I think rather than memorization people would just practice on this non stop since not being able to understand and/or react to the notes is not the biggest issue but executing them. Muscle memory carries over to other songs too.

Flicks are annoying in that you have to kind of slide your finger up? And if you don't control the movement, epsecially in the heat of the moment where you're prone to giving strong flick out of panic and desperation, you can take too much time to hit the next note or shift your entire device. Also, the bars for notes are thin so you have to be very horizontally accurate, which is difficult if you're doing a vertical movement, which also makes playing on thumb significantly harder too (I full combo-ed HARD Bring It On with great difficulty as a thumb player since with thumbs, you have to hit flicks with certain pressure and angle too or the motion doesn't register.)

dunno if its useful anymore but i *think* it may be an ipad pro? the screen size suggests its a tablet and well ipad pro has double the screen response as ipad air, which means it picks up the pen/touch at pretty much the exact same time the pen/finger taps the screen, reason why many artists prefer pro over air! and yeah, ios has a good performance with most games because its like it was made to resist heavy rendering. idk much abt mobile devices but been having to research a little because i want to get one myself for illustration :))

His team is made by the event bonus. This was during fan festa event, which was pure and the character bonus were ichika, tsukasa, minori, kohane, kanade and miku. Building your team using characters you like is what most beginners do and while there's nothing wrong with that, participating in events will get you new cards and crystals, so just build your team based on the current event
