local Big Lots store in the US for $19.98. I assume Mattel overproduced it and that's why they are now available at various places for discount prices, but whatever the case it's a fantastic vehicle! Thanks for sharing a video about it!👍
I don't collect MOTU but this looks so cool, and so reminiscent of the tech displayed in the 1930's Flash Gordon serial that I've ordered one to customise - I can just see Buster Crabbe at the controls! :)
The Origins line is really great. I am not a MOTU collector but I did end up getting a few figs. And I agree. As good as the line is, they could be a little better
This is a nice ship, bit the vehicle I really think is amazing as toy, is Stridor. Because it now has articulation, it is a heck of fun for a kid to play with.
You can actually clip off the grey stand from the green rocky one, so it can be placed on top of Castle Grayskull (as Talon Fighter sort of), as shown in the back of the box (with no text to clarify that in the non-English variants).
I still have my vintage wind raider with its box, and I have the origins ones. Both are pretty cool (and the origins wings won’t break as easily as with the old one) it’s really a great toy
I definitely love this toy. I played with my childhood wind raider so much there isn't much left of it. Lol the new one is spectacular in my opinion. I do agree with what you said about the stickers, and the way He-Man just kind of bounces around in the cockpit. Maybe you could find some way of repairing the stickers, and adding some type of restraint system to keep him in the seat better without modifying the toy from its Original state. That would make for a pretty cool video in my opinion. I have no doubt you could come up with something. As always Dave thank you for all you do. Have a Blessed Day.
I do wish they gave you the vintage sticker sheet and maybe a different sticker sheet for a villain. Maybe Triklops themed. When i was a kid Triklops would steal the wind raider from Man at Arms to copy it for Skeletor. 😊
Good review. If you pull the display stand post out of the green base, the post can be mounted on one of the battlements of Castle Grayskull, which makes for a nice display/storage option. Do you have He-Man fully seated? He won't wobble if hes completely in the seat, its a 2 tiered 'cushion', and it looks like you have him up too high. Lastly, your stickers can be fixed: Reprolabels/Toyhax made a set for Wind Raider, and its a very good.
This is a great review…. The origins one is too big for my liking but does looks great…. Although with origins the best part in any of the toys is the box art…. Perfection
Looks pretty nice, really! A shame about those stickers. I'm with you. I'd rather have a sticker sheet that allowed me to appIy the stickers myself! I wonder if you could make a plastic seat belt that pegs back into the seat to keep a figure from sliding around? Perhaps you could think of something for that if you felt so compelled someday?
Cool video just bought one 2 weeks ago for 19,98$ at my local toys R Us its used to be 49,99$ got a few figs and castle greyskull so its a cool addition to my small MOTU collection one of the coolest vehicles of the serie
I'm also waiting on the point dread to go on clearance not many gonna give 40.00 bucks for it.i got my wind raider at ollies for under 20.00 bucks .just a waiting game .good video
I think the newer one is better because the proportions are more fitting. Yes, the figure sits loose, which they should've thought about a bit more, but at least the arms aren't out of the vehicle which makes it look like the figure is "wearing" the wind raider 😂
Quick question i have always wondered about do you know why the Attak Trak original toy line from BITD looks nothing like the Cartoon version ? And did they ever make an origins cartoon version in the modern day ?
@@toypolloi Malaysia Aeon retail. *lmao* Big discount now. There's 3 wind raider and 3 or 4 more prince adam's sky sled at that price as of now at my area. Probably more elsewhere in other Aeon retail away from the one nearest to me. I am hesitant to buy the MOTU vehicle line, the he-man figure is sufficient for me. No more space in my room. I would think the sky sled is more worth the money because it comes with prince adam figure.

I do collect the line and yes they could be a little better. They do have there really good ones though.

I actually got this for the Masterverse line and they fit perfectly in it.
I found one of these at my local Ollie's for $13. It's actually designed to display on one of the parapets of the new Castle Greyskull.

The vehicle on the side of the box is an early design for the vintage BattleRam. Are they gonna make it? Good question 🤔

I just started to collect he-man and if I see the wind raider I will drop everything else and buy it.😃
Thanks for sharing Dave 😎
A figure that has two gripping hands doesn't have the problem.

I own this too, and I also had issue with the stickers, annoying, but I love this vehicle.
Nice review. It is so much bigger than the original

The stand attaches to grayskull its a nice item fits masterverse

Very nice!
Never saw the original version until I saw your video
Both versions are nice
Thanks!
remember the original very well
I really want to take one and make the Evil Warriors version from the box art.
Nice review, think I might go and see if I can find a cheap one.
I had issues with the decals out the box as well, some were already coming off.
I’d love to get one to add lights😊
Great review, I have not opened mine as of yet. I'm waiting for my son to get a bit older.
You think they will do Cyclone at any time in vintage origins style?
I love my vintage wind raider but I love my origins one too

Toyhax has a good sticker set for this.

Check out the battle ram blog. They cover the toys origins there. Cheers

Rule #1: Never complain about the size of a toy!
😁
So epic and awesome toys ❤❤❤😊
There are way too many lines and toys for this franchise in quick succession for these to do well. TMNT has like 7 different lines going now too
I can get this at under 10 pounds at retail now.
Where is that?
