- In this episode of "Dad Got This," Iackle the big question every Florida resident faces: Can a portable battery generator power your Ninja Woodfire Grill during a storm? Living in Florida means dealing with constant storms and power outages, but losing all that precious food in your fridge or freezer is the real nightmare! I dive deep into my new EcoFlow Delta 1300 portable battery generator, showing you how it could be the perfect solution for your emergency power needs-minus the fumes and hassle of a traditional gas generator.

I hope you made it through Milton without needing to use this, and if you did use it, I hope it worked well.
We lost power for 36 hours, and with strategically moving things from the refrigerator to the chest freezer, I think we did alright.
I was already looking at a smaller version earlier today, but this might be the unit I end up getting.
We got really lucky and I never had to use it. The Delta 2 is probably a newer and updated version of this but it was much more expensive when I bought mine. With the recent drop on them I would look at that unit.
Thank you for this video! I just bought the exact same generator. It is still in the box. Lol. I live in Southern GA and Hurricane Helene left me without power for days. I'm excited to test this Ecoflow Delta 1300 out. I got the solar panels, as well. Thank you, again. This was awesome!
Awesome! I hope it works out for you. Hope everything is ok with you and your home.
@@DadGotThis Thank you for asking. I am okay. So many people's homes were destroyed. I am very grateful.
THEY JUST UPDATED DELTA PRO WHICH HAS 1800WATTS. PLUS WITH A GENNY NO GAS AFTER A STORM
I have the ultimate version of this with home solar and two Powerwall 2s. That said these are great for camping trips, too. Keep devices like phones and cameras charged or cook on an induction stovetop. No need to bring anything else for cooking except the campfire.
Ha! You covered the camping part, too. Well done!
That sounds awesome!!
They finally started making the batteries with a lifespan that's worth the money. These things can go for years now and take exponentially more charge ups than lithium ion.
I’m excited to have something at least as a backup.
I have the Allpowers 400 watt panel. I live in northern Alberta Canada and I have achieved 380 watts in the summer. It's a monster, 46 lbs. I can move it around as needed to chase the sun with 25 feet of cable with little effort, I'm close to 70yrs old and weight in at 155lbs,lol. If I can do it you can too, lol. Enjoy the solar panel. PS: love the jokes, keep them coming. 👍
That solar panel is a beast for sure! Thanks for watching!!!
Great review. I’ve been considering getting one and now I do
The Delta 2 is an updated version. They seem to have stopped selling mine like right when I bought it on sale lol.
All I need is a hand crank/ solar charger radio with the ability to hook phone chargers, light sources too. I have got along just fine in the summer humidity during power outages. In the winter just have polar clothing. I don’t keep enough cold food items in a fridge to be concerned abt a generator. Eat frozen food items first before they thaw out. Then go to ur MREs, canned foods, packaged stuff to get you by. Having canned foods and bottled water will get you by for a good while.
I have a LARGE freezer with foods for filming purposes on the channel.
I love powe stations, my channel focuses on them and I use all of them.
That’s awesome! I am just starting to learn more about them. Thinking I may have gone with another unit if I had taken more time to research. But after a few things I got a really good deal on this. I ended up getting an additional 30% off the price I said in the video. My only goal is to save my fridge and freezer food lol.
Whatever you do , do not buy extension battery for it. You are better off buying 12V 100ah lithium battery and connecting it to your unit using eye ring battery connectors and xt60 plugs that you can connect to your solar or car port. With a 12V battery it will trickle charge at about 100 watts an hour, which is fine for your fridge and freezer and stops charging when power not required. If you buy a 48V battery it will charge it at 400 watts and you have 5 kilowatts of power to run your ecoflow for a while. I bought a 48V battery to extend the running time of my ecoflow. It runs my 26 cu.ft. fridge/freezer non stop for 55 hours straight. I'm surprised that the delta 2 are so expensive bought 2 of them for $499. Price on lithium 12V battery about 200 bucks and 1200 bucks for 48V battery. Also would recommend a small 2000 to 2200 watt inverter dual fuel generator . Buy as much propane as you like because it stores until you die without going bad. Only use it to charge your ecoflow which you will run for 2 hours to fully charge. While everybody else runs out of gas and 100's of thousands are needing gasoline because gas stations are blown away or no power for the pumps you already have your propane at home and a way to charge your ecoflow without solar or electricity and you don't have to wait in line for hours at the gas pumps.
So kinda like charging it off a car battery without the car???
great vid
Thanks!!!
Boy this one hit the spot the on solar battery charger, extension cords solar panel and brand names.l have what I call the money pit freezer holding all my meat, chicken , pork and wear about losing power so thank u for the info.this help me .
My freezer is what keeps me up at night too. I even put a special WiFi plug on it that send me a text message if the unit is without power for more than 3 minutes. Our problem the last time was it somehow tripped the GFI and we didn’t notice the tiny led was out until I went in it when it had to have been off for days.
I bought a delta 3 plus last month with the alternator charger starting to regret do so still hasn't shipped
Oh wow, what’s the delay???
What was the purpose of buying this over a delta 3 plus which goes for $650 right now?
I bought it before they went on sale. It took me a while to get to it and make a video on it.
At this point unless you are looking for a smaller and more lightweight unit or get a SMOKING deal on the 1300 the Delta 3 Plus is probably a better unit.
Besides the -200kwh from the battery I don’t see how this is better than the delta 3 anyway even if you got this for $650 I think the delta 3 would be more worth it
MUCH BETTER UNIT AND YOU CAN USE TWO 500W SOLAR PANELS THE UNIT IS 1800 W INSTED OF 1300W
I mean if you are happy with being able to run a real space heater for a few hours then being cold for the next day or more trying and hoping to be able to recharge with solar I guess you are good ??
I live in Florida I would never need a space heater.
@@DadGotThis no that’s true the rest of the country is probably going to wind up subsidizing insurance for you guys
@@DadGotThis I have both generator and battery but in a real power out emergency for any real length of time generator is the only option
Delta 2 or Delta 2 max?
@@CarterBechtol Delta 1300. It’s a little different.
@DadGotThis Can't even find that one. Well, congrats on purchase.

@@CarterBechtol The 1300 has a 1260Wh vs the 1024 of the Delta 2. The Delta 2 has the LPF batter though and says 3,000 cycles vs the NCM in the 1300 with 800 Cycles. The delta 2 has 2 more outlets and has the App control. The Delta 2 is now on sale for $899 and probably is the better deal right now.
@DadGotThis Gotcha. Have been looking at them for about a year. The Delta 2 went on sale for $499 just before Prime day. I finally pulled the trigger. Love your videos. Thanks for your reviews and tips.
