The final boss is no stranger than the player roster making up a robot, a street punk, a ninja, a pop idol, an officer, a dolphin, a pretty boy, and a baby.
Nonetheless, my first job was at a movie theater. We had this game on a MVS 1-slot Cab in our arcade. I'll never forget the father/son team playing this, both of them going "WOA, OMG" at the first boss.

I'm starting to think the Aero Fighters are the bad guys in these games. You do more damage to the cities than the "enemy forces" do. They're not attacking anyone except you... probably because you're blowing up buildings all willy-nilly...

@cubex55 I loved the old raiden jet fighters games and bought them on console only to have the screen too small to see what the hell was going on. If they were going to port them they should have streched the screen to fit!
I would have loved to see Mao-Mao in action instead, but at least i still get to see a great video of a classic shmup.

after the ending, the game continues from first level again but with current ammo grade and bombs. the enemies are stronger though. but originally there wasn't continuation after beating the last boss. perhaps what i played was remake version.

Yeah, Lar(that's the name of the eye final boss) is pretty surreal, but it's pretty awesome too.
I miss this game. I remember the bug in the game in one of the levels where if your stay in one particular spot, the boss cant hit you cause it's all scripted shots.
It was the first level. But it doesn’t work on new game plus
A safe spot is not a bug. Most shooters have it.

After a second of thought it made perfect sense to me. No, these games can not be played with a mouse the way Amphok wants them to be though. He's thinking in terms of precision maneuvering the planes around quickly with the mouse. In vision, your fighter would move fast, and zig zag all over the screen, but the most that could be done to make just playing with the mouse possible is using joy2key, and having your mouse emulate a stick. You'll only move as fast as the game let's you though.

Engrish basically. It's "Fly to the rain forest", but due to mistranslation from Japanese to English sometimes the L's are replaced with R's, and vice versa
There are better ways for playing most of the stages ... but I like the performance and the game at all ! Congrats !

So, basically some new studio needs to make a shmup for Steam in which you can do that, but design the game around a mind-blowing difficulty so you can't only just uses the speed of the mouse to your advantage.
bullshit. it's just chaining together state saves, just like that Mario Bros. 3 "speedrun" Although, by 19:00 it reveals a very VERY rare song track that almost nobody ever hears, and i've tried remixing once.
What would the name of this track be? Thanks :D
