I came to Kamakura today for some business.
Kamakura is an ancient city that prospered about 800 years ago. There are many shrines and temples, and it is like a miniature version of Kyoto.
It takes only 1 hour by train from Tokyo to Kamakura. Therefore, travelers staying in Tokyo can enjoy a short excursion to Kamakura on a day trip.
Kamakura may be a good choice for those who have time constraints and cannot make the trip to Kyoto.
