- A short video from Portland, Dorset using a DJI Phantom2 with H3-3D gimbal and Go-Pro3+ black. First video using this set up. Video is from my first flights on the Island but have more places to shoot. Portland really is a place with hidden surprises!
I have lived here for 9 years and have been visiting for 30 years previously ,but was moved to tears seeing the old rock from this view
I served in the RN during the late sixties/seventies and spent a lot of time at Portland, my frigate was part of the Portland Training Squadron. Lovely to see the place again from a very different view. I loved the place, lots of the lads would catch a cab to Weymouth, but there were some great pubs just outside the dockyard gates and into Portland, plenty good enough for me. Happy memories.
Ive travelled the world and 7 seas
Lived in New York - London and Paris
Ive retired to Portland
Amazing place
Nice work. You had a nice day for this too. VERY calm waters for Portland Bill.
Brilliant.
Such a beautiful video!!!
Great video of a very special place. Spent many happy Sundays diving on both sides of the island.
Used to get my blood up seeing the Sequestered Isle from the road over the Hardy monument.
Lovely Prog Rock sound track.
Who is it?
Fantastic vid
Nice 👍
That's really amazing. We're running an obstacle course race on Portland in February. Your video shows off some of the route beautifully. Would you have any objection if we put it in our Facebook page?
Not at all!
Mike Drew
Ah, thank you. It will be up on the 'Tuff Enuff' FB page shortly. If you're in Portland on 28 February come over and say hello.
