Using Boric Acid and Alcohol solution to prevent fire scale on Sterling silver. I set up my solder joint using batterns and snippets. I wick off most of the flux then heat until the flux has dried, because there is minimal flux, there is minimal frothing, minimal movement. While the piece is still hot from drying the batterns, I paint on a boric acid/alcohol solution. It dries immediately and stops before it floods the prepared joint. Again avoiding frothing and movement of the snippets and parts because the boric acid has not flooded the joint.

Thanks for this...I'm loving the cloisonné process but still struggling with settings! Nice to see it up close. 😊
