Now I know what I'm going to do with the Valentine's Day sprinkles I got in Walmart! I'm going to make this in my mini-Bundt pans using chocolate cake mix, but instead of chocolate chips I have some cherry chips that I'm going to use in the batter, although I'll stick with chocolate for the frosting, then decorate it with the pretty pink, red, and while sprinkles. My mini-Bundt pan has six cavities in it, so I should get at least six little cakes out of this. I'm also thinking chocolate cake with peanut butter chips, or vanilla cake with salted caramel chips, or yellow cake with butterscotch chips... 😋

Thanks for the recipe, I have baked this recipe about once a year for 20 years and left my recipe at home and wanted to make it for family I am visiting in the south and I did not want to forget any of the ingredients. I never have put icing on mine however but I will use your recipe for icing as well this time around. Yours looks soooo good it will hard to wait two days to eat a slice for the event I plan to make it for. I will be baking it tomorrow evening for Friday lunch time. Yummy! Hey Tammy what experience have you had using foil at the bottom of your oven ! I just purchased my oven and I warns against it. I’m worried about spilling onto the beautiful blue finish inside
My oven is gas and it also has convection so when I put foil in the bottom I make sure and not cover any air holes. It's just in the very center and I haven't had a problem. I know not to cover the air holes. People are doing this with the air fryer. They're putting liners in them which defeats the whole purpose in the air trying to fry the food when it's being blocked. I hope this helps

I love these cakes, I use a small can of sweetened condensed milk instead of sour cream, makes it super moist.
