  • Learn to make a beautiful crystal beaded single strand split necklace. This is a technique tutorial and is suitable for beginners.
Supplies I used for an 16” choker
53 -4mm faceted crystal bicones (sky blue)
(1 on focal Headpin, 2 on focal drop, 25 on each strand)
    54 - 4mm SST spacer beads
    (27 on each strand)
    1 - 22mm hexagon crystal (clear)
    6 - 2mm faceted crystals (clear)
    1- Headpin with ball end
    1- any clasp ( I used a toggle)
    2 - 6mm jump rings (silver)
    2 - #1 crimp beads
    2 - crimp covers (silver)
    2 - wire guardians (silver)
20” piece of 49 strand .018” beading wire (you can use any strand of .015”, .018”, .019”, the more flexible the better for this project)
    Chain nose pliers
    Round nose pliers
    Flat nose pliers
    Flush wire cutters
Regular wire cutters (to cut Headpin)

Hello Jen, I LOVE this link necklace tutorial. Where can I buy the hexagon crystal drop that you used?

Thanks so much, this technique turns out beautifully. The large clear crystal is like a square with tiny angles on each side, they are so stunning and very difficult to get my hands on. I actually sell those in my store, I believe I have a few left. If you would like, sign up for my newsletter, there’s a box on the bottom left side of my home page, my spring sale starts April 1st, and a sale code will go out on my Spring Sale newsletter on Monday, if you’re interested you can save a little extra $. My store 🔗 is right under my channel name….. it’s www.JewelrybyJen.co 💜

Hi Jen nice to meet you. That's a beautiful hexicon stone. Why didn't you do a wrap loop for security instead. 🤔

Hi there Loren 👋 😂Nice to meet you as well and thank you for watching. I was thinking of beginners when I designed it, that crystal is so beautiful I wanted it to speak for itself, and I didn’t have any smaller gauge Headpins on hand. But that is absolutely a great idea too and there’s so many ways to add the drop. I think I have some colored craft wire and so I may do another one with that technique. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 💕

I like your style, but I really wish you’d show the actual necklace you’re making at the beginning of the video. For those of us who are ‘visual’ learners, this would make ALL the difference!

Great suggestion. Happy to do so. Some times I'm designing something on the fly, but really good idea. Thank you for the feedback, appreciate it. :)
