I told my wife around pick 23 that I thought the Chiefs were on the phone trying to trade up. Turns out it was a couple of picks earlier. I think Veach is an extremely intelligent GM.

@@Weshoppingforless buddy he won a superbowl two years ago with 8 rookies starting. Then adding more rookies to start and winning last year. Pulled in Tranquil and Omenihu on stupid nice deals. He’s won 3/4 super bowls. He’s at least the best in the last six years.

The same armchair GMs that hate the pick were probably upset the last time we traded with the Bills in the draft.. The Chiefs draft extremely well and have built a dynasty. I would bet on Worthy good pick based off recent success.
I dont hate the pick , just think Worthy would have been available at 32. If not, you could have gone with Mitchell, McConky, Coleman, Franklon or Pearsol and came out with a WR of the same caliber.
@@J-B0NE the Chiefs clearly think their guy is better than the other WRs you listed and moved up to protect from SF or even BUF from picking him up. There's a better chance than not this kid is gonna be special.

Seems like Pat is likely a lot more involved and part of this than any other QB in the NFL. I seriously doubt other QB's are texting their GM several picks ahead asking for updates. And guessing no other GM's are texting their pick before it's turned in. And I doubt no other QB is telling the GM and Head Coach their list of who they want. I'm guessing Mahomes has veto power on offensive picks. Guarantee Josh Allen wasn't consulted about the trade. And it's obvious Burrow is completely out of the loop because they selected a tackle who has only started 8 total games in his college career. And guarantee Lamar Jackson has no say. It's really obvious is the only player who has this kind of power.

Hardman was still learning the WR position even last year, still learning. Worthy can run the full route tree, great tracking the ball, good routes at every level. And then…4.21 speed. He is a true WR who can do gadget stuff at times. Hardman was a gadget player who could do WR stuff at times. Happy for our Chiefs
Hardman was just fine. Once upon a time he had the best hands on the team. It sure wasn't Hill!

i like the player but i don’t love the move up especially with the talent still on the board. i’m a little concerned about his size given that he’s built like my nephews when they were sophomores in high school.
I think the move up is okay. You can afford to do that when you win the Superbowl. Also I get the point about his size, the good thing is he will only be 21 when the season starts so hopefully he can hit the weight room and get a tad bigger.
If Veach has an Achilles heel it’s WR evaluating. I hope he nailed this one, but we took Mecole over Metcalf and Watkins and MVS weren’t exactly great signings.
Hindsight is always easy. Didn’t Watkins and MVS score in AFC Championship games? Anyway I don’t like the pick either but didn’t see a better WR still on the board . Andy will always take a chance on a WR with elite speed and good hands. We can revisit this in November and see where all the rookies end up. I don’t think worthy will stay healthy especially seeing he will return kicks… let’s go!!! I am so ready for this season!!!

AD MITCHELL apparently has very bad mood swings with rice in trouble they don't need more drama!! I wouldn't draft another questionable character wide receiver either. That's y people were passing on him. Dude is a beast, but yea we got our hands full with wild personalities don't need had any more. I would of preferred Lad tbh!
@@justinsoileau8392 I read that too, mood swings and what not. Man I just can't get over worthy at 165lbs. Sure they can put weight on him but what does that do to his speed. Just seems like a rerun of picking a fast guy. Sounds like Mahomes kinds tells Veach what he wants and if it works out he gets them
