Well the problem is, a good bp team will have ways of bypassing Roar, using Soundproof MrMime, Magic Bounce Espeon or any taunt user. Your opponent just happened to have a bad built bp team.

@@antoniodibello7805 Of course, the more moveslots you dedicate to countering one playstyle, the worse off you’ll be against others (that’s why it’s banned in normal tiers, despite being relatively superficially easy to counter).
And how to reliably counter Roar, Whirlwind, etc... with Ingrain... And how to counter that playstyle as a whole? Haze... Specifically Prankster Haze Murkrow

@@OFFendedRex not every team is obligated to run it and multiple pokemon can't be used in any tier other than nat dex ag. Also sword dog is banned to nat dex ag and isnt allowed in ou or uu
@@TrainerGoldAlt ye ur right for Ubers at least Zamazenta is allowed. I agree that not all teams are needed to run Zacian but having some dogs on the higher tiers would have been nice. A mega Lucario would be cool swords dance set or nasty plot would have worked either way. Sure some of the lower tiers have moves that are not accessible on higher tiers dogs but there's a reason there higher.

Ok so news flash. Smeargle is a support pokemon and only really sweeps once you insure all your opponents checks are gone usually under web support.
Blaming Granbull for kinda shitty team composition makes absolutely no sence.
especially when granbull doesn't even counter BP since it gets blocked by both Espeon and Mr Mime, which both are fairly common in those builds.

Hazard Setter Smeargle can set up hazards just fine im addition to crippling it with Spore or Nuzzle.
Baton Pass Smeargle just Baton Passes to someone else to handle Granbull.
And Shell Smash into Power Trip Smeargle can Spore it and either boost or switch to someone else to kill it.
