After hearing from many learned men and preachers about how they were not really sure how this worked I did a study of this whole scenario and what I found was the Bible says that there is no one , no, not even one that seeks after God. The only way that someone seeks after God is if God draws them. The part of God that does the ‘ drawing ‘, the speaking to your heart, your innermost being and convinces you to pursue after God is the Holy Ghost. The only way someone can have forgiveness- salvation - is to put your all on the Lord Jesus. Period. The only way you will ever come to putting your all on Jesus is if the Holy Ghost talks you into it first. If you have bad thoughts or ideas about Jesus then the Holy Ghost will still talk to you and change your mind. If you have bad thoughts or ideas about the Holy Ghost - the one trying to talk to you, then you will not want to listen to him and therefore never be talked into trusting Jesus as your Messiah and most certainly are in danger of never being forgiven ( salvation )
Reject Jesus - the Holy Ghost will keep working on you.
Reject the Holy Ghost - who else is going to talk to you?
Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is total rejection of the Holy Ghost as well as Jesus the Savior. You are not going to do well

Hello Michael,I was just retired a few months. My mom passed before I retired in 2015. I turned 62 that year. I reached up to move the bible and see what movie was under it. I'd done that two or three time I can remember. I blew off the cover and leafs to put it back where I found it. What I did was for the first time. I wondered what was in it. I'd only started to read once before.Gobledegoop. I picked it back up 20 or more years later. I didn't know where to start.I finally started in Matthew.I felt emotion in What is st john. I'd heard God called you to him. He'd been there all along just waiting. The more I read, the more I substantiated what I felt. Thank you God.

I like simplicity. I think the simplest way to put this with a full understanding is to know this. God loves us and he wants all of us to be with him.
Yet he loves us so much, he gave us a choice. If we love God back, we will be with him. If we don't, we chose to be separated from him.

  • @jelleepit
    @jelleepit 4 года назад +20

This is pure logic. If the One who is responsible for bringing you to repentance is the One you reject then you have no other way of being saved. It is really simple. In the case of the Pharisees, they were so filled with pride that they were prepared to call the Holy Spirit satan in order to turn the people against Christ and regain control of the situation. Their hearts were so seared that there was no longer any way for God to reach them.

I know that the devil uses these verses to scare Christians into believing they've done this as a way to get them to walk away. I believe that blaspheme against the the Holy Spirit is total rejection of God and His spirit to the point where you cannot believe at all. If you care about Jesus, if you think that you have committed this sin, then you have not. The people that do this don't even care that they have or not. Their hearts are too hard to accept Jesus. However, if Christ will accept satan worshipers if they repent, then I wouldn't worry about this.

A statement was made on sin, this is what crossed my mind. 1John 5:16-17
If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life-to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

I just worked at a small conference put on by an organization called Save the Storks who work to educate people, provide resources, and end abortion. One of the key note speakers was a fairly influential ex-abortion doctor who has repented and has done so much good, and after hearing his testimony and what has happened in his life and work, it is VERY clear he has repented and is forgiven. This man has done so much to spread the word about this and has clearly been converted by God to be used in that battle. To hear him talk about his feelings regarding his past life is absolutely heart breaking but inspiring at the same time because it demonstrated God's ability to work in the lives of the broken. Sir, I respect your ministry but I do NOT agree with what you are saying about these men. They are broken and need to repent, but I do NOT believe they are beyond saving or forgiveness if they repent and turn to God for forgiveness.

Certainly in the context - blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would be to attribute the works/miracles of Christ to the devil (read it for yourself). The ONLY unforgivable sin a person can commit is to die having never trusted Christ and His work on their behalf. Sin is sin - we have to be careful to not subjectively determine in our own mentality who can or cannot be saved. God is judge and He will certainly judge in that day absolutely and objectively.

If I truly believe that I have committed blasphemy against the Holy Ghost...like, to the point where I can point to a day and an hour where I absolutely felt something change for the worse in my heart, and things have not been the same since...whereas I once felt extremely convicted over different portions of Scripture and such, now I just feel cold inside...like, I should be weeping about this right now, but honestly...nothing...and yet I know that I do want to be saved and follow Christ...but a part of me honestly wonders if that might just be because I feel like I no longer CAN...Is there ever a point where I should just stop crying out to God for mercy, and just accept what I fear might be my reality? I honestly don't want to stop crying out, even if it means always being in turmoil in my life, because I always think basically "Well, where else am I going to turn to?"...But I just don't really know anymore. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated.

What the Pharisees did and what you did is totally different. If you think you said something about the third man of the holy trinity and you regretted it it’s not with the Pharisees did. The Pharisees saw that Jesus Christ is using the power of the Holy Spirit to perform holy miracles. They attribute it to an evil source because they wanted to discredit Jesus Christ. They accuse Jesus of using a non-holy source right to his face as he was doing miracles. This sin cannot be replicated Today

That was a beautiful story you told at the end. The man had, indeed, blasphemed the HS; yet, despite this and despite the Bible saying that he is now eternally damned, it turns out that is not true! Is that because of the sacrifice that Jesus made, or does even Jesus' sacrifice need a boost to make this happen? Either way, I am happy that there is sort of a "Manual Override" and that the blasphemy of the HS can actually be wiped away. But then, I wonder how is it different than regular sin? God hates regular since less? I wonder if it's possible that Jesus sacrifice was actually not "perfect," but yet requires the fulfillment of the ages. It seems complicated, but you make it simple. The Holly Spirty cannot actually be PERMANENTLY blasphemed!! Thank You,k Jesus! Thank you even more Holy SPirit. And God, too. Thank You!

Blasphemy is to slander God and that which is Holy.
Many people blaspheme when they misrepresent God presenting Him as someone He is not.
They also blaspheme if they use God and His name for their own gain.
God may forgive ignorance but when one speaks about God they should be Fearful knowing God is judging their words and heart.

Great message! I have a little bit of a differing view.
    John 16:8 (NKJV)
And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
    1 Timothy 4:1-2 (NKJV)
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron
I used to struggle constantly that by some unknowable way I had or was going to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Then my thinking was transformed.
The Spirit's job is to make everyone aware by an inward sense that something they are doing is wrong. A person then chooses to fight that holy, good feeling KNOWING that it is good and gives themselves over to evil completely. This is the blasphemy.
I have met church members who seem to be in this camp. I have seen unspeakable evil done to the victims of sexual abuse by the congregation and treat the abuser as a brother and most are unconcerned. In danger of blasphemy I'd say.

  • @5crownsoutreach
    @5crownsoutreach 3 года назад +2

Hold on. Their sinful actions keep them from coming to God? No. Paul tells us, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that he is the "chief of sinners" and he was brought to God. So this verse is not about the kind of sin but against the kind of forgiveness. If the forgiveness of sin by the Spirit of Christ becomes their enemy, what forgiveness can they have? This is the risk the author of the book of Hebrews talks about: going back to belief in the Jewish system of forgiveness of sin rather than the forgiveness Christ offers through the Spirit.

You say many times to read it for yourself, however we do and need another's interpretation or additional understanding of a subject or passage. Sometimes, you say that we can read and figure it out for ourselves, sure at times, but we ask because we dont understand something so we are asking you. If you dont want us to ask, then let us know as well please.

When I was still an atheist I was with a group of people raised in catholic faith but not active in it who mentioned about the Conception & they say it was by " Work and grace of the HOLY SPIRIT" but then wanting to wonder how "that could be ???" one person said a morbidity sexualizing comment of how it occurred trying to be silly...I didn't think too much about it then & I didn't participate in the conversation....
My question is : Is this person lost forever ? or does it mean that "unforgivable" that the person will be punished.... there's another case of a lady that an evangelizing team came to her town and for them to leave she went door-to-door telling her fellow locals that they were full of evil spirits which led to them that evangelizing team having to leave earlier than expected.
This lady later accepted JESUS became a typical pious christian but had arthritis or something which coincides roughly around the time it began was after her "door-to-door campaign" against that evangelizing team.
    Comments anyone ?

Watching your videos this is the second thing i have done, and if I understand it correctly that I will not be forgiven for either of these things. I have truly repent, i hate sin and have changed my mind about my sin. But I am still going to hell?

Rest assured that all who come to Jesus, He will CERTAINLY NEVER CAST OUT.
^ This offer goes to anyone. If you think otherwise, then you’re not believing.
But if you do believe in Him, then know that He gladly accepts you
He will NEVER lose ONE sheep.
Don’t trust in your level of faith or repentance, just believe In Jesus and His abilities, and He will work with you from there.

This is incorrect, you’re answer contradicted what you just read. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with what you say or don’t say. “The Holy Spirit came to convict the world of SIN (plural, all inclusive), righteousness, and judgement!” John 16:8. Blasphemy of The Holy Spirit only occurs when you take your last breath while ignoring that conviction. Man is appointed once to die and then the judgement. You can’t be saved because you’re dead not because you call Jesus a demon. In fact the sentence right before that He says if you blasphemy the Son of Man you can be forgiven.

Repent of the old ways- the masterbation, the porn, the things you do in secret - find an Elder- I presume you are a woman- make sure it’s a woman…. Find a church - read your bible- stay close to your Father- your earthly Father has been given the responsibility to protect you- if your father says that’s not good Listen- respect him- he is preparing you to respect your Husband and The Heavenly Father

“And Jesus said, I tell you the truth, whoever commits sin is a slave to sin, but the slave shall not abide in the house of God forever…
But he that the son sets free is completely set free.” John 8:34-36
It is the act of first choosing to commit a sin that enslaves a man or woman, causing addictions and prevents people the ability to overcome many sinful acts. Everyone at
some point in their lives does choose to do what they know is wrong and does become a slave to some sins; But if you are set free by Jesus Christ, the slavery of sin is broken and
    freewill is restored.
“By what a man is overcome, the same is he also enslaved.” 2 Peter 2:
But some might say, we are all sinners, everyone sins and we always will be sinners while we live in this world. Though this may be true, as we all do make errors in
judgment and act without thinking and we certainly all make mistakes, it must be brought to light that the bible makes a difference between the types of sins, some being sins that
are forgivable, and some which are not forgivable.
“Whoever takes action against what is taught by the son of man, it can be forgiven of him; But whoever blasphemes the holy spirit can never be forgiven, not in this life or the next.”
    Matthew 12:32
“If anyone becomes aware of a brother having committed a sin not unto death, they shall ask God for forgiveness and God will give life unto those that commit a sin not unto death.
There is a sin that is unto death, for such, I do not say that you should pray for it.” 1 John 5:16
Clearly, in these scriptures there is a distinction made between two types of sin, one being less severe of a transgression against God and the other a mortal sin. In our modern
bibles it can be very difficult to find understanding and clarity on the subject, but at the time of the writings of these above quotes it was commonly understood what was meant
by the differences between sins, as it is written in the old testament scriptures and was expressed in the Greek language in which the scriptures were written. All we need to do
    is look there for understanding.
“When one commits a sin in ignorance before the Lord, atonement shall be made and it shall be forgiven unto him. You shall have one law for all that sin ignorantly for both those that are born among the children of Israel and also for the foreigner (gentile). But the one that sins defiantly (presumptuously), whether native born or a foreigner (gentile), he blasphemes the Lord and he must be cut off (H-3772 -killed), because he has despised the Lord’s instructions and broken his commandments, his sin shall remain upon him.”
    Numbers 15:28-31
This verse very clearly defines blasphemy of the holy spirit (God), what a sin unto death is and also what sin not unto death is. When we have this in mind, we can then start to
    understand many other scriptures.
“Because if we willfully commit sin, after we have come to understand the true way, there is no longer a sacrifice remaining for such a defiance against God; But there is a certainty of terrifying judgment and the fiery anger of God that shall consume all that defy him. Anyone who disregarded the law of Moses was put to death without pity at the testimony of two or three witnesses; How much harsher of a punishment is then due, if someone pushes the son of God down under their feet and chooses to defile the blood of Christ and the covenant by which they had been cleansed, and also chooses to defy the spirit that has brought unto them the assistance of God?”
    Hebrews 10:26-29
“Even though I had at one time been a blasphemer and persecuted the people of Christ, I received the grace of God abundantly and I received forgiveness, because what I did, I did in ignorance.” 1 Timothy 1:13
“Because the wrath of God is revealed upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of every man that knows what is right, yet chooses to do that which is unrighteous.”
    Romans 1:18
taken from "THE ETERNAL BOOK OF TRUTH THE NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES"
