The bikes are fantastic A real work of art YAMAHA R1 and R1M are amazing I wouldn’t choose anything else They eat up the track almost effortlessly. It’s going on my Christmas list 😈
I remember seeing some sort of Tour advertised by Yamaha. When was this Claudia? Ruby mentioned about this being a new circuit. Didnt know if this was before or after they resurfaced it? I was at the Cancelled MOTO GP there that saw some horrendous crashes and injuries.
Interesting view on the 2020. All the reviews still say the brakes are wooden and not very good. Since they used the same brakes on the 2020 as with the 2015, mine are very prone to fade and dont have a lot of feel.

I've got a question regarding R1s: I've got to replace my bike (I wrecked it last month) and the R1 is one of the options. I wanted to get a low mileage 2015 R1 since I expect it to sound nicer being Euro 3 emissions compliant but now I'm a bit hesitant since you said the 2018 and up models have a smoother throttle. (I'll be mostly riding on the street though) there are some good deals on new 2019 R1s so the price difference is quite small. Which would you pick?
Good content, way to go! If you'd like to make your videos even better try applying audio amplitude compression - it makes loudest sounds quieter and the most quiet a bit louder, so everything is more even. At the moment it's very uncomfortable to listen to such a huge amplitude differences. Cheers!
Good video. But one thing I'd like to suggest is if you're gonna put music over you riding is to mute the sound of the track entirely. Or remove the music and just keep track sounds. Having both is a bit distracting. When/if you get better equipment(to block out wind noise and stuff), I'm sure the lot of us would love to hear the raw onboard sound of you on these machines. No music. Cheers.
You really ought to get a better camera w stabilization for the hand held segments. Or a “stedi jr” to get a truly professional look. Good content though 🤙.
Be interesting to know actually how much different it is to my 2018 R1M, as that model has revised fuelling and it feels perfectly smooth, it also has the QS with blipper which is also a bit clunky going down the box, other than that it’s a mental bike. Doesn’t look like it’s worth an upgrade over the 2018
You guys are far too kind, if a guy puts out a video like this all you would hear is turn off that horrible music, and why the horrible camera angles, etc etc. Talk about double standards. I really didn't care for it, watching someone putt putt around a track on a bike they shouldn't be riding in the first place.
