COBRA KAI NATION: I am so glad that they changed the plot of this movie. Another thing that they could possibly be doing as well is that this next tournament could actually be the Seiki Taiki. The Seiki Taiki is a tournament held every year and we know that this movie takes place 3 years after Cobra Kai ends & they may have made some changes in the tournament during that time to include Kung Fu because as you said, Karate exists because of Kung Fu, what do you think?
i thought it was every year because in cobra kai season 5 -2020 hawks said “did you catch that kick from last years sekai tekai 2019 and we know the current plot right now is 2020
Get use to cobra Kai not being in this film because Daniel is the karate kid , get out of cobra Kai orbit for once , this doesn't involve them or sekai takai , it's revolves around this new student and two legendary characters who are both icons in Hollywood movies. Cobra Kai is for binge watchers, this is a movie.
Karate Kid.1, 2, 3 and Next Karate Kid always felt bigger and more important to any of the events in Cobra Kai. Cobra Kai is small scale. Even the Sekai Taikai tournament feels small, despite it taking place in another country.
I just hope that this is not the end of karate kid franchise, because there is a lot to explore. I hope we can get ne shows and films starting from here, with high quality and not yearly low quality
Personally anything to do with The Karate Kid is a win in my books, can't get enough of it. By the way my name is Daniel, and I was born on 19th December 1984....If anyone knows that significant date ; )
I don't see the big deal with having another tournament. Like what was said in the video, the new tournament could be a blend of different martial arts. It would be so cool if Daniel brought Johnny to teach Li karate office, while Daniel obviously teaches karate defence, and Mr. Han teaches Kung Fu
Miyagi ancestor came from China. Karate comes from China. Shorin Ryu is just okinawan translation of Shaolin Kung Fu. Miyagi style is modeled after Goju Ryu that comes from white crane kung fu.
@songoku9348 Chojun Miyagi & his master Higaonna Kanryo both studied extensively in Fukian China. My system includes Kenpo in the lower ranks, Taekwondo in the middle ranks & Kung-fu for the advanced. So we are well aware how Taekwondo & Karate both are rooted in Kung Fu & the history behind all 3.
i want Hilary Swank to get her own Cobra Kay spinoff series. I hope that's what they're saving her for since she hasn't even been mentioned in cobra kay yet and she's a vital part of Miyaji San since she was his 2nd estudent
That's the confirmation for what i thought. The ck part 3 will set up the movie. That's the only reason the delayed the movie release 😅 Mr Han will show up in e.15 And I am telling you that sensei wolf has a role in that whole connection! Miyagi do is from China 🇨🇳 never forget that!!!
It's 3 years after Cobra Kai. Plus the fliming for Cobra Kai, involves a satisfying ending to the character in Cobra kai Via Ralph himself. They didn't flim a post credit scene that ties to this movie
Ok let me explain something to you all. ‘Miyagi do’ Karate is quite literally the real world style of Goju Ryu Karate. It was founded by Chojun Miyagi and he studied different and various Chinese styles, one of which being fujian white crane. So to all of you this is mind blowing but to me, I already knew. I have been studying Shotokan since 2010 and have researched different styles of martial arts over the years.
Hope the movie does great, but in all honesty, I'm not that excited about it because, to me, it feels like a huge money grab because of the success of Cobra Kai. Also, I wish we would be getting for marketing on part 3.
it's Sony so I'm not holding my breath. They love people reviving their properties so they can milk them later to huge diminishing returns. Always trying to speedrun a new universe that only got the opportunities in the first place because they lucked out with the few creators that have brought the old properties back from the glory days. I'm not very fond of how easily medications are given out these days, but the people at Sony should all be on Adderall. I hope I'm wrong on this one as I love the films and the series. If it is successful (for them that is just making any kind of profit), we'll probably be getting another 4 or 5 KK films in the next few years. Not sure I can think of another studio that is as reactive as Sony is. Nor as braindead with decision-making.

The ST is held every 2 years.
Yes

Looking forward to it. Daniel larusso and Mr Han together. ? Awesome time to be a karate kid fan

Next karate kid. They get new students and go to a muay thi master to ask them to unlock legs of steel and how to elbow

Can’t wait to see Jackie and Ralph together

You know your stuff. 👍 There are 65 katas in Goju Ryu and the style translates to ‘hard soft style’

Goju takes from white crane, mantis, and other kung fu styles.

I just noticed that Ben Wangs suit looks like the iron dragons suit.
They just have a similar colour and look, but I don’t think there’s any connection to it. Although Li Fong is from China.
@@CobraKaiNation And so is Iron Dragons
this plot sounds like fan fiction from 10yrs ago :/
I disagree

WHOAHHHH thats really nice to know! Thank you so much for the information and the time you’ve put.
Thoughts on wolf vs Johnny
Why do I think towards the end of Cobra Kai Season 6 this movie will get hinted at.🙂
CHOZEN THE REAL MVP
Just awesome
Trailer is out
At may 30 its my bday😊
Release date same as my birthday
Will Johnny have a cameo?
Nope.
Who’s the main villain for this movie I hope they bring Terry silver to return
Pretty sure he gonna die in season 6 he’s self medicating right now he doesn’t have another 3 years bro
@@MDMOBB
Better Kreese dead than Silver.
@ fax
I think it should be Master Li! From 2010 movie! Both Kreese and Silver should have their arcs completed in Cobra Kai!

That’s the worry most fans are having, but if the film still turns out good and respects the Miyagiverse, then I’m here for it.

@CobraKaiNation great point. I do hope it does great and it definitely has a lot of potential.
