Man. There was a time period where Vader was literally the most feared wrestler in the world. He was on the cover of every wrestling magazine for ages. But when WWF got ahold of him, it's like they didn't know what to do with him and just jobbed him out, and booked him horribly. How the mighty had fallen.
I don't think it can be overstated just how much of a tonal whiplash going from that Luna/Goldust segment to the Karate Fighters tournament was. I had to visit a doctor to make sure my neck wasn't broken.

I've been waiting for this episode since this series started! I was in the audience in Roanoke for this Raw taping. It was my first WWF show and it's still one of the greatest nights of my life, hahaha. It was mind-blowing to me as a 12 year old. Thanks for all your hard work on the show! Watching from the start this is the first episode that I remember when you started the war series that this “big bratwurst of a man” is NOT on the show. So sad yet I know what is coming. @@kevinpayton2664 I know WCW fell off completely by 2000 so the war was basically over, but WWF's 2000 product was amazing by itself with Jericho, Tazz, The Radicalz, etc.
@@SEGAHEADDY I think that the WWF in 1999 was better than WCW for the most part but you're right about 2000. WCW was barely hanging on and the WWF was having one of its best years ever.
Ugh I am so glad I missed this part of gold dust's career. More glad I missed this part of Sean Michael's career too. But all those nwo dq's had me on the brink with my wcw tolerance at the time.
