  • In this video, I attempt to plant a no-till food plot on some new property behind our house. Over all, it did decent, and the deer loved it. More rain would have been a lot of help as we entered a month-long drought shortly after planting.

Nice property Boss. I highly suggest you plant some fruit trees in that pasture. Pears, Crabapples and apples. Check out The Wildlife Group, Whitetail Crabs and Blue Hill wildlife nursery . They have special variety's that drop during hunting season and some all winter long.

I own 4 acres. One acre is kinda off to the side and butts up to my neighbors which is all woods, I only own maybe 50’ of tree line before it hits what used to be open pasture. I’ve been baiting deer into the area all year and now their regularly walking through during early mornings and evenings.
It’s only MAYBE 250yards from the house, but I’ve let everything grow in so the deer feel it’s safe.
I guess my point being, it’s possible! Idk if your gonna get the biggest buck, but you can definitely put food on the table.

Thanks' for watching! I've had some pretty decent bucks on camera back there this summer. Fingers crossed they will still be around when season comes in.

I have a small food plot like this that I have sprayed and killed off. It’s on 15 acres of hardwoods touching 200 of govt. Hoping I can pull them off it to me. I have faith and this video helped me. I will fertilize and spread it with a hand spreader is the only difference. Thanks for the video

@@RhodesLessTraveledOutdoors I’m in the northern tip of the Ozark mountains north of Springfield. I bought some just wanting to see how well it came back. Thank you for answering.
