- The plaintiff says she’s known the defendant since she was a child and always looked out for her. She claims her former friend began stalking her and spreading rumors that she used crack. She’s suing her for property and harassment. The defendant says the plaintiff acts holier than thou, but she’s actually sleeping with a pastor’s wife. She’s countersuing her former roommate for a security deposit, rent, and emotional distress.

I think the defendant bringing up the plaintiff's private sex life was an attempt to show the plaintiff's true character. However, clearly, it had nothing to do with the case and did nothing more than seem to work against her in court.

That doesn't negate what you identify as religiously, nor does it make you a "bad" practitioner. The only thing it does is prove that you are human and that you have room to improve yourself. That change may be for yourself or for your love of the deity/religion. That's up to the individual. But in saying that, if you also believe in the same religion, you should not give others perceived failings or poor choices as a reason to mock or belittle them. Treat others the way you wish to be treated.

I feel sorry for the plaintiff, sounds like she tried helping everyone out and it caused her life to spiral. Not sure why she attacked thay man but it sounds like she did her time. This is why I am grateful I have never had to have roomates. The closet thing to a roommate was my sister and we both treated our shared apartment like a sacred place. We respected each other, ourselves and our home. These young ladies will hopefully learn to at least respect themselves enough to not look like elder bashing banshees on national television.
