And now you are the Pioneer of making wood work videos on RUclips with 1.1 Million Subscribers, it's been a long way Steve. I love it, cause you were the first wood working channel that I was looking to when I decided to make mine. Keep up the great work!!!
I have to say man, I spend HOURS watching your videos and have enough projects now to work on for an entire year. You've also given me some EXCELLENT ideas I thought of while watching some of yours. Thanks! Seriously, keep it up!
Steve. I have seen everyone of your videos and they are awesome. Keep up the great work. I just made a donation and I hope you other viewers that can will. I truly look forward to these videos each week. So lets keep Steve going everyone.
Man, your videos are great! Whenever I watch THIS OLD HOUSE or Yankee workshop. They do things that are so elaborate. And a lot of times you have to be pretty advanced in wood working to be able to complete them. I like how your projects are still fairly easy but still look great. Thanks a bunch. Your should make a video for cheap and easy but nice looking garage cabinets.
Hey, Steve, the blood all rushed to my head when you turned me upside down! I love the rose and how you transferred the pattern and then ground it out. Very cool.
Dude, thanks! I was looking for my second woodworking project after making a scabbard for my sword. And with the rose on there, I think my wife is going to love it!
Steve, Congrats on your 101st vid! At 10 cents a vid, that makes around $10.10 and I have seen and enjoyed every single one. If all of your subscribers would donate at the same paltry rate as I have, you should be good to go. Please keep posting.
good vid Steve and keep up the good work, donation made mate and was well worth a small donation for the hard work you put in to it, as I am sure everyone else will give a DONATION tooooooooo , regards Matt
Hey Steve. Love your vids, I think I've seen them all, and I'm not even a wood worker :) You shold do the paper towler holder in a way, so that you could mount the different foils and films in the top box, and pull the choosen foil out of thin slots in the front! :) Keep Woodworkin' Cheers from Denmark! :) Regards Morten
Just discovered your videos and I really like them. I am a welder and I do metal projects but I would live to mix some wood and metal together in a project.
Hy, good job. I wish i could make simple projects like yours but i don't have the money to buy cool tools like yours, i only have a 400$ salary a month so buying woodworking tools is momentarily out of the question....keep up the good work and hope to see more fun projects from you
Oh my Gosh you've come so far! lol I love watching your older videos it shows how camera shy you used to be! haha and that you started out with not so many tools like me! :-) I'm considering starting to make videos as well, I love woodworking, always have and would love to share it with the world. But on a seperate note WHY DON'T YOU DO THAT DREMEL CARVING STUFF ON ANY OF YOUR NEW STUFF????? You really should :-)
If you have a laser printer or make a copy of the flower on a copy machine, you will be able to iron tranfer the image on. I have a nice laser printer and I have done images in color onto the wood that look great. It takes a little bit of practice because if you are not carefull the paper just sticks to the wood. I will try to make a video when I have time. I have a few wood projects on my channel TheMrByrom.
@gdog1954 Oh, I just drilled two holes in the back and screwed it into the cabinet. It was a little tricky...I had to use a really small screwdriver to fit in the box.
Love the rose I have a similar one tattooed on my chest as it looks like the rose of England rugby union love the woodwork too would be glad to donate but out of work ATM good luck and thanks for the videos
Hey Steve. Are you familiar with Etsy? That is a site that specializes in selling handmade or home made items including a lot of woodwork. And the price is AMAZINGLY low like ten cents an item Your work is, in my opinion, much better than most of the items sold on there. If you haven't yet, give it a view. That is Etsy.com.
A donation has been registered in your name to a charity of my choosing this year, sorry! You have been added to my top 49 list of people/organizations that does deserve a donation, because of the help, joy and entertainment that you bring to everyone that knows you. I will catch you next year in person.
where were you four years ago when I built my sorry little paper towel holder hahahah.......Seriously keep it up man...give me your address...oh it is worth money to keep you running. I will give generously...(actually what I can afford haha) And I challenge all other lovers of woodwork donate
Well I'll Subscribe and watching your videos and maybe that'll help you earn an extra penny from RUclips's adds lol. Btw, They had 2 adds in this 10 minute show for me... So they know you're a beast don't worry about that.
if you can't get to your shop right away after making thos print outs....dampen the wood and run a hot iron over the sheet....it will still transfer. Now I'll hush.
What do you mean you get boring stuff on PBS at 10.07? Bob Ross Painting happy trees is on PBS. And yes I actually like Bob Ross. I think he is a brilliant painter.
Anyone who knows can answer this question. (Please) Can you put any finish over acrylic paint? Like polyurethane or some kind of stain? Or just spray lacquer? Thanks! :)
I have used Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish. It is a clear finish topcoat for wood in a water-based formula that offers wood protection along with fast-drying times. I applied it over my acrylic paint on my kitchen counter tops and it is working so far.
This is a little late but I'm pretty sure you can use just about anything, (not sure about stains) as long as you're not eating off that surface, or baking it in the oven to set the paint, which is sometimes done on glass ware or plates. I've even used a thick spar urethane that's normally used on boats to help waterproof the wood over pots I've painted to protect and waterproof them. Now stains I'm not so sure about, unless you're talking about a transparent/semi-transparent deck stain, but even with them you really need to strip off any paint for it to absorb and protect the wood, so don't think that's what you want, lol. One thing I always look for in a protective topcoat is UV protection so it doesn't yellow over time. Hope this somewhat helps, 2 years later..... :)
I know you don't get your lumber at Lowe's. Even though it is white pine....it is FLAT..any lumber you get at Lowes is cupped sometimes beyond use...Where do you get lumber.
And now you are the Pioneer of making wood work videos on RUclips with 1.1 Million Subscribers, it's been a long way Steve. I love it, cause you were the first wood working channel that I was looking to when I decided to make mine. Keep up the great work!!!
Your channel is great too, I'm sure it'll scale up! Keep up the good work!
Steve my man, you have aged so well. Honestly, i feel like you look older here (10 years ago), and younger now! I couldnt believe this was you!
nice clock in the wall over the paper towel holder! ;)
thank you steve for this video but the only thing i want to ask is
how would hang it on the wall? huh!
I have to say man, I spend HOURS watching your videos and have enough projects now to work on for an entire year. You've also given me some EXCELLENT ideas I thought of while watching some of yours. Thanks! Seriously, keep it up!

I like your vids, you make things that solve problems.
And you make it simple as possible with humor.
Thank you Steve
Watching your videos from a decade ago it's like looking at different person you're so much mature now.
Man, your videos are great! Whenever I watch THIS OLD HOUSE or Yankee workshop. They do things that are so elaborate. Wow! serves as paper towel holder and a decorative too, excellent! Thanks for sharing your idea.
love your tutorials, I miss my wood shop class and watching these videos is the next best thing
Hey, Steve, the blood all rushed to my head when you turned me upside down!
I love the rose and how you transferred the pattern and then ground it out. Very cool.
I love your videos Steve, they make people enthusiastic about woodworking
Using the dremel to carve out the rose is a clever idea. I'm gonna have to try that now! Cool video
Just found your channel thanks to matthias swandel and subbed, good work and love the carefree attitude and sense of humor.
Dude, thanks! I was looking for my second woodworking project after making a scabbard for my sword. And with the rose on there, I think my wife is going to love it!
That Rose thing was pretty cool bud. Thanks for that and the spring idea.
Steve,

@Buzzsawman Great idea. I hadn't thought of that!
Just discovered your videos and I really like them. I am a welder and I do metal projects but I would live to mix some wood and metal together in a project.
@Buzzsawman Yeah, a lot of the big box stores sell pretty crappy lumber. I usually get lumber from a small local lumberyard.
Hy, good job. I wish i could make simple projects like yours but i don't have the money to buy cool tools like yours, i only have a 400$ salary a month so buying woodworking tools is momentarily out of the question....keep up the good work and hope to see more fun projects from you
Great idea
Looks similar to the same thing I used to see in my grand ma's house, (I'm 51 so, it was a WHILE ago). Useful then, useful today, nice job.

Shoow Steve. Muito lergal. Vou tentar fazer. Abraço.
Awesome, I'm going to make mine with a garbage bad dispenser too! Hmm, must think this one through.
you should make horizontal slots in the box and feed the foil and plastic wrap through making it like a dispenser.
@blingandnemo Thanks Matt. It really helps.

it would be nice to this webshow turn into a real show like on pbs :D hahaha, im serious
Love the rose I have a similar one tattooed on my chest as it looks like the rose of England rugby union love the woodwork too would be glad to donate but out of work ATM good luck and thanks for the videos
