I’m t2. Been on insulin for 20+ years. I’m on Jardiance, Metformin, and Glipizide, along with 45 units of Baslagar daily. Also using a cgm now. I see hardly any sugar rise with eggs, slight rise with steel ground oats, moderate rise with Wheaties, and a 100 point sharp spike with Cheerios. I don’t use the recommended portion sizes. I use half and add strawberries or blueberries. The oats are the best option for me but I get bored of them quickly.
yess fiber one is great not just for cereal but you can bake with it i usually have it with unsweetened almond milk with yogurt like a parfait or with pudding also i add it to chocolate for a crunch
I gave up on Magic Spoon and Catalina Crunch because they're expensive and the bags are barely half full. I make steel cut oats in batches and have that 10 days a month. I also have Nature's Path cereal with Stevia and blueberries. Walking after breakfast helps keep the blood sugar down.
Thank you so much. It is very helpful especially for choosing the right cereal for diabetics. Looking forward for more videos on how to manage diabetes. More power and God bless.
Avoid all cereals! It’s an ultra processed product I don’t consider food. If you want to reverse insulin resistance and reverse your diabetes eat really low carb whole foods you cook at home like eggs and bacon. Intermittent fasting helps as well. You don’t need to eat all the time.
I can eat 15g oatmeal (old fashioned not the quick cook kind) and its ok on my 2 hour blood sugar but nothing else no other options. I'm on Basal insulin and dose before eating plus metformin still cereal is terrible for my blood sugar.
All cereals spike my b/s ! Even oats. I've spent years working on my diet as a T2 and I don't think I produce enough insulin (as apposed to insulin resistance); so for the last 2 years I have been on a low carb diet.
Thanks for the video, I will start eating the Fiber One. Just wondering, though. You indicted that you make a "Trail Mix" which includes dried fruit. I read that dried fruit is terrible for diabetics.
It has a higher protein content with less carbs than traditional cereals, so it should have a more minimal impact on blood sugar ...if you enjoy the taste & the price point works for you, go for it :)
No way cereal will fit into my carb intake. I limit myself to a max of 12 carbs total per day. I don't eat any carbs for my breakfast but if I did I believe I'd chop up a mix of nuts (almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, roasted pumpking seeds) and pour some heavy whipping cream or a mix of cream and skim milk over the nuts. Perhaps add a couple of blueberries to the mix. Probably five to six carbs per oz.
I LOVE magic spoon. Expensive as HELL! but willing to pay the price. favs are fruity and frosty. I use unsweetened almond milk and ONE stevia packet when needed. but usually not. I miss cream of rice, but have yet to find a low carb alternative- THAT DOESNT TASTE LIKE CRAP!
Help. I have 0stage 3 renal failure HTN diverticulitis and now type 2 diabetes. Yes I have other medical problems but the ones listed affect my diet the most please give me information. I'm sick of salad
Very annoying this breaking down of why and why not. Just tell us which is best. We can't understand all the words. We get sleepy listening to why and why not. Just tell us which.
True. But i have to mix it up once a week with a bowl of cereal. Cheerios is my go-to cereal as s type 2 diabetic. Boring but i put some blueberries on top. Cheerios is very low in sugar.
i thought this would be where you just name the best ereals and show us the grams on the side of the box instead of talking and confusing us new diabetics even more then we already are

I am so glad it was helpful!
If you eat cereal it will raise your blood sugar.
I use Rice crispies the generic or Rice Chex or Fiber one
It’s important to remember that if you don’t like what you’re eating, you won’t stick to your diet. 6 years of WW taught me that.
I bought cascading organic whole grains farmland ceral 2 different ones alot of fiber and 12 grams sugar.2dia😊
12 g of sugar is a lot!

I have cinnamon, cereal and blueberries
Is premier protein cereal good for diabetics?

How about TOTAL?
What about All Bran?

Beat Diabetes! Is a great youtube channel to educate you about meals that help you control your spikes.
Cheerios is the perfect cereal for me.
Very annoying this breaking down of why and why not. Just tell us which is best. We can't understand all the words. We get sleepy listening to why and why not. Just tell us which.
The best cereal for diabetes is NO cereal. Eggs and bacon 🥰🥓🥓🥓
Eggs yes.
But don’t make the bacon dark brown and crispy!!!
That creates dangerous AGEs, which are carcinogenic chemicals.
She’s probably paid for by the cereal corporate ultra processed junk foods or glyphosate grain manufacturers.

bacon isn’t good for anyone
@@quincee3376there’s better options than cheerios but that’s ok
I bought chex chocolate ceral..with alot of fiber low sugars

You should grind those All Bran Buds into a low glycemic index, high fiber flour
What about raisin bran
Raisins are high on the glycemic scale they will spike blood sugars
Not too useful, lots of very spendy items. Not many favorites or budget items.
No malt o meal choices. That would be more useful.
Our stores don't carry magic spoons..
She didn't name the cereals.
You could have said this in half the time. You must like to hear yourself.
Took 6 minutes to get to the point
HEY MOM LISTEN, IS THOSE CEREALS HARD ON YOUR TEETH TO CRUNCH, AND BITE IN TO?
Magic Spoon is the absolute WORST cereal I’ve ever eaten.
Add milk and you get a mushy tasteless mess.
Add water and you can use it to make cement.
I get ceral every month i have tasteos .i have.honey BUNCH of os..i have a lot of special k
Too long winded, just list them!!!! I only eat rice crispees for my bk cereal!!!!!
special k zero
