Great review! Just wanted to mention, since not many people realize, but the DMC elites literally have the BEST marking system EVER. Not a plug (though I wish it was) but it's absolutely insane how big and easy the markings are to read, yet completely invisible to laymen. Like give them a whole day and they'll probably still not figure it out. Also, the new DMC elites (V5) actually have even Better markings and are marked for the card position in a Mneumonica stack as well, which is insane! Plus, the face cards are also altered so that one card pip has a gap, basically making every card one-way on both the front and the back and easily readable during spreads! Bro, I cannot stop ranting about how good this deck is! Absolutely a must have for any card magicians (except for the price tag).

My niece had a colour theme for her 18th so I went in purple and took the amethyst v5s - bloody gorgeous - and did a couple of mentalist routines with her. Her boyfriend knew from the off there must have been marked cards, and spent a good 20 minutes trying to find the markings to no avail (I got him a pack for his birthday, he's a good lad). A work colleague got close because he does the blurred eyes thing (a painter's trick) when looking for markings. Which actually helped me with the tiny Mint cards markings.
The DMC's are my favorite decks for magic now. I have many bricks of marked Bicycle Maiden backs that will be taking a back seat to these. I have around 25 Green V4 decks, 50 V5 red decks, and just got 3 bricks of the new V5 Phantom Finish in Cobalt Blue-- So that's around 100 DMC decks. These newest V5's w Phantom Blue finish feel MUCH thicker than the other DMC's-- I'd love to see you review them-- much thicker feeling than the other DMC's-- at first I did not like that but they are great cards. Using Mnemonica in past few months so now these are truly lethal. Great review--- Thanks!!!
Thank you for doing this review. If my memory serves me right, I have seen only one other person do a review on this deck and that was Card Perfect Magician. I might be wrong on that, I'm not too sure. Other than that, this is a very cool deck of cards, I like everything about it, and I have never seen a marking system as easy as that. I wonder if the cards are read from a side view? I can write words in a special letter form that can only be read from the side that just looks like scribble when you just look straight at them.
I'm going to have to try that. Great idea. DMC's can't be read from the sides-- when the deck is bevelled slightly-- but that is why I have my Butterfly decks-- lethal!!!
I really like these cards, the back design is awesome but there is something I find really pleasing about the tuck. Great video as ever- love these deck reveiws

Not a bad review. But why do you think it's okay to give away phil smith and dmcs hard work designing these cards in your thumbnail plus showing the crib card. Not a good magicians move in my opinion.
I appreciate your input, and I definitely see where you’re coming from. From my perspective, I’m helping a consumer make an informed decision about the playing cards they may purchase. But again, I can understand the point of view of not being a good magician for doing so
I agree the thumbnail should 10000% be changed. No need to giveaway the markings openly. You can def share them in the video, I just think it's kind of boof.
Penguin Magic had them in blue recently. Go check if they still do. It's worth the price. But I would never lay a finger on the overrated Penguin Magic Maiden Back marked cards. Even a blind person would spot those.

There are definitely cards that can be read from the sides. The scribbles sound like an interesting idea!
